Uh, hey! I debated over whether I would ever make an out of character post or not, but I suppose it's warranted.
I'm back! Wow, it's been, I think, a decade since I've ran abloodbat. I don't even know if any of the "original" Wizard101 blogs are still around from 2013/2014 -- I doubt most of the current bloggers even know of me!
Firstly, if you recognize me, I'm sorry I disappeared. Thankfully no one took my URL like the first time I left the fandom.
The first time I left, I left because a very popular wiz blogger who I was friends with (on my main) started going down the TERF pipeline. She became very transmisognystic and it fractured our inner friend group that housed 2 trans individuals. When I told her I didn't want to be friends anymore because of that, she accused me of gaslighting her. I don't really know where that accusation came from -- as someone who has actually experienced emotional abuse and gaslighting, it came across as very weird. I didn't ever call her out publicly for her transphobia, and I probably never will. She was a very popular wiz blogger back then and calling her out maybe would have ostracized me. It doesn't matter now, anyways, as she hasn't posted in years and I have no idea where she is.
The second time I left the fandom, which encompasses the years 2015 or 2016 to present time, I simply both lost interest in Wizard101 and began my last two years of college, which were exceptionally harder and more challenging than the first two as I was now finally getting into my major. I graduated in 2019 and began working about 6 months after graduating. I now have a mortgage and a dog I take care of (she is very mean and a handful), and a career.
I started playing the game again about a year ago, and I play on and off. I've been battling depression due to a mood disorder, and heavy anxiety, for the past year and a half, so my enthusiasm to play has gone up and down.
I am a level 78 (I think) Death wizard, currently going through Avalon. A lot has changed since I last played! I believe when I left the fandom and the game, level 90 was the level cap. It's now 180? Wild.
As for why I'm back, I felt a lot of nostalgia for the game and the fandom. I missed running abloodbat and posting my little shitposts. I don't think I'll post a lot, but a shitpost here and there will be fun whenever one comes to mind.
I don't have any proof that I'm the original abloodbat. Only two people in the fandom knew what my main blog was back before I left. The anonymity and character was part of the fun. OOC posts like this one make me cringe because I feel it takes away from the character, but I believe one is in order.
