Did she really think that she could get anywhere by acting like this? Perhaps she was a strong girl, but that was all there was to her. He couldn’t see any intelligence, otherwise she would have realised sooner that he wasn’t the person she was familiar with.
All in all, he was curious, however. Calling that alternate of his Black; Touya didn’t want to risk anything by spilling what he was aware of, he would much rather hear it from the brunette herself if she had any connection to the assassin he knew. It sure would be a funny coincidence, though. Meeting that cursed rebel leader of all people, the knight was more than growing amused the longer this encounter lasted.
But unlike that wretched person, he remained calm and composed, watching her with apparent indifference for a moment before he smiled softly Desu, while the Yamask hovered close to his side, seemingly scared of her own kin. Silly Desu, when would she learn that no one was going to hurt her? Perhaps he would hurt Touko, yes, but never would he let Desu get hurt. She was his friend and something akin to close family; her life held so much more worth than that of some wench.
Besides, if she really was Black’s Touko, he shouldn’t kill her anyway. His Lord had specified that he shouldn’t mess with other universes.
"It’s alright, Desu. No one will attack for the time being," he reassured his Pokémon, only to earn a relieved little cry from the intimidated ghost. While Desu didn’t like battling, Touya knew that he could rely on her if this wench decided to take the first step. Admittedly, it put him at a defensive stance, but she didn’t know that he still had some ace up his sleeve, so it didn’t matter.
The knight rolled his eyes.
"Apparently it’s only used by people with a greater intellect than yours. Having a wide vocabulary never hurt, you know?" he shot back with such mocked friendliness that anyone would have shivered. Absentmindedly, he stuffed a hand in the pocket of his jacket and shrugged.
"Isn’t that obvious? I want to know who you’ve nearly mistaken me for… What was he called, Black? Why does he want to kill you?" Furrowing his brows in seemingly genuine interest, he relaxed his posture the tiniest bit. "I admit that I was messing with you for fun, but you did get me confused with what you said."
Now that he had actually shown some honesty on his behalf and made it clear that he wasn’t out to start a fight with any of the Pokémon involved, he was wondering if she would take the next step and give in to his questions. Of course he could have just forced her, but…
Better be safe than sorry, right? He didn’t want to accidentally kill her.
Hilda kind of rolled her eyes a bit as the other tried to insult her intelligence. Like she hadn't heard such insults before, though now could tell the other wasn't her Black at all. As he wasn't exactly the best of these kind of banter and more more trying to get the job done.
"Well if that's all you want, then why didn't you say say so?" Hilda questioned, not at all having any issues with telling the other what he wanted. Yes she wanted to harm the other, she was pissed at how he had tried to play her. Though was wondering why the other was so curious about this.
"Though why ask me when you could go find the guy yourself and ask him? Then again considering he's kind of brain washed and has no idea who he is..." The rebel leader trailed off, reaching out to gently stroked her own Yamask head. While her Liligant was settled at her side still cautious about this young man. At the very least now that he was being honest she felt some relief in this. So why not tell him at least a little.
"Well I help pokemon and people that simply want to live with pokemon. And I possess pokemon, so why not just kill me even if most of my pokemon aren't in pokeball and follow me willingly? It's simply illegal to own in any shape or form and helping people that seek to own pokemon is also punishable by death."
This wasn't a lie, as it was illegal to own pokemon and death was usually punishment. Also she didn't really didn't think it would be wise to tell the other she was a rebel leader. Just wasn't the whole thing unless he prodded her on why a top assassin after her. Now that would be a bit more specific question she can't avoid.
"Any reason why you're so curious? And was that all you really wanted to know."
