Was it odd for a gentleman like Jack to have found a second home in a place like the local library ?? Maybe, but his flat had gotten much too stuffy the past few days, and he wanted a little bit of entertainment. In Halloweentown, books were the main source of fun, along with planning for the holiday. But since Halloween had all ready past, Sally was busy with her new friends and there was no one else from his home he could accompany, and he was left with little to do. But he was a big boy, he could figure out something to do on his own.
Running his fingers along the books, he addressed the person who he had stopped next to, a soft smile playing on his lips. “ You know, ” he said in a hushed tone, pulling out a random book, spine thick and smelling of dust and must. “ I’ve heard this library’s haunted. ” Yes, he had heard about the library being haunted, but he had only told the person because he wanted to try and make conversation, make more friends. “ Isn’t that something ?? We might be able to see a ghost friend this afternoon. ”
it had been ages since lip had even stepped into a libary. mostly he had been forced, as reading or studying was a higher education that he never perceived as something that made him. after dropping out of college, lip only feared winding up like frank, and it was his biggest fear, ( although he never would admit it. ) his fingers ran against the books themselves, remember titles that his eyes glanced. he had read many, but the times had changed, and lip was so different. “ghosts really?’’ he cocked his brow, a smirk formed on his face, knowing that the man had to be simply crazy for thinking of such things. “i know that it’s not really something, because honestly, you think this place is haunted?’’ lip shook his head, as he wanted to proceed away from the man, but he seemed far too interesting to just simply let it pass.
