I'm in Eastland, TX for work, and there is mud EVERYWHERE. On the curbs, in the lobby, even my hotel room has a view of 2 mud pits. Scenes like this are everywhere.

I'm in Fort Worth, on day...you know what, it's been so long I don't remember...of working. I worked all Easter weekend, worked my ass off (12-14 hour days) the entire week, and was at a work conference the weekend before that. I'm tired. I'm running on fumes. I tried to make plans to hang out with a buddy of mine tonight, but just couldn't do it. I was too busy. And it's 11pm and I'm still working. I've been working since 8am and I never even stopped and had lunch or dinner. Just picked up leftovers from our communal work room.

If someone had told me how much work sucks when I was a kid, I probably wouldn't have ever grown up.

July 5th

I have no idea why I am at work today. No one else in the building is here...it's like a ghost town in the parking garage. Not only that, but we don't have anything to do right now...I haven't done any real "work" in a week. Everyone's pissed that we're not out there enjoying the nice weather.

Yesterday, I was wearing shorts. It came as a shock to me when I left The Girlfriend’s apartment this morning, in my shorts & flip flops. Sometimes, I really hate Texas weather. However, if this is any indication that this summer won't be as the last one, I'm alright with that. Wearing my hoodie for one more day before putting it to sleep in my closet for 9 months is okay with me

At a benefit concert in support of the West fertilizer plant explosion, a cause that's close to my heart. Never been to a concert festival like this by myself...it's been an odd but not horrible experience.
