I really wanna say the witches since I'm a big fan of Madeleine and Berta and I really wanna know more about them but I have to say Helem. she's evil for the sake of her own entertainment and there's no sob backstory to justify her. I love to hate her and I think she's a great character

to be fair I don't believe the ladies of midnight are villains, they're a faction like Rummir or Torivia

fair, besides almost killing the king and aiding in what Elstri saw in the prophecy, I don't think they have anything that gives them villain status, but we'll have to see

and if we want to take it further, I don't think there're any "proper" villains in Centuria. Vulja and the coven fought the king, but we don't know the reason. He was a big bastard 400 years ago according to Arkos.

What we see in Elstri's prophecy is them following Diana, but still we don't know the context of the fight, and powerful gifts can alter fate.

Right now the only proper "villain" we have is Lalawag, who wants to bring about the final century, whatever that even means

Torivia would be unstoppable if Helem was sent to the border with Lalawag. If the third seat recognised the corpses of her fallen comrades as "non-living things" she could keep multiplying them. Then with enough mud the grave robber could deliver an army of zombie soldiers all under the Margrave's control. Add Ceodric into the mix (we're told his gift is a perfect match for the mud dolls) and Rummir would be done for in a couple of months, if we don't factor in Lalawag's mortal enemy.
