I have shot countless timelapses over the last few years, but this is the first one since early 2013 that I have shot for myself and not for somebody else. Can't wait to get further out into the desert to avoid light pollution and capture more of the milky way! Me shooting 5h hyperlapses every day be like 🐼⛩

I remember this particular day from almost 5 years ago very well. At first it seemed like nothing much would happen that morning and the fog would not be able to move into the city at all from far away in the desert. But then, all of a sudden, a set of huge tsunami-like waves built up and almost violently crashed into Dubai Marina. Stay tuned for more pics of what happened next! 🌊 (at Dubai Marina)

Who would have thought that, 16 years later, we would again be sitting on this beach looking at the stars, but this time with our two beautiful kids fast asleep in the bungalow right behind us ❤ (at Ko Tao)

At peace in Paradise 🏝 My first time on Koh Tao was back in 2001 and for many years I returned almost every year and saw the changes happening. What used to be a few huts among coconut trees along "Sairee Beach" turned into a major party mile. Washed out dirt tracks were turned into paved roads and eventually more luxurious resorts started to open business. However, it's now been 10 years since my last visit and I am very glad to see that Koh Tao is basically still the same old little rock it used to be and luckily managed to keep its beauty and charme. Bays like "Ao Tanote" where we are staying (see picture) are still very remote and quiet, actually almost too quiet for my taste. I mean seriously, who closes a beach bar at 10pm... Anyway, it's perfect for us as a family and it offers amazing snirkeling. And once our good friends from Germany come visiting us next week I'm sure we'll find a way to keep the bars open past midnight. 🙌🏼 (at Kho Tao Island)
