It's was June 3rd 2014, I drove @eleanorsiegfried to her chemotherapy treatment at #sloankettering She usually had an earlier appointment but due to a mistake she had to accept a 3:30 time slot. Once we got a seat in the waiting room the lab called up to the floor and said her sample was clotted. So she went all the way back to the lobby and redid her blood test. Right as she was walking back into the waiting room her name was called... "Eleanor". It was a unfamiliar nurse and a unfamiliar room, but not a different building. We were not there long, about 30 minutes but it took an hour longer to get home since we left at 4pm, the traffic was terrible. The drugs had horrible side effects on her body. When I pulled up to the house and before I could put the car in park, she was out the door, inside her house waving goodbye and said, "Thank You, I've got a date with the bathroom now, go enjoy the rest of your day. Love you bunches" After a day that seemed like everything went wrong... she did not complain once. #Bravery #woman #breastcancer #womancrushwednesday
