@acecharacters
Nice.
every character i like is asexual i’m so sorry i don’t make the rules
Hey so I'm kinda of a baby ace, is there like...a glossary of terms? Like greysexual and all that?
http://www.asexualityarchive.com/glossary/ Hopefully this helps!
Autistic asexual people exist and are incredibly important
Autistic aromantic people exist and are also incredibly important
Good addition
autistic aroace people exist and are also also incredibly important!
GREAT ADDITION
Just wanted to make a post to apologise for the lack of activity on this blog! Both mods are super swamped with school, work, and just general irl stuff that’s been keeping us both away from this blog. Hopefully, we’ll be able to refill the queue soon (our fall break is coming up, so we should be marginally more free then!)
Thanks everyone for your patience, and we can’t wait to post all of y’all’s ace headcanons!

It's Asexual Awareness Week!
So be aware, be very aware.
Asexual Character of the Day: Anne Shirley from Anne With an E
(Submittted by: @applejackalope).
OK so my next video I planned to make was “The History of Anne” basically going over Lucy Maude Montgomery and her life and how she created the amazing character we know and l’ve decided to do a video on asexuality instead and hopefully stop this rude, acephobic, and ignorant behavior.
So, earlier I tried my best to make a video but I got so mad that I couldn’t get through it. So instead I’m making a post about it.
Asexuality is defined as a lack of sexual attraction towards anyone, regardless of gender. It is important to note the distinction between romantic and sexual attraction. Most people feel both, some may only feel one or the other, and some may feel neither. Regardless, everyone has equal opportunity to fall in love, get married, and have children. Being asexual or aromantic, or both does not limit this.
When talking about asexuality, it’s important to also talk about the ace-spectrum. On one end, there are those who are sex-repulsed, who hate sex and never want to experience it. On the other end, there are those who are more sex positive. If their partner wants to have sex they are fine with it, since sex is supposed to be a pleasurable experience, but they never really seek it out and don’t miss it if it’s not there. There are also those who are grey-sexual, which is where you are very far on the sex positive end of the spectrum, and demi-sexual, where you can develop sexual attraction but only after falling in love.
I personally headcannon Anne as asexual, bi-romantic. She is not sexually attracted to anyone, though she is romantically attracted to men and women. She is still in love with Gilbert, she is very in love with Gilbert, and they still make babies and everything since Gilbert likes it and she doesn’t mind and it’s pleasurable enough. It’s just that wanting sex isn’t her reason for getting in the relationship and she wouldn’t miss it if it were gone, though she would miss him.
As a final note, I would like to point out something Anne herself, right after Aunt Jo’s party.
“I think I learned something about love, too. It doesn’t look the same for everyone. It can come in so many forms. How can there be anything wrong with a life, if it’s spent with someone you love.”
Me two years ago explaining why my headcanon about a character being ace is relevant : Long paragraph explanation accompanied with texts and/or screencaps from the book/movie/show along with the creators’s comments
Me headcanoning characters as ace now :

stop sexualizing this literal child of a character
What the hell do you think asexuality is? How exactly would you define it? I’m genuinely interested because I have no idea how you got to that conclusion. Did you teleport? Also
She’s the same age as Cole in the show, but everyone loves to talk about him discovering and accepting his sexuality.
No one objected when I had the Bi!Anne icon, why is asexuality so much worst?
I’ll get into it more in the video, but all this is bull.
Sorry if you took this offensively— I wasn’t trying to be acephobic or anything, but based on what people know from the books, movies, and tv show, this is false. She falls in love with Gilbert, and has children with him. Maybe you found a way to interpret it another way?
Aces can fall in love and have children, if they so choose.
Me, looking at the our activity page and comments:
when making ace characters/headcanons please remember:
not liking romance =/= being ace
not liking sex =/= being ace
ace =/= cishet
ace = no sexual attraction
“lol their sexuality is pizza” fuck you
but seriously ace people are not obsessed with food
some ace people like sex. some are just neutral. some are sex-repulsed. it’s not a unanimous thing.
“I think this character is ace” “but they’re gay!” yeah what’s your fuckin point
being ace =/= not gay
don’t infantilize ace people. being ace doesn’t make someone uwu pure
it’s okay to headcanon kids as ace. it’s not like you’re not allowed to be ace until you hit a certain age. If I had more information about what being ace was when I was a kid, I have no doubt I would have been calling myself ace way earlier.
however: your reasoning for headcanoning a kid as ace shouldn’t be because they’re not having/interested in sex. Well, yeah, duh. Of course they aren’t. They’re a kid.
ace people can’t be “cured” by “the right person”
I don't know if anyone has submitted this yet, but Elsa being ace or aroace?
