my bestfriend who I used to talk to for hrs a day, everyday( even when she was at work) for several years, Ghosted me when she got with her new boyfriend. Her explanation was that me and her boyfriend are similar and that hes antisocial but gets jealous (all her boyfriends were jealous of how close we were) so she stepped back she occasionally called herself a bad bestfriend. She moved in w him as I moved out of our home state 2 years ago. Ive talked to her maybe 6 times in the last 2 years. Last month she texted me without any prior convo in months to let me know that she was getting married to the guy who I have had 1 conversation with. I said congratulations (very confused), she then seriously but in joking way asked me to give her money for her wedding fund then sent the link? It was so ?.. Eye opening that this friendship has not served any function to me for some time but also cemented in me that straight relationships/ friendships are not something for me to value or take seriously in my adulthood til the end of my time. I would never give that bitch a dime after any of that especially during the current climate. Let alone give her money that would also go to the man that she has switched me out for and who has never spoken with me even knowing i was her oldest and closest friend at the time they met, became friends and began dating. I need something and someone I haven’t met yet and I’m so bored of anticipating their arrival.
