thoughts on: resumes
Nothing gets my skin crawling better than having to put together a resume. There's just something about having to list your "accomplishments" (first prize in the local baking competition?) on a few pieces of paper that I hate. Maybe it's seeing just what I've been doing all my life, compiled into one neat little package for someone else spill coffee on, then glance through five minutes before an interview. Maybe it's realizing just how boring of a person I am. Whatever it is, all I know is that I would rather shave my eyeballs then have to look at/think about my resume. Don't get me wrong, I have absolutely no problem with talking about myself. In fact, that's one of my favorite things to talk about. But honestly, we've put a man on the moon. Can someone please figure out a way to skip that part of the whole operation? Many thanks.
