I finally watched Project Hail Mary last week and have been figuring out how to draw Rocky. However half way through my studies my hand slipped and I just. Made an Eridian oc instead, oops

Our cat Scurvy (and Weevil but I think mainly Scurvy) (the most psychologically complex creature alive) (was human in a past life, remembers that, has extra scorn towards all others because of it) (prefers being a cat? or perhaps just hates it less than being a human?) (spiteful creature) (drools when she purrs) prefers to drink her water out of human cups so we have just a glass of water on the floor of our bathroom for her. But because it's like a dinner cup for humans, it is tall and narrow and not really meant for small creatures with little tongues to drink out of, it tends to deplete pretty quickly to a level that is halfway full for humans and impossible to access for cats. So we have to refill it fairly frequently. Unfortunately I am bad at noticing things like if the water is low, and I'm also bad at remembering to check. Also our upstairs bathroom where the cup is has a cowgirl aesthetic, which is relevant. I was lamenting all of this to my friend n housemate Wulf (@nollimet ) one day and they doodled up this:

This post was inspired by the fact that repeat exposure (seeing it every time I piss) I've means unfortunately become inured to the sight of it, which means it is no longer a good reminder. To remedy this, I begged Wulf for a new version. I made the post above while they worked on it. About 30 mins later, they toss me this:

Based off of an emperor goose, I wanted to capture the feeling I get when I look at such beautiful creatures that I know would not hesitate to kick my ass given the chance.
