I do think Cy has flaws. He does not have to be perfect. He has done things that, if he were a real person, would probably give some people pause. People should be allowed to criticize Cy (or any character) when they do exhibit said flaws. It makes them human. Cyrus’ loyalties, and his reasons behind these loyalties, can be very questionable. It’s a flaw, yes. But, that’s okay! It doesn’t make him a bad character. It makes him normal and human. He’s not the only one with flaws. Andi is painfully one-track minded and immature. Buffy is brash and secretive. Amber is manipulative and mean. Jonah does not often think about the feelings of others. TJ has been rude and forceful. Walker is pretty tactless. This is all normal because they’re kids. The positive aspects of these characters (Andi’s keen understanding and creativity, Buffy’s wit and kindness, Amber’s determination to make up for past wrongs, Jonah’s sunshine personality, TJ’s softness around Cyrus, Walker’s charisma, and Cyrus’ maturity) outshine those flaws. As long as you don’t demonize them (which is usually done with Andi and sometimes even Buffy), critiquing should be fine.

For anyone who doesn’t like this show anymore because Jyrus died, can you please stop watching the show? At first I agreed that quitting a show over a ship is silly, but now, there are a couple of you that post nothing but how sad and done you are, or how much you hate the show now and it’s killing you, or that you’re so tired of it. No one’s forcing you to watch the show. No one can put a gun to your head and tell you to keep watching. If it’s causing you this much pain, please stop watching. It’s not fair to the people who DO like this show and have to see constant complaining in the tag. Or at least tag it “andi mack critical” so some of us can blacklist. Thank you!

lets talk about this boy, no not that boy the one on the right. Jonah Beck. I’ve seen some theories about his panic attack, what set it off, what he’s stressed out etc, but none fit my read of what’s going on so, here’s what I think is up with Jonah Hercules Beck.

So a lot of people have thrown around that Andi’s break up set off Jonah’s panic attack. That seems pretty likely we see her dump him and next time we see him he’s freaking out. So why? some people say that Jonah feels like he can’t be alone for whatever reason, other have said that make being dumped forced him to face that he’s got feelings for Cyrus. My take….. 

If you look at what Jonah is asking Andi for when he’s saying he doesn’t like labels, it sounds like a friendship. Andi tells him she’ll see him at the spoon and he reflexively calls it “a date” but again they hung out but never did couples stuff. That’s because I think all of Jonah’s friendships, to this point have been transactional, people are “friends” with him because they want something. Amber only hung out with him because he was her “boyfriend” Jonah revealed that he doesn’t have a lot of friends. Lots of people he knows but not really any friends before Andi, Buffy, and Cyrus. 

When Jonah and Amber broke up, Amber’s friends stopped being his friends. So if Jonah sees friendships in terms of what he can give to people to make them like him, then he sees the break up as the end of the friendship because Andi no longer wants the one thing he can give her, and as a result the end of his friendship with Buffy and Cyrus. It’s the same cycle we saw with Amber were Jonah tried so hard for approval because, Amber was his only “friend” and the person that gave him a social life, he “paid her” for that “friendship” with his “love” in the form of gifts and boyfriend stuff. While Andi isn’t his only friend now, she is also the door into the social life and friendships he has now. While clearly he didn’t want to pay for her friendship the same way he also doesn’t know how that works without the payment. When she said she didn’t want it any more….. 

just my reading/fan idea on what’s up with Jonah
