I love the Drissen so much
IT IS MY BIRTHDAY!
(That’s how I feel, if you even care.)
Some fucking mutuals you are.
Reblogging because *I* care
What the new Halo game announcement does to a mfr.
Tintin remembers what comes after 15.
FUCKING HELL IT’S BACK FROM LAST YEAR
This literally gets reblogged every 15th of the month. It’s almost two years old. It’s beautiful.
listen up ya’ll this post is 6 years old now and you’re still reblogging it. every month. once a month, my notifications blow up for this one video, but only until the 16th. then the notes on this vid completely stop. it’s so eerily spot on and impressive how you just all collectively know what to do. if I’m not online, people irl still remind me that it’s the 15th. thank you for six surreal years of me wondering if I completely fucking lost it. here’s to the 15th
You’re hot, you should post hole more often!!
the reason "robot racism" is often a really stupid metaphor is the same reason that like. discrimination against demons or vampires or whatever doesn't work, is because there's often a pretty justified reasons humans are scared of vampires or robots or whatever, in a way that doesn't apply to real life minorities, like a fantasy author will be like "the reason vampires are discriminated against is because most of them and kill and eat people for fun and pleasure, and so humans respond by trying to kill them, isn't that so sad" and like no that's a perfectly fine reason to not trust vampires i think.
This take is inordinately idiotic because it creates reasons to hate robots, vampires, demons, etc. Which are not intrinsic to their existence and are not in all depictions of them and says that it makes complaints of bigotry stupid
When what real life bigots do to justify their bigotry is to arbitrarily attribute violence and/or other evils to the people they are bigoted against to justify their bigotry (this behaviour may sound familiar to you if you've read the entire post)
I'm not saying OP is a bigot but if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it's probably a duck and that quacking is sounding mighty familiar
I think “killing and eating humans” is actually a pretty inherent part of vampires. Like thats one of their defining traits. Its removing a massive part of vampires to have them not do that.
You think wrong however, vampires are generally known for drinking blood
Yeah. The blood of humans.
vampires hunting humans is a baked in feature, theres no removing it without also removing a massive part of what makes vampires interesting on a conceptual level.
if you lop off the unending thirst for human blood for the sake of a shoddy racism metaphor your just kinda left with a story about people discriminating against immortals. At that point why even call them vampires? Might as well replace it with any of the other hundreds of fantasy things that live for a while longer than humans.
just seems counterproductive to shave off all the interesting parts of a fantasy concept just so you dont have to write about real racism and you can treat it like discrimination is make believe.
No, not hunting humans, drinking blood, the two are not the same
Sure you can get to drinking blood by hunting humans but it's not the only way, or even the most famous way

Skywarp really said "Vop."
Stuff that actually happens in Bionicle:
Sexy snakes invent capitalism and then face severe regulation by a bunch of demonic mad scientists.
One of said mad scientists impersonated the mayor of a Frutiger Aero dystopia and put all of the citizens into The Pokéballs That Make You Smaller.
There are six fish-themed warlords with (for the most part) really on-the-nose names. They weren't always fish-themed, they just happened to be in a prison that became flooded with The Water That Makes You A Fish. Their main underling is a four-armed squid-man, who is naturally immune to The Water That Makes You A Fish.
The setting's equivalent of Hephaestus made a bunch of useful stuff, including but not limited: to the first six protagonists, the leader of the Bionicle CIA, some cool planes, and the Bionicle CIA's prison-warden robots.
One of the Magic Frisbees that are the central macguffins of the 2004 arc was stuck between the teeth of the Bionicle equivalent of The Bloop.
Some shark guys who were the antagonists of the 2006 arc got put into the Water That Makes You A Fish. They got turned into eels.
There's an entire group of heroes who were brought together to protect the mad scientist I mentioned earlier, then got turned into tiny lizard creatures by one of the sexy snakes, and they didn't get turned back until thousands of years later.
A random villager from an underwater city (which is directly next to the prison that got flooded with the Water That Makes You A Fish) was transformed by the main macguffin into said prison's jailer, who by that point had already been dead for several millenia after being shanked by the blue fish-themed warlord.
There's a substance called Black Fire, which isn't literally black fire. The CIA's warden robots are filled with (and presumably powered by) it, and can shoot it out of their giant impractical swords.
The Makuta devolution scene.
Bionicle Frankenstein's name can also refer to his private island and also a giant plant monster.
weirdo who is fun to draw
I forgot how nice this design is for a skywarp who isn't really skywarp
More TFA designs because I can’t help myself plus bluestreak doodles
More designs I’ve done
Thank you to @levityleviathan for the ideas, I love your art
wanna hear some chaotic narrative stuff surrounding how i personally go about writing a tfa adaptation of blue?
Absolutely
alright so, general thing i try to do any time i insert a character into a universe, is look at core aspects of their narrative and see how to twist those for the sake of a dynamic adaptation. For Bluestreak in TFA, I looked at how autobots dont normally use guns, and the fact that Bluestreak is associated with being a crack-shot gunner. So- there's the easy route of just going with something like an engineer (what prime did) or a merchant (dreamwave's prewar occupation) Instead however, i elected to work bluestreak into the war effort, having them as one of the people stationed on one of the omega sentinels only to be wounded in its destruction. the wound leaves bluestreak with constantly trembling hands which stole their ability to accurately shoot a firearm. So in the modern day, Bluestreak uses escrima sticks (nightwing reference) and works as a drill sergeant for one of the autobot bootcamps. I lean into the more athletic acrobat stuff in order to further nod towards nightwing. Blue could have taken over that position after Sentinel became a Prime. it creates a pretty interesting dynamic of this war vet who's still really upbeat and energetic serving as the drill instructor, and who has managed to exchange one form of combat for another. Could lean even further into that and make Bluestreak a former member of a cybertronian circus which was attacked by the decepticons in some respect, radicalizing them to the war effort.
Now to think about this for the rest of the day, I really like this
Bluestreak took over my brain
I’m not a good writer or storyteller so I’m sorry for any errors( also something is going wrong with this post while I’m writing it things keep disappearing)
Ok so I spent most of my afternoon thinking about this, the brainworm is deep. I looked at the TFa wiki for the supremes and out of them I think if he would be on one of them it would be Beta supreme, ship name Battlestar, I narrowed it down to the supremes that were at the battle of iacon, this one got destroyed by blackout. Bluestreak he makes it out of the wreckage with said injuries from a run in with blackout/or one from escaping the ship.
I don’t know much about nightwing or DC in general but I really like the weapon idea so I looked it up and sometimes it has electric shock things on the end of them and can combine into a staff and I really liked that. His hands trembling I imagine is somewhat similar to ratchet in IDW at least how my brain understands it.
So I don’t think he would be a cyber ninja but like prowl I think he had some of the training with them from a cyber ninja, or something along those lines physical therapy? Idk. After he finishes with that he goes back to Autobot commands and now a war vet he goes into training younger bots, eventually getting to a pretty high rank, replacing sentinel possibly.
So it doesn’t make much sense for him to be on earth but I i did it anyway for some reason. So when Steelhaven goes to visit Optimus and co. Bluestreak sneaks/stows away/somehow gets on the ship to go see ratchet(I guess he knows about ratchet being on the team idk), I’d imagine he had gone to all the medics he could to see what they could do for his hands it all not gaining much progress. They find him on the way to earth and just let him join, not really wanting to turn back. When they get there things go as in the show except he is there, I wouldn’t think he’d change much. Turns out ratchet couldn’t do much. He's sad but I think he would get along well with bee. Idk about Optimus. Prowl also idk I think he would find it funny that they have similar frames. Ratchet, and bulkhead I haven’t thought much about.
One more ramble, bee would find it hard to believe that this chill talkative guy is the same guy who got sentinel old job,
I’m sure this makes no sense to anyone but me and I’m fairly sure I just restated a lot of your idea but I absolutely loved thinking about this.
This guy is beta supreme and more doodles
Bluestreak shall take over all minds
I watched an IHE video on witch queen for 5 mins the other day and found it impossible to follow, unfortunately now youtube is recommending me more IHE destiny videos, I already didn't like the guy because of his brand focus on negativity and because my accursed ex liked him but now seeing him hate on every destiny expansion from taken king to witch queen is just eroding what I didn't even know was there
Bucket of axolotl?
After the minecraft update that added axolotls I looked in the creative menu and the submenu for (insert type of) axolotl in a water bucket was called "bucket of axolotl" and it was the funniest fucking shit I'd ever read
AHHHHHHHHHHHH
Destiny if Shaxx could sing on command
