A few years ago famous for this "You Should Be Here" banner. I was introduced to this organisation and I decided to listen to what it had to offer. The offer was a travel lifestyle which allowed you to earn through recruitment. The moment I heard that, I immediately shut myself off because this wasn't the first time I've heard of it having experienced something similar in many different names and forms since I was still in school, business school and when I began searching for business opportunities. Over the years, I've also heard of a business mentoring programme peddling health products which thrives on a similar concept, only much more treacherous in how it deceives because it required you to pay thousands upfront. Life is hard, and I don't blame those who get involved and push for such opportunities because they need to get out of the deal themselves sometimes. But the old adage is true, that when something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. There's no shortcut to success (in life or monetarily), and don't get bought into searching for people to recruit is also hard work (not that it isn't but..). There are things that you can learn from these type of businesses, and it's best to learn about them without the need to fork out any cash. They often have training days for members which you could attend and learn, or ask a friend who's already in the company to teach you. Chances are, your friend would be very willing to share because they'd want to recruit you as well. But more importantly, if you hear of an old friend saying, "I got an opportunity, let's meet up and then I'll tell". Be careful. Be wary.
