I think I fall in love a little bit with anyone who shows me their soul. This world is so guarded and fearful. I appreciate rawness so much.

Hi Ally! From your pictures, it looks like you're having a lot of fun partying it up at Brown! However, I really wanted to ask you about the academics and programs offered at Brown. Do you like the atmosphere there? How hard are the classes (that you are taking)? I feel like I want my undergraduate experience on the East Coast!
I cannot speak about Brown without getting overly emotional, so I'll respond to you after I finish my finals. But I 175389307126% encourage going to the east coast for college (assuming you are from California??) and I'm so excited to gush about Brown and my first year experience --- anticipate a response in about 2 weeks! (I finish finals next week but I'm staying til the 24th to work senior week)

The San Francisco Bay Bridge: New and Old
Enjoyed a wonderful photo adventure last Thursday in the city with friends. On the way home we had to stop at Treasure Island for this shot. Such a great time!
I miss my cityÂ
itâs 2014
let go of people who make you feel negative emotions
let go of people who make you feel like youâre not good enough
be around people who make you smile and laugh
be around people who think youâre amazingÂ
be around people who make you feel happy
donât waste another year on people who donât make you feel like youâre amazing
and additionally,
be around people you want to treat even better than yourself

Oh, of course that message wasn't meant to be offensive. Rather, I meant that the pursuit of continuously pushing yourself to be your best even if it means tiring yourself out doesn't stop after high school, does it? If you wanted to take a little time off to think about who you are & what you want to be, you'd fall behind everyone else who's accomplishing the things they've already decided on. And in that way, I guess that's what I meant by competition. Best of luck to you, Ally :)!
Sorry I have had a rough couple of days, so I apologize for the snappiness of my comment. I don't think there's no time to stop and reflect -- that's essential for your health and sanity. But thank you, and I wish you all the best with your endeavors!
EVERYTHING RELATE
Toddler naps with his 2-month-old puppy every day. Blogger Jessica Shyba and her family adopted an adorable 7-week-old mutt. They named him Theo. On his third day as part of their family, Theo joined Jessica and her toddler son Beau for afternoon snuggle time. Beau fell asleep and then so did Theo. The next day, he joined in the naptime ritual again. âAnd so began,â Shyba says, âthe most organic and beautiful friendship I have ever witnessed.â Since then, every day Theo waits for Beau to fall asleep and then joins him for his two-hour snooze.
Omggggg that is so damn cuteeee
so the competitive of getting into clubs, programs, and internships dont stop after high school, eh?
Competitiveness/competition* doesn't*
I wouldn't call it a competition. Rather, I think we are all just trying to educate ourselves through various pursuits. We're all striving to be successful and accomplished for our own sake. If anything, these people are not my competition, but instead my inspiration. I'm not sure if this message was meant to satisfy curiosity or belittle my character, but I am just upset by the way this question is phrased, making it seem as though the only way to "[get] into clubs, programs, and internships" is to beat other people. While that could be the case (ie. only one person can become the president of a club), that shouldn't be the main goal. Do it because you want to improve yourself, not because you want to be better than someone else.
I wrote the post below because I am in awe of how successful other people are. Constantly inspired by the dedication and intelligence of my fellow peers. Not because I am angered by the fact that they won the so-called competition, which probably doesn't even exist because we are all trying to pursue such uniquely different opportunities.
If this was not the intention, I apologize
it's like
everyone is doing all these amazing things and making all these amazing plans and scoring all these amazing internships
and i am just there
Holy mother fucking shit. This is the most amazing thing Iâve ever heard in my life. Not even kidding. Murder me now. Itâs a collaboration of ALL of these songs:

Justin Timberlake - My Love 7. Lady Gaga - Just Dance 8. Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love 9. Ne-Yo - So Sick 10. Michael Jackson - Black Or White 11. Snoop Dogg - Sexual Eruption 12. Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger 13. Taylor Swift - Fifteen 14. Taylor Swift - Fearless 15. Savage Garden - The Animal Song 16. Snoop Dogg feat. Justin Timberlake - Signs
Iâve already reblogged this in the past, but this deserves another reblog.
If youâre feeling frightened about what comes next, donât be. Embrace the uncertainty. Allow it to lead you places. Be brave as it challenges you to exercise both your heart and your mind as you create your own path towards happiness, donât waste time with regret. Spin wildly into your next action. Enjoy the present, each moment, as it comes; because youâll never get another one quite like it. And if you should ever look up and find yourself lost, simply take a breath and start over. Retrace your steps and go back to the purest place in your heart⊠where your hope lives. Youâll find your way again.
