@acdaldal / SUPERMAN, SUPER JUNIOR
“our scale is the best, our skills are the best, everything has to be the best—”
they have never gotten along.
he is fire and she is ice— no, she is a glacier. soo jinwoo burns everything in his path; if chou daldal were simply ice, she would not be standing on her feet or standing up to him. it’s infinitely frustrating to jinwoo even to be in the presence of someone so untouchable, unmeltable . . . which, unfortunately, seems to be often, as the eyes of one certain ryu soohyuk, aka jinwoo’s best friend, seem to be perpetually glued to her.
but as unsuffrable as she is, jinwoo can’t ever bring himself to hate her fully. their rivalry is one that brings a certain spark to him everytime he sees her determined stride down the hall. he lives for their bickering, seeing just how far he can string her nerves like a violin before she, if she ever does, snap. it’s nice to have someone he can show his true colors to; in his eyes, daldal will hate him no matter what he does to her . . . and of course, he seizes the opportunity whenever he can to take a sink into her thick skin with his sharp teeth. he is not a complete monster. even he hates to make anyone cry— which is why he needs her and her stubbornness in the club, her stubbornness that acts as a beautiful shield between him and their less-armored members. a wolf won’t weep when bitten.
today, though, he is truly, genuinely glad to have her. honors society will be participating in a competition among the top in the nation . . . his beloved vice president is just as knowledgeable as he is on these matters, if not more— not that he would ever admit it. but he is grateful when they are in the clubroom, the other members sitting across the room and practically pulling their hair out trying to put together arguments, while jinwoo practically leeches off the calm daldal perpetually seems to give him. he has long since finished his outline of his arguments, piecing together bits and pieces, and is waiting for her to finish her own so she can proofread his.
“yah, chou daldal,” he begins, eyes flickering with a mischievous, competitive fire, for once not directed at her— if there’s any society partner he could have, it would be his vice president for her strength and stubbornness. “let’s win this together, huh?”
