I’ve been trying to connect with music lately and it’s been hard to just totally relate in all seriousness. I listen for pleasure, but lately I’ve been wanting to listen for ascension, soul, purpose, love, truth, raw, realness.

Something with power and healing.

Summer Walker and Wale didn’t do it for me. Mainstream is not doing it for me.

…but then here comes an artist Faise One, who’s independent.

He just dropped a project on YouTube, straight cassette style. It’s exactly what I needed
