B Tier ☆Boba: 4.1 out of 5 boba is soft and has a good chew but it kinda depends on the day plus the mini boba is too soft unfortunately (but bonus they have mini boba :D ) ☆Drinks: 4.7 out of 5 Mango Green Milk Tea Halo Halo yeahh I went 2 days in a row solely because they have a halo halo drink like no one else has that :D mango milk tea never does me wrong and sharetea has a really good one that has like a slight unique taste in terms of tartness halo halo is just taro milk tea with like every topping (basically their golden retriever but that is classic milk tea and i think like only 3 toppings instead of all of them lol) drinks are good here at 50% sweetness but aren't horribly sweet at default sweetness either ☆Atmosphere: 4.5 out of 5 standard boba shop vibes like this is a boba shop ☆Overall: 4.5 out of 5 chill place but i remember like so many years ago i heard their management sucked and it kinda sucked to work here so i hope it's better now :/ menu is pretty big and you can't really go wrong with any drink service is quick and if there's ever a line it's usually not a long wait to order but it might be longer to get a drink (not abnormal or bad at all) there's a lot of seating and the space is definitely not small

C Tier ☆Boba: 3.7 out of 5 boba has some chew but it's mostly like a sticky texture, not like smooth and chewy not horrible just not great - it was better before when i first had it years ago (i don't think the numbers have much correlation to the tier ranking i think i'm tier ranking on vibes) ☆Drink: 4.3 out of 5 Sugarcane Juice tastes like sugarcane i can't complain, but i wish it was sweeter i feel like this sugarcane juice isn't as good quality as the ones in westminster ☆Atmosphere: 4.4 out of 5 chill study/hangout spot especially since it's basically next to UCR and literally next to apartments that's like 90% UCR students there's couches and it's a larger space for a boba shop if it's hot outside this place has either weak AC or just fans so it's not super cool inside but it's better than outside ☆Overall: 4.4 out of 5 extra points because they have food especially fried tofu, and their fried tofu is like tofu fries/sticks and it's soo good i like the vibes but their menu has been scaled down a lot and their boba wasn't as good this time T_T i'm still gonna give them another chance when i'm back near UCR, but if the boba isn't good again i don't think i'd go back again :(

A Tier ☆Boba: 4.6 out of 5 boba has a nice chewiness and is soft, but after it sits in the drink for like more than 15 minutes or something the texture starts get less idea, like almost tacky or sticky idk it's not horrible it's just not as good as when you first drink it i might also be hyper-critical ☆Drink: 4.8 out of 5 Green Thai Tea deelicious one of the best milk tea options any boba shop can have pretty sweet naturally so i always get less sweet/50% ☆Atmosphere: 4.6 out of 5 7leaves, but in a cafe, so it has a cute and very studious vibe, they decorated it so nicely always has people sitting and chatting or studying ☆Overall: 4.7 out of 5 i like that it's near ecotown (thrift store) so i can walk around after giant parking lot yay since this 7leaves is a cafe they have a lot of good food options rather than just some pastries like smaller locations all 7leaves have a drive-thru, including this one, so it's a lot more convenient

A Tier ☆Boba: 4.8 out of 5 the last time i had boba at din tai fung was like over 5 years ago and it tastes the exact same and the texture is the exact same as i remember the texture is so nice, it has a really nice chewiness and it has a really great soft texture it also has a sweet flavor, or that could be from the milk tea ☆Drink: 4.8 out of 5 (black) milk tea just a good, standard milk tea on the sweeter side especially with boba ☆Atmosphere: 4.9 out of 5 i mean it's din tai fung, the aesthetic is always nice typical restaurant atmosphere, busy and loud but not anything unusual ☆Overall: 4.8 out of 5 even for being at din tai fung, this is a normal-priced boba :D ($7 drink plus like $1 for boba) i highly doubt anyone comes to din tai fung for the boba, but it's a nice added bonus to the food (like perfect boba and perfect food) service is so nice here booo you have to pay for parking since downtown disney, but other locations won't make u pay for parking so only hold that against this location - they do validate parking but u still gotta pay the baseline price u can walk around downtown disney before/after eating so another plus

A Tier ☆Boba: 4.7 out of 5 i don't know if this counts as boba they literally call it tapiochi and consider it more of a mochi the texture is fun and definitely on the softer side than qq ☆Drink: 4.9 out of 5 Uva Milk Tea all of their teas and milk teas are good i usually don't even like straight up tea but they all taste so good (no bitterness, like perfectly steeped) on the same level as Odd One Out's tea they both have some of the best tea/milk teas of any boba shop ☆Atmosphere: 4.7 out of 5 torotea has a very specific aesthetic they use for all their shops, like someone's idea of a a desert house i guess it's definitely unique boba-shop-wise and creates a very specific kinda vibe i appreciate the uniqueness ☆Overall: 4.8 out of 5 for not having any actual boba pearls i do like this place and i think it's largely because of the milk tea/drinks prices are pretty expensive with drinks being $8-9 with or without a topping usually pretty busy so always expect to wait really nice and helpful customer service they are great about recommending drinks and answering questions (esp. since most of the milk teas have uncommon names so it can be overwhelming to make a choice) minimal seating that is really just used to wait for drinks, not a place to chat with someone after receiving your drinks huge parking lot thank god

B Tier ☆Boba: 4.0 out of 5 boba is pretty soft but has almost a disintegrating quality like not in a horrible way just not in the most ideal boba texture kinda way ☆Drink: 4.5 out of 5 Coconut milk tea drinks are pretty good, the coconut milk tea is tasty :) ☆Atmosphere: 4.7 out of 5 in a theater and the only one in a theater that i've encountered :D i like movie theaters so i like the vibes, very cool u dont have to sneak boba into this theater and don't have to stab a straw through the seal (avoiding loud noises during movie trust me) ☆Overall: 4.4 out of 5 limited drink menu but still a variety of options in terms of tea and milk teas and sweet creams and stuff not usually busy but u need time to order and wait for drink to be made

B Tier ☆Boba: 3.8 out of 5 soft and has an okay chewiness has a nice flavor from boba, or maybe from the drink ☆Drink: 4.4 out of 5 mango fruit tea is good and nothing spectacular (refreshing quality tho and flavor is nice) ☆Atmosphere: 4.6 out of 5 large shop and cute seating plus nice plants/vibe i really need to remember to take pictures of the shop ☆Overall: 4.4 out of 5 pricing is typical menu is pretty typical but they do have more uncommon boba drinks like sugarcane and the egg coffee - more vietnamese drinks inspired menu large snack menu but all meat so no vegetarian options

B Tier ☆Boba: 3.9 out of 5 Boba isn't as soft as I remember, this place used to be A tier but the boba was not as ideal a texture as before Not much of a qq texture anymore ☆Drink: 4.4 out of 5 Rose milk tea is good! Their drinks seem to often have stuff blended in like in espresso smoothie there's coffee bean bits and the rose milk tea has bits of dried edible roses ☆Atmosphere: 4.8 out of 5 Really nicely decorated and spacious shop Lots of seating available and has a cute korean cafe kind of vibe like in vlogs Cool space and vibe is definitely a plus really great for hangouts Underground - entrance on sideways like a typical shop and it's a wide space that has different levels for seating and leading to the counter I should have taken pictures, I forgot :P ☆Overall: 4.5 out of 5 Really good drinks Unique drinks Huuge menu Parking sucks since less space in the city and parking needs to be validated plus time limit for parking validation - Right across from the d line train station though

A Tier ☆Boba: 4.8 out of 5 boba has a nice texture, both soft and chewy like a pretty ideal qq texture ☆Drink: 4.8 out of 5 Mango Mochi Milk delicious and great mango flavor since it's a mango puree rather than syrup or powder or other good sweetness while still having a fresh taste i substituted the whipped cream for a soybean mousse and it was so much better for it (plus substitution was an option with no extra charge) ☆Atmosphere: 4.5 out of 5 chill, spacious vibe with some seating and plenty of seating outside with it being in a shopping area kind of cat-themed and trendy/modern boba place themed ☆Overall: 4.7 out of 5 they have a mochi topping so i'm happy about that and often come back for that reason - their mochi topping has bits of rice which is not my preference but it's not horrible and the mochi topping is also pretty sweet and not like a flavorless blob so another bonus for that 2 kiosks make for fast ordering plus they have a screen to show orders in the process and orders that are ready to be picked up they have a good system down that makes ordering and waiting quick and easy

A tier ☆boba: 4.7 out of 5 nice chew and softness, could have a slightly better qq texture but it's not bad, more qq would just make it perfect ☆drink: 4.8 out of 5 Jasmine green tea + mango fruit juice (you customize your drinks there are no set drinks) i love this drink so much and crave it all the time it seems like it's literally just the mango concentrate/mango nectar juice and jasmine green tea, but their teas are good and they have the combination down it's good even at half sweet, i don't think it needs default sweetness but it wouldn't be bad at that level of sweetness, just definitely more sweet than i want it, especially when i get it with topping(s) ☆atmosphere: 4.6 out of 5 small shop in a sometimes busy plaza it's nice they have containers that show all their teas (i need to go back to get pictures of the shop it does have a nice aesthetic) has a clean, sleek, yet kinda authentic small tea shop feel ☆overall: 4.7 out of 5 nice service not always the most quick service depending on rush and no kiosks, but the wait is rarely very long and you can watch the whole process of the drink making as it happens right in front of you over the counter unique ordering system ( not completely unique, just one of the rarer ordering system) -> choose tea base then milk or other juice addon to either make it a milk tea or fruit tea (no fruit milk tea option, unless you make it into a fruit tea and add the creamuccino topping) since it's in a plaza there's a lot to do around and it's great to get this boba before or after going to the theater here (i haven't trie to sneak it in during a movie, but it's gonna happen one day)

A tier ☆boba: 4.7 out of 5 has a gummy candy texture in a good way like a life saver or peelerz texture so, nice chew and good softness :D give good amount of boba ☆drink: 4.8 out of 5 princess lychee = lychee blended with cheesefoam probably leave drinks at recommended sweetness/100% blended drinks melt pretty quickly and become delicious juice (not watery, melted drink has flavor like juice but probably depends on sweetness chosen) ☆atmosphere: 4.5 out of 5 typical boba place decent amount of seating decent foot traffic and some people sitting and chatting - varies not consistently too busy or too quiet, consistently nice amount of people ☆overall: 4.7 out of 5 quick service 2 kiosks make things quicker large enough menu and good drinks plus always reliable and consistent and good quality some unique-ish drinks/spin on common flavors (e.g. blended drinks like princess lychee and thai tea blended)

B tier ☆boba: 4.1 out of 5 boba is more on the firm side than chewy/soft, but still has pleasant enough chewiness no lack of flavor at least ☆drink 1: 4.9 out of 5 watermelon milk = watermelon juice + milk (soy milk extra $.25) sooo good, i love their watermelon green tea and this watermelon milk one is especially good - they have good watermelon juice got it at 75% and it's like perfect sweetness still has some sweetness but not overly sweet ☆drink 2: 4.7 out of 5 watermelon green tea = watermelon juice + green tea same notes as above, this one just isn't as good to me as the watermelon juice with milk, but it is still really good and i crave watermelon juice with tea all the time (i love any fruit juice with green tea) ☆atmosphere: 4.5 out of 5 middle-of-the-road, nice boba shop cute art on walls of bears spacious and often not too crowded, so can be good to chill/study ☆overall: 4.6 out of 5 nice vibes and good drinks boba isn't amazing, but i would/do come back

A Tier ☆Boba: 4.9 out of 5 cool that they have mochi-like boba with their tea flavored silk boba toppings higher score since mochi-like boba (silk boba) that has really great qq texture boba itself has really good texture just not as much flavor (not a bad thing, tea flavor of drink is most prominent) ☆Drinks: 5 out of 5 Everday ODDinary Boba (summer night tea) Golden Buddha Silk Boba their teas are so good and have really good flavor plus their menu lists flavor components and notes ☆Atmosphere: 4.4 out of 5 small shop since LA in koreatown nice plaza it's located in middle of LA so city atmosphere, sounds, and vibes ☆Overall: 4.8 out of 5 kiosk ordering server doesn't really interact busy making drinks screen that shows orders in progress and ready pretty quick service even when busy/less workers

A Tier ☆Boba: 4.7 out of 5 one of the OG brown sugar bobas around here boba is like pretty close to perfect qq texture, just on the smaller side ☆Drink: 4.8 out of 5 ube brown sugar creme brulee boba milk (long names lmaoo) and i got it with oatmilk sweet by default, but not sickly sweet, and server told me the sweetness came from the boba so any adjustment would affect the amount of boba really good drink and one of the best creme brulee topping (they were like the OG of it or one of) ube flavor is really good which is a plus, ube flavored drinks/foods vary a lot for some reason, but the Alley is one of the ones that do it well ☆Atmosphere: 4.3 out of 5 empty and spacious things are being stored near the front of the store now the seats are in the back and that area looks nice/standard trendier boba shop seating the nicest looking area is honestly the counter and the space behind that is kinda nice with the plants ☆Overall: 4.5 out of 5 service is quick and helpful menu is bigger now but not really varied so the drinks are more so the same base and just different toppings (i.e. not a lot of different flavored fruit teas, milk teas, plain teas, blended drinks, etc) atmosphere/vibe isn't bad it just feel more vacant now and like they don't expect people to stay since so many things are being stored in the front drinks are more on the expensive side (drinks are around 7.95, basically $8, by default, but the drinks often come with toppings already || oatmilk/soymilk is extra $.50) kiosk ordering

A Tier ☆Boba: 4.8 out of 5 on the smaller side but good qq texture plus they have qq noodles (only ones i know of) - also has good qq texture ☆Drink: 4.4 out of 5 Mango Fresh Milk with oatmilk substitute mango flavor is good but more on the subtle side good at 50% sweet (sweeter wouldn't be bad and less sweet than 50% wouldn't be too bad either) ☆Atmosphere: 4.2 out of 5 nice vibe just kinda empty -- feels like a big emphasis on ordering and taking drinks to go ☆Overall: 4.6 out of 5 nice shop, quick service 2 kiosks make ordering very conveniant and quick perfect if you want drinks quickly and at a good quality pricing is more on the expensive side once you start adding and customizing but otherwise more typical pricing (like 6.75 almost $7) (i paid 9.25 almost $10 for a mango fruit tea that had oat milk (+$1) and 2 toppings (almost a dollar each))
