me! Hello! My name is Briar and thatâs all you really need to know about me, lol! I like writing, character studies, and Cult of the Lamb! I try my hardest to remain consistent and will almost always post at least once a day, but sometimes I canât wait and post something extra.
What this blog is:
This blog is exclusively meant for darker writing prompts/discussions. COTL is a game with an inherently dark premise, but an incredibly light toneâ this blog is designed to make people think about the darker side of my favorite game!
What this blog isnât:
This is not meant to excuse, glorify, or justify any topics discussed. There will be violence and torture, both mental and physical. There is never any excuse for these things, and I will never write any.
DNIs:
Bigots
Racheal who I met in Philadelphia in February of 1923. You stole my heart, Racheal, and I will never forgive you.
Pedophiles
Sooo okay I just want to make sure: does you count ships between bishops as dark content or no? I mean, allowed dark content, huh! I genuinely asking because your DNI doesn't state it and you didn't forbid it when asked about ships, but maybe you're assuming it as something obvious. Want to know for sure what boundaries are and what to expect đ
Btw, no matter the answer seeing someone talking about dark topics which are plenty in canon but usually are not discussed is still very pleasant and refreshing, keep going, you're awesome, really. <3
i mean theyre definitely fâed up if thats ur question??
The seasons DO NOT CHANGE in COTL.
There is NO Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter.
It DOES NOT get colder or warmer over time.
So much has been LOST with the purging of the pantheon and I haven't seen ANYONE talking about it.
Think of how many cultures and species were eradicated along with the deaths and/or disappearances of their patron deities!
This is prime writing material, come on!!!
You know the whole au idea where the lamb is just old? What if it's was the opposite and the lamb is a child having to go through these things? Maby narinder trains them before reviving to make sure they are fit for it, and if so how would that affect them? Would rhey bond even more with narinder and the twins? Or maby come to despises them? (Know what I might end up making this)
I did NOT know abt the Old!Lamb AU, acc. But when I first played the game and heard âlambâ i TOTALLY assumed they were js a baby lol
n then they got married n i thought âoh so they aint a bbâ
BUT IF ANYONE CAN MAKE IT GREAT, IT WOULD BE U. UR SO GREAT MAN ILY/p
In Sheep culture (or whatever was left of it by the time the Lamb was born,) sheering was a sacred thing. Until an individual became of age, their parents or guardians would sheer them. Then, when they reached adulthood they could choose whether or not to do it themself. When they were wed, theyâd traditionally be sheered by their spouse. Then, with the wool, they would make gifts for their loved ones.
When the Lamb was captured, they were sheered by total strangers. They were held down, buzzed, nicked to hell and back by hands who didnât know what they were doing, and then their wool was made into clothes for the people who hated them, who wanted them dead.
With people usually sticking to a lighter narrative within their ramblings of Cult of the Lamb it's quite nice to find someone thinking of all the darker aspects of the game, thank you.
awwwww thank you stranger <33
I walked in this fandom, thought âwhats this whereâs my furnitureâ and then moved in my evil corner cabinet of despair

I saw this fanfic where the lamb would regress back into a child physically and mental sometimes and I thought everyone should use this idea (They reason they did this in the first place was to forget their truma for a bit)
omg omg peak idea dude
idk whats with u but Iâve never seen u have a bad idea, like everything u have to say is top-notch
As someone who regresses/knows a lot of people who do, itâs REALLY common to regress back to ages you had been traumatized atâŠ. And, you know, the Lambâs been traumatized at ALL of them lol
Ok so first thing first. The blood of the God becomes ichor, it does this by shedding most of the stuff in the blood. Then it is imbued with the crowns power (this is very painful) depending on the God difference parts of the brain are cut from the rest killing it off. The other parts of the brain grow in size. Different organs can just get pushed out of their bodies. The organs are pushed out depending on the God themselves, their abilities and the gods emotions. Emotions can be shed and this will force it to take a new form. The body's bones will stretch, bend and contort to become taller and more exterme
dont EEEEEVEN with meeee rn i love the Goat. Play as them on my friendâs Switch.
Anyways
GROSS ALERT
The Goat was dead. It was really, really, really dead. When the Lamb got it, its guts n ribs n allat were visible. The Lamb swears on Their own grave that it was in full on decomp, at least a little. But the Goat was still⊠walking. If it didnât have to use both hands to keep itself together, it probably wouldâve been fighting, too. The only thing keeping that goat together was its Crown.
Yes! They had a tag put in their right ear and an identification tattooed on their right thigh. When they were brought back as a vessel, their first order of business was tearing the tag straight out. Unfortunately, their body always comes back how it was before deathâ so theyâve still got the hole from the tag and the tattoo. Theyâre trying to work out a way to fix it, though.
Can they have children? Do they want children?
The Lamb wants children terriblyâ they always have. Seeing their mama and pops take such good care of them and their siblings, even given the situation, was inspiring. They often found themself taking in orphans pre-death, but they never lasted long. They just⊠didnât feel like it would be right to bring a life into the world they were living in. It never seemed possible until Their cult was built up and all the Bishops were slain.
Of course, by then it hardly mattered. The Crown spends a lot of energy keeping a dead thing movingâ it wasnât as simple as resurrection, the Crown needs to keep them alive no matter what, needs to keep them from aging. To make the process easier, any of their bodily functions the Crown deemed âunnecessaryâ were thrown out. This includes Their ability to have children.
TL;DR: They want kids, They canât have any.Â
Do they use substances?
Gods above, yes. They drink Themself to sleep at night and then take menticide to wake up. The menticide ritual, however, is another story. Itâs sinful, They explain, to drink just to get drunk, to do menticide just to get high. When They do it, itâs okay. When others do it, itâs sinful.
NARINDER
Is he based on any specific type of cat?
Yes He is an Egyptian Mau!!Â
Are Amy and Baal his real children?
No. Narinder kept Himself far detached from His worshippers and further still from His siblingsâ people. He had thought, momentarily, that they wereâ He means, if your horrible sibling comes into your prison and hands you infants, murming about taking âresponsibilityâ for âlife youâve created,â you would PROBABLY make some wild jumpsâ especially when you were never exactlyâŠÂ strictly opposed to substance use. And. Blacking out on them. But no, the Twins arenât His biological children and He doesnât even really feel attached to themâ not even after all the decades spent together, He swears, you cannot use them against Him donât even try please.
Does he care that an entire race of people and their culture were wiped out because of him?
He does. It enrages Him, the idea that His siblings would ever even think to presume His will. He is Death incarnate, He is the only Bishop who knows when somebody is due to die, how dare They send people to His realm?! They lock Him away, then send His ordained people to Him not in reverence as they were intended, not in ritual, but in senseless violence?! He canât stand it. He canât get over the fact that His rotten siblings took it upon Themselves to wield His domain after fearing it so.
AYM AND BAAL âÂ
Do they get zoomies?
Yeah they bounce off walls. Baal has this habit of getting zoomies then tuckering himself out on them. He likes to climb, too, so he can often be found on the temple roof asleep.
How did Aym get his scar?
Aym and Baal were training one day when Baalâs blade went too far and Aymâs dodge wasnât far enough. Aym bled and bled and bled. There was a second there when the robes Narinder had packed on his eye werenât soaking the blood up, when Aym had stopped crying but had also stopped moving, where Narinder was genuinely afraid in a way he hadnât been in a while. He thought that Aym was going to die, that He would only have one kit guard beside Him. Aym pulled through, of courseâ the blood loss killed him, but that doesnât mean anything in the Land of the Dead.Â
Narinder felt something odd, watching Baal hold the cloths over Aymâs eye, hearing him try and soothe his screeching brother. He thought of His own brothers and wondered if Kallamar had done the same with Leshy. With Heket. Withâ
Are they bitey?Â
Yes, the twins both have bite marks on themselves from their brother. Narinder used to have little chips from their teeth on His bone-arms. Often, after the twins went to sleep, He would bring the bone close as possible to the other and run His fingers over the marks, feeling the proof that somebody cared for him.Â
Between when He is defeated and when the twins are brought back, He almost⊠misses seeing them. On His worst days, He ponders tearing Himself open just to see if theyâre still there.Â
