Hi dude! I wanted to ask if I may include your badge guides in a big badge tutorial for the Animal Crossing Amino? It'd be extremely appreciated! I would link your tumblr for credit. Thanks in advance!
Yeah no problem. Can you link me to your site?

I always have to start the New Years with this picture.

Hosting Others For Turnip Selling
After seeing the push for players to advertise good turnip sale prices with the #turnipspike tag, I just wanted to share some tips on how you can go about accommodating others in your town for turnip selling.
Turnip Sale Prices
Re-Tail will have two turnip prices each day: AM and PM. The price changes at 12pm.
If your good turnip price is in the AM, the time range to sell will be 9am-12pm, or with Early Bird, 6am-12pm.
If your good turnip price is in the PM, the time range to sell will be 12pm-11pm, or with Night Owl, 12pm-2am.
If you’re posting on Tumblr it’s a good idea to include the time, date, and time zone in your message, and perhaps a screenshot of Reese stating the selling price.
Stating Your Town Rules
Hopefully everyone can use common sense and respect each other, but it doesn’t hurt to state some rules you want to be followed in your town. (e.g. no running, no taking flowers, you can take fruits, etc.)
You can mention furniture or other items you’re looking for in case anyone is kind enough to offer them to you when they come over.
Let people know how long you’re willing to stick around to entertain guests.
Inviting Others and Waitlists
Both you and the visitor need to add each others’ 3DS Friend Codes. The Friend Code limit is 100.
Going to the main menu to open the Friend List won’t shut down Animal Crossing (you can Resume).
Add friend codes in sets of 3 at a time. You can only have up to 3 visitors in your town at a time. It’s easier for you to control who gets to enter your town and in which order if you add 3 at a time. If you add everybody who asks you all at once, they will be forced to rush to enter your town. When players try to connect at the same time it can end up causing error codes or disconnections, and you won’t know which player is which since they could enter out of order.
If a lot of people want to visit, it’ll be much more organized for both you and the visitors if you post the order in which you will be inviting others for everyone to see. (e.g. Group 1, Group 2, Group 3, etc.).
Leaving “Tips”
“Tipping” is when players give you some of their profits as thanks for hosting and letting them sell. This is just by dropping bags of Bells or other items for you (the host) to pick up.
It’s usually up to the visitor to decide how much to tip. Personally I feel it’s customary for visitors to tip at least 10% of their profits.
If you have any preferences on how you want visitors to tip, you should let them know as part of your town rules. (Example: “tips not required but appreciated”)
Train Station Gates
You open your gates by talking to Porter in the Train Station and asking to invite faraway guests. This uses your wireless internet connection.
While your gates are open you cannot go to the main menu to add Friend Codes. This is another reason why it’s easier to add Friend Codes in sets of 3: after the 3 visitors are done you can close your gate and then add the next 3 before re-opening the gates.
You can talk to Porter again to close your gates at any time even when visitors are already over. This prevents new people from entering until you re-open your gates, which is good if you only want 1 or 2 people at a time in your town.
Saving the Game
Unfortunately, players with poor wireless internet connection may disconnect and cause everyone else in the town to restart as well. This reverts back to the last time saved, which is usually when someone last arrived in town.
It’s a good idea to save occasionally when players are making trips back and forth from Re-Tail. By pressing Start and choosing to Save, it saves the game for everyone in town.
Advanced: Time Traveling
For the dedicated host: if you have a really good price or you’re just running out of time, it’s possible to time travel to earlier in the day so that you increase the time until Re-Tail closes and allow more people to visit.
If you have the AM price, you can time travel back to just after 9am (or 6am with Early Bird) and the price should still be the same. However, once your game time reaches 12pm the price will change and it’ll be lost.
Similarly for the PM price, you can time travel back to just after 12pm.
A quick note to make sure you’ve sold your own turnips already (if you had any) since time traveling backwards will rot all your turnips.
Update: I’ve finally tested this personally and it works as long as you’re careful not to cross times when the price can change.
I hope this helps some people, and let me know of any corrections!
K.K. Slider Diehard Badge
Requirements
Bronze: see K.K. Slider live 20 times
Silver: see K.K. Slider live 50 times
Gold: see K.K. Slider live 100 times
Difficulty: Easy
K.K. Slider appears at Club LOL every Saturday night after 8pm. Listening to one of his songs counts once towards this badge, but fear not you don’t have to wait 100 Saturday nights to get gold. After listening to KK ask him for another song - while you won’t get a copy of this to take home it does count to the total for the badge. Just keep asking for another song to quickly (well, slowly) rack up the required numbers. It will probably still take a few Saturdays to get gold but at least you don’t need to wait two years, or time travel a bunch.
As with other many other badges there’s no easy way to see how many times you've listened to him already so I recommend keeping track on your phone or using the 3DS’s built in game notes.
In memoriam of Satoru Iwata, one of the great minds of nintendo. You will be missed…
You helped creating awesome childhood memories and so much more… Thank you…
Are you going to be updating this badge series? So that there's more guides :)
Yes but I'm being very lazy at the mo. I've got a couple that are almost finished that I'll publish v. soon. Thanks for asking :)
YOU DONT UNDERSTAND HOW LONG IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS
I don't know if you could use this information, but I discovered via my second character that planting trees and bushes in the island count towards the gardening badge! It even works on Club Tortimer so long as it's saved, of course.
Thanks for the info!

If I streetpassed the same person 3 times would that add 3 towards the street pass badge or just 1 because it is the same person?
As long as you load and save your game after each streetpass (so the green light against ACNL on your home menu disappears) then each Streetpass will count.

Omg searched so hard for this
Yes you can get the gold garden badge by planting perfect fruit trees. That's the only thing I planted in my town because it's a harvest town only. Player received her golden badge fast.
Excellent thanks. I've corrected the guide.
You have to use saplings bought from the store? I got the gold gardening badge by planting fruit trees
Anyone able to confirm this? Doesn't match my own personal experience but I happy to be wrong (and will correct the guide)
