When someone dies, they either go to heaven or get a debt depending on how good or bad they were. When they get a debt, they have to work as a sandman (or sandwoman?) until they have paid it off. Some sandmen have a life sentence.
-☼♦︎☽ ?What do sandmen do in my universe? ☾♦︎☼-
They help turn nightmares into good dreams. Each nightmare they convert gets them closer to their end goal of paying off their debt! You may think this is a cool job (like most of my friends) and think you want to have it. You don’t. Just think; would you really want to watch people’s trauma in dream form every single day?
That’s what sandmen have to put up with.
