Pictures from our Paris travel day!
Longing for Paris
A year ago, I celebrated Mother’s Day by taking a train with my son, Xavier, on a rainy Sunday to NYC. We fought the weather all day with 3 large bags and finally made our way to The Best Western Hotel to leave our luggage using Luggage Hero. If you have never tried it when traveling I highly recommend it.
Not wanting to walk around forever in the rain looking for a place to eat, I checked Yelp and walked a few blocks to The Rag Trader & Bo Peep Cocktail and Highball Store. (See the full review on our Reviews page or Yelp)
The rain let up a bit, so we hopped a cab uptown to get pics of the luxury brand stores we would see in Paris but more importantly to check out my then obsession The Real Real (full review Yelp). After a quick look around and a few photos we hopped a cab to get our luggage, then 1 final cab to JFK airport.
I was fortunate to find THE GREATEST AIRLINE EVER: Norwegian Airlines (full review Google Maps)! With the incredible deal Norwegian provided we could afford to fly Premium. It was my first time in first class, so I had no idea what to expect (Yelp). We checked in and were told to go the Alitalia Lounge (review and more photos Trip Advisor, Google Maps,or Yelp).
Once we braved the nightmare that is JFK airport (review Google Maps or Yelp) the flight was everything you want first class to be from faster check-in to unlimited champagne
We slept like royalty in our first-row seat (book early 😉).
Like a little kid I screamed the first time we saw the Eiffel Tower! The driver we hired to pick us up at the airport didn’t show (Welcome Pickups apologized and gave me a refund) so we got a cab to our hotel. From there it was 1 exciting moment after the next.
Follow me over the next few weeks as I bring you Paris through the eyes of a first timer. Xavier and I did every tourist adventure you can imagine including a few adventures you can’t believe (Champagne tour or Disneyland Paris anyone!?!). Looking forward to seeing you back!
STAY FASHIONABLE!
