FATE AND HATE: EREN YEAGER X F!READER (PART 1)
SYNOPSIS: Eren Yeager always gets what he wants and what he wants now is a second chance. After 10+ years of yearning, the opportunity to get a certain Y/N L/N back presents itself. Said opportunity is his teenage son who is blissfully unaware of just how important his new chemistry teacher is in his life. As always, Eren attacked, and this attack was the most crucial one he madeā¦
A/N: YOU GUYS THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST CONCEPT IVE EVER COME UP WITH IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS SERIES THE FIRST PART IS LONG BUT I PUT IN MAD EFFORT INTO THIS ENJOY MY LOVES āØš
ā Eren, put me downā Y/N L/N squealed with her legs dangling in the air. She smiled brightly at the moon watching the scene of her being held up towards the sky, her boyfriendās hands tightly grasping both sides of her waist. A smile identical to hers was painted on his face. Finally he put her down, only to pull her to his chest and plant a series of pecks on her lips. It was a cool Saturday night and the playground was close and empty, with only the two of them there as they managed to sneak in. And everything was perfect.
Eren Yeager was a faultless boyfriend for the most part. He ticked every department a girl had in mind. He was ridiculously handsome with his dark hair that he was growing longer, his sparkling emerald eyes, and his sharp, defined facial structure. Eren was the most athletic boy in school, which did his toned structure much justice. And he was fun and exciting. It was the excitement around him that lured Y/N to him. Eren could look at a window and think to himself āwoah, wouldnāt it be crazy if I climbed through the window to the classroom instead of using the front door?ā
Eren never backed down from fights or putting someone in their place. He crackled with fire, usually to keep his company warm, though he could just as easily and surely burn them to the ground if needed. He stood up for anyone who needed to be stood up for, and defied anyone who needed to be defied. Sure, his anger needed a little taming, but he was golden at heart.
And he loved hard. One day he decided he couldnāt live in silence with all his wild butterflies, confessed nervously to a flushed Y/N, and it all began there. The winks across the hallway and the classroom, kisses in every variation of the word, an outstretched hand in an off limits to all students janitorās closet promising her something more passionate and interesting than whatever lesson she guiltily sneaked out of.
ā Where to, miss?ā Eren said in a mock British accent, fighting back the smile that threatened to ruin his feigned solemn expression. Y/N playfully curtseyed to him.
ā How about the car?ā She replied, referring to the car he got as a birthday present 2 years ago from his brother. To her knowledge, he was some young multi millionaire from Erenās fatherās previous marriage.
ā Ooohh, do you have in mind what I have in mind?ā Eren smirked as he pressed his forehead to hers. Y/N rolled her eyes and hit his chest.
ā No, you pervert! I just wanted to catch up. School was so hectic the past few weeks we didnāt get to spend as much time as we usually do togetherā.
ā Eren, youāre so badā Y/N whined as she rested her head on his bare chest, not minding the thin layer of sweat on it. Eren chuckled as he threw his head back and callously stroked her even sweatier hair.
āSchool is probably over by now. We didnāt even have any important subjects and it was the second last period, weāll be okayā
ā Yeah, I guess. Besides, we brought our backpacks. Theyāre in the trunk, right?ā
ā I have an extra pair of clothes in mine. Drop me offā.
And then it began going downhill.
Y/N huddled over the toilet, clutching her stomach and vomiting out the little food she ate throughout the day. She hated the smell of her favorite dishes and she began craving things sheād never even glance at usually. She weeped into her pillows and she yelled at her family. Then she jumped for joy and then she cried again.
But when the 2 red lines on the pregnancy test slapped her across the face, she didnāt know what to feel. She loved children and she loved her childās father, but she was 17 and he was 18, and this wasnāt the time to raise a child.
ā What am I gonna do, Philip?ā Y/N sniffled to her best friend. He didnāt have any answer to offer, so he just patted her shoulder and stared into the distance.
ā Eren, say something!ā She yelled at the tall male, who was leaning against the wall of his room with his arms crossed and his expression unreadable.
ā What the hell do you want me to say?ā
ā I donāt know, your feelings? A solution? What are we gonna do about this?"
" You figure that outā He ran his hand through his hair.
Y/N walked back home feeling like the most miserable creature on the planet. One question raced through her mind, and it wasnāt about her unborn child, it was about where she stood with Eren Yeager all this time. Did he truly love her? Surely men who are genuinely in love donāt turn away their women when life gets hard.
And the following 9 months were a torment. At least her parents had calmed down by now, realizing that the situation wasnāt entirely her fault and that maybe they missed taking care of an infant. Now wasnāt a bad time to be grandparents. Besides, they loved their daughter unconditionally, and way worse things could happen, right?
Eren barely talked to her. Sometimes, his emerald eyes would wander to her belly, which was starting to become noticeable. The kisses and the adventures were ancient history. Their love was a summer that entered the wintery days too soon. Eren found excuses to avoid her and only talked to her when it was unnecessary. Sometimes, Y/N questioned the depth of his love. She craved to feel his arms encapsulate her again, and to reach up to his gorgeous face and caress his cheeks. She yearned to see him do something silly for the sole purpose of hearing her laugh. He did none of that, but he didnāt take kindly to the slut shaming, and that was something.
So what were they? Just two young people suffering in a silent hell of studies and an unborn baby, confusion and hostility, a burning red love and the cold certainty of it withering to blackish blue (it had already begun showing hues of indigo after all). And at that moment Y/N realized just how quickly a title could lose its significance. āBoyfriendā and āgirlfriendā is what Eren and Y/N were to each other, but two people with those titles didnāt act the way they did towards each other. Y/N wondered if she could ever love her child.
Not all dreams come true, which is why Y/N danced with an unfamiliar transfer student and Eren by himself with a drink in his hand and a grin to whoever looked his way, yet like magnets, his eyes and her eyes kept locking.
Getting down from the graduation stage was a bit of a struggle, but with the help of two of the other graduates, she managed. A proud grin on her face. With one hand she clutched her certificate, and the other was on her almost fully swollen belly in a protective manner. Now, it was time to take care of something she had avoided for months.
ā Congratulations, Erenā Y/N tried for a happy smile, but hers came out melancholy.
ā You too, we made itā Eren nodded, mimicking her smile, failing just as she did.
ā So, itās been 7 months. We have to say it nowā
ā Y/N, thanks for everything. I wish you and our son the best. Take care of him and raise him well, but I canāt be in either of your lives. Itās best if you find a new manā
ā I saw that coming. Thank you too. I hope you find the one who you were truly meant to be withā.
The car ride back home was quiet. Far too quiet.
But the house 2 months after was not. And after 2 months, Y/N finally smiled a real smile. Her face lit up like fireworks as she twirled around the nursery with little Elijah, savoring his excited giggles. She could love him after all. She loved him more than anything or anyone else in the world. What a lucky, beautiful child. A pretty mother and a pretty (albeit missing) father.
Sheād raise him to be different from him. Brave in every other category, but a coward when itās most important. A traitor. Not Elijah L/N, no.
THE PRESENT: PERFECTION IN GENERAL
Y/N fetched herself a can of cold coffee from the fridge, checking the time on the clock. Liberio Middle School was around 10 minutes away from her house. She had around 40 minutes left till her son Elijah's classes began at 8.00 AM.
ā Elijah, you nearly ready?ā She called for the 14-year-old.
ā Yeah, I just have to snatch my pencil case from Smoothieās mouth againā came his reply from upstairs. Y/N shook her head with a small chuckle. Smoothie the ragdoll cat and Elijah were the two loves of her life. If this was Ancient Egypt, Elijah would worship the creature.
Elijah slid down the railing of the stairs, causing his mother to frown and her anxiety to shoot up.
ā How many times do I have to tell you to walk down the stairs like a normal person? You want to get a concussion that bad?ā She scolded him, mildly annoyed by the way he was so unbothered by her worrying. Elijah merely flashed her a smile like that of a Cheshire catās. He was very tall for his age, and towered over his mother.
ā Relax, mom. Iām a pro at thisā He winked before bending down to kiss the top of her head.
Elijah looked like a copy pasted version of his father. He had the same staggering height and dark hair. He had the same shining green eyes. As a typical young teen, he had become more conscious of his appearances, and began growing his hair a little longer. At the tender age of 12, he was approached by modeling agency scouts on the streets. Men and women in professional suits desperate to train him to be the next big supermodel, with his sharp yet angelic features. But Elijah was more into music, and turned down the agents politely.
Y/N was long over Eren Yeager. He was nothing but a bad memory. As immature as it was, she felt resentment towards the boy. Only he wasnāt a boy anymore, he was a man now. Y/N tried to not think of him and after a year or so, she managed to successfully push him out of her head. But she was only human after all, and sometimes Eren Yeager came sprinting back in her mind, wearing his sweat drenched tracksuit and bouncing his basketball. Waving enthusiastically at her and stretching out his muscular hands for her to take. When he did, she looked away. He was all grown up by now. He had a life and a job and possibly a new girlfriend. Or maybe he was dead. The latter sounded more satisfying.
Elijah fiddled with the zipper of his jacket and hummed along to the song on the radio. He was a sweet boy, but he was restless too. So much like his father. Y/N had only love for the boy. A love so deep it burned. Y/N taught him the importance of loyalty from a young age. Thatās the one thing she hoped heād have that his father didnāt.
ā Mom, is there something on your mind?ā Elijah asked, noticing that Y/N was distracted this morning.
ā No, honey. Iām just concentrating on the road aheadā Y/N shook her head.
ā Alright. So, mom. Thereās this thing I forgot to tell you yesterday. You know my friend Emilia right? Well she invited me and a couple of our other friends over to watch this new horror movie next weekā
ā You mean next weekend?ā
ā Next Friday eveningā
ā Alright, honey. Iāll check and see if we have anything on our schedule for Friday. You really wanna watch a horror movie on the big screen? Horror out of all the other genres?ā Y/N rolled her eyes. Y/N was a hater of anything creepy, something Elijah used against her every chance he got.
ā Yeah, and then Iāll come home possessed by an evil demon. Did I mention the movie is based on real events?ā Elijah joked. Y/N made a comical gagging face with her tongue out at this.
ā Okay, weāve arrived. Focus on your lessons and be good, yeah?ā Y/N kissed his cheek.
ā Bye, mom!ā Elijah waved at her. Y/N watched a boy walk up towards him and fling his arms around his shoulder. The duo walked inside the white building. Y/N drove the car for another 30 minutes to her workplace: Ymir and Karlās Law Firm. Raising a baby and studying something as crucial as law wasnāt easy, but Y/N persisted. Resilience was something she was admired by all her peers for. With a birkin in hand and a high ponytail, she walked into the air conditioned building. All her colleagues scurried around the place in suits and blazers, studying files and taking important phone calls. There was a fountain in the middle of the lobby, golden in color. A statue of Aristotle surrounded by a pile of scrolls of books, a stream of water shooting out of the top part of the faux books. A dozen koi fish swam in the cool water. Y/N sat down at her tidy desk.
A sigh escaped her lips as she opened her laptop. Time to get to work
āIsnāt the new chemistry teacher coming today?ā Leo Ryder said, unwrapping a fresh new stick of watermelon gum.
ā Who cares? Theyāll probably be old and boring like the last oneā Emilia Niles snickered.
ā Why isnāt Vinnie here yet? Did he fall asleep in front of his locker again?ā Elijah wondered out loud. Vincent āVinnieā Arrowman was his best friend since elementary school. Vincent was 2 heads shorter than Elijah and had a pale complexion with dirty blond hair and a thick British accent. Vincent was a bit of an airhead. Leo was a skinny boy with ginger hair and a hooked nose. Emilia came from old money and her mother was once a high fashion model, and she lived up to those titles very proudly. She never had a single strand of her dark auburn hair out of place, and took extreme care of her skin and chose each outfit as if her life depended on it. Why not be pretty and a good student at the same time? She wasnāt a snob, she was just ridiculously high maintenance for a 14-year-old.
ā There he is,ā she pointed her chiseled chin towards the door. In came a very tired looking Vinnie, who plopped down groggily next to Elijah.
ā Wakey wakey, Englishman,ā Elijah said in a sing-song voice.
ā Shut upā Vinnie replied moodily. It seemed he was the only one not bursting with energy or excitement that morning. Emilia, Vinnie. Elijah and Leo were running out of patience from the excitement of watching a movie together that evening. Could the clock go any slower?
Suddenly, the door closed behind them with a loud thud. So loud, the entire class stopped chattering and looked immediately at the individual who had so dramatically barged in.
Emilia was very wrong about the new chemistry teacher. He was a young man in either his late 20s or early 30s with dark hair tied in a halfway man bun. He was wearing a black dress shirt and dark beige pants. His cologne was very strong, and his emerald eyes were piercing. The new teacher beamed brightly at his new students from the middle of the class, his toothy beam sitting very well with the girls (especially Emilia). He wasnāt old, and he seemed far from boring.
ā Emiliaās regretting every word she said 2 minutes ago right nowā Leo smirked, finding the way his friendās cheeks flushed scarlet very amusing.
ā Well, rise and shine, kiddos!ā The teacher exclaimed with a little clap of his hands.
ā Helloā a couple of students said unenthusiastically.
ā Wow, yall are weak. A little more energy please, all of you. Give me a warm welcomeā He banged his table with such force the entire class woke up now.
ā GOOD MORNING CLASS!ā
ā WONDERFUL! I am Eren Yeager. Call me Mr. Yeager or Mr. Eren or just Eren. Whatever you want, that's not a slur and along the lines of the options I just gave you,ā he said as he unpacked the contents of his backpack: files and a laptop.
ā So, todayās lesson wonāt be too serious. I just got here. I wanna get to know my new students. My new besties. Doesnāt your generation call practically everyone under the sun a bestie?ā
The classroom erupted in laughter.
ā Yep, Iām still on trend. Okay so I have 2 worksheets for you guys today. Iāll be handing them out. On the first one I want you to write your name and the aspects of chemistry youāre best at and the ones youāre the worst at. The second one is a worksheet on the basics of chemistry. Super easy. Donāt feel too pressured by it and donāt feel bad if you get confused or get any of these wrong, youāre here to learn and Iām here to help you do exactly that,ā he said as he passed the worksheets around the classroom, asking his students their names.
ā There you go, whatās your name, young lady?ā He smiled at Emilia.
ā Oh, uh, Emilia,ā Emilia blushed again.
ā Yes, sameā Emilia pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear, mentally punching Leo and the boys for the looks they were giving her. Vinnie, Elijah and Leo were trying to hold back their laughter.
Eren finally landed on Elijahās seat. Elijah gave him a polite nod, one he didnāt return. If Elijah were just 3 heads taller and had a buffer body, heād be able to pass as Erenās twin brother. The cogs in his head started to turn.
No it was purely a coincidence. Just another guy blessed with genes like Erenās. But his impeccable bone structure and those eyesā¦
ā Thanksā Elijah said as he began working on his first worksheet.
ā Whatās your name, bud?ā Eren asked, inspecting him closely.
ā Donāt call me sir, makes me feel oldā
ā Ohā Elijah chuckled, still hard at work.
ā Whatās your full name?"
ā Please let this be just a coincidence. Yes, thatās what it is, just a coincidence. A lot of other people can have that maiden name, right? Iām not the only handsome dude on the planet. Maybe his father is some sort of prince, who knows? I am not his father and he is not my child and Y/N L/N is not his mother. I blew it with Y/N L/N ages ago and thereās no hope of ever making it up to her. Move the hell on, Eren Yeagerā Eren told himself.
ā Uh, sir. Those were the last two worksheets. Anything else I can help you with?ā Elijah asked.
An innocent question. But Eren also had a question. It was probably stupid, but he wouldnāt be getting any rest till it was answered. And Eren realized that he had more than just a question. The chances were slim, but he had a second chance if this Elijah L/Nās mother was who he thought it could be. And all at once, the seeds of a perfect, discreet plan was planted in his brain.
ā Now, what could you possibly help me with?ā Eren said, with a glint in his eyes as he leveled his eyes with Elijahās identical ones. He said those words loud enough for the whole class to hear. A vast collection of curious heads turned to see what was happening. Elijah felt cornered and confused. How did his teacher change his attitude in a matter of seconds? Did he do something wrong?
ā Didnāt I tell you to not call me sir just two seconds ago? Were you not paying any attention? Oh dear, I hate inattentive kids the most. Will he have a problem, Mr. L/N?ā
ā Iām sorry. It slippedā Elijah stuttered, hyper aware of all the eyes fixated on him. He glanced over at Emilia, Vinnie and Leo, who had the same confused expression as him on their faces.
ā Well, it better not slip againā Eren warned before walking to his desk. He felt bad for the kid. Eren could intimidate anyone easily no matter what he said. That was the stupidest thing to interrogate a kid on, but if he could just keep it up and not let his feelings get in the way, maybe heād push him far enough to get a date for a private chat with his mother. Wait, did Y/N have a new man now? Itād be hopeless if some primly dressed asshole walked into the classroom and not his dear Y/N, assuming it was his dear Y/Nās childā¦
Anything for a second chance. Anything to get her back. Y/N with her adorable giggles and her cute little face of laser focus. With her rambles and her gentle kisses and her tight hugs. How could he willingly let all of that go?
ā Good movie, overallā Vinnie commented as his friends nodded and hummed in agreement.
Leo was eating his ice cream sundae like a man starved, and Emilia shot him a disgusted look (which he ignored).
ā Guys, are we not gonna talk about Mr. Yeager though. I mean, what the fuck was that in class today? One second heās all nice and cheery and then he attacks Eli for like no reason. He hates being called āsirā that much?ā Vinnie said in a tone laced with frustration.
ā Very bipolar of him,ā Leo nodded.
ā Lost all respect for him right then and there. I just know he has the temper of a beastā Emilia scowled, recalling the events of the morning.
ā Really, Em? I thought you fell in love with him at first sightā Leo said smoothly. Emilia smacked his shoulder.
ā Ow! Bitch!ā Leo growled, rubbing his shoulder.
ā Worst chemistry lesson of my life. Like you know those teachers who just decide they hate a student at first glance for literally no reason? Thatās what Mr. Yeager is like. I mean, the fuck I even do?ā Elijah ranted, digging his plastic white spoon into the cold pink puddle of his sundae as if he were digging a tiny ice cream grave. The movie had distracted him for 2 hours, but the scorpion sting that was his new teacherās unwarranted attacks on him never left his mind.
ā I mean, I just have to suck it up and deal with him, I guess. Turn in all my assignments and focus in class and politely answer his questions if I can. Stay out of his way mostly. Itāll be fine,āhe assured his friends. None of them seemed convinced.
ā Hey, weāll try to back you up the best we can if he goes overboard, okay?ā Vinnie comforted him, to which Elijah politely smiled.
Back home, Y/N noticed that Elijah was quiet. She assumed he was just tired, but it soon dawned on her that there was something else bothering him. Y/Nās motherās intuition could rival the deduction skills of Sherlock Holmes. Elijah sat idly on the sofa, stiff as a statue.
ā Something on your mind, honey?ā Y/N gently questioned him, her arms around his shoulders. Elijah shook his head. He had a tendency to bottle up his feelings and show everyone that he was just fine even if he clearly wasnāt. That was what was happening now. It would take a lot to coax his worries out of him.
ā Youāre down, Eliā
ā No, mom, itās nothing really. Just tiredā Elijah sighed.
ā Iām your mom, honey. I can see right through your excusesā Y/N said. Elijah merely grunted.
ā Well, just know that you can talk to me about anything, okay?ā Y/N said, giving up and deciding to give him his own time.
ā Yeah, thanksā Elijah quietly responded before laying on his back on the sofa and staring at the ceiling. No teacher had had a problem with him before. What could possibly piss Mr. Yeager off that bad? Being called āsirā?
But it didnāt end there.
ā Mr. L/N, I am going to need prescription glasses because of this handwritingā Mr. Yeager bit the inside of his cheek as he skimmed through Elijahās workbook. Elijahās handwriting was neat and perfectly readable.
It had been a week since Mr. Yeagerās arrival at the school, and Mr. Yeager couldnāt find a single thing about Elijah that sat well with him.
ā Elijah, if you canāt bring your own eraser, donāt bother coming to my classā Heād snap at him when he saw him ask Vinnie for one. But then heād smile at Emilia if he ever saw her do the same thing.
ā Elijah, why are you such a slow worker?ā Heād criticize, even though Elijahās pace was enough for him to keep up with the rest of his peers.
Today, Mr. Yeager was feeling especially cruelā¦
ā Alright, class, today weāre doing an experiment. Whoās excited?ā
ā ME!ā The entire classes chanted in unison. Elijah fought to not make any eye contact with the man. Cautiously, he unzipped his backpack to fetch his notebook, trying to ignore the intensity of Mr. Yeagerās glare through his head. Elijah took a deep breath before turning around when he heard Mr. Yeagerās footsteps approach him, and stop behind him. He had memorized those footsteps off by heart, those fierce CLACK CLACK CLACK sounds that dragged out all his unease and nausea like a honeyed sirenās song does to a tired sailor.
ā Elijah L/Nā Mr. Yeager tasted that name, and from his tone, it was apparent that the name tasted terribly bitter.
ā Yes, Mr. Yeager?ā Elijah calmly responded, holding eye contact.
ā Everyone else here showed some sort of reaction when I mentioned the experiment, and you were just in your own little worldā He pointed it out. Elijah could feel his temper rise from the ashes. If he wasnāt level headed enough, there would be a bear fight in the classroom. Elijah took another deep breath, resisting even as the rancorous roaring of his anger echoed in his mind. ā Mom would resolve things like this rationally. Donāt let her downā Elijah ordered himself.
ā I was just getting my notebook out,ā Elijah patiently explained.
ā Point remains you were nonchalant. I hate nonchalance. I want my students to show some sort of reaction when I announce something. You are the only one in the class who canāt meet my standardsā
ā Well then what are your standards, prithee tell?ā Elijah snapped. It finally happened. He gave in to his scorching anger.
ā Watch your tone, boyā Mr. Yeager warned, his left eye madly twitching.
āOoooohhhhā The class gasped collectively, chattering away excitedly to anyone near them. Vinnie, Emilia and Leo stared at Elijah with widened eyes, sly, satisfied smirks on their faces. Mr. Yeager deserved whatever he had coming.
ā I have never had a problem with chemistry or any other chemistry teacher before you. I always pass this subject with flying colors and my previous teachers complimented my work. But then you came along and started this stupid grudge with me because I called you āsirā. You know thereās nothing wrong with my progress or my handwriting or my attention in class, for some reason, you just donāt like me. I donāt know what that godly reason may be, but I certainly donāt care. Go on, throw a fit about being called āsirā at your age. This whole class is watchingā Elijah crossed his arms. The consequences would be ugly, but he didnāt pay that any mind. A huge load had been carried off his shoulders, and he felt like he could take on the whole world single handedly.
ā My attitude? Oh you mean me smiling at you in the hallways even after your harshness with me in class even though I have no reason to do that? Finishing every homework assignment on time? Never disrupting a lesson?ā
ā And look at you being disrespectful towards me nowā Mr. Yeager said icily.
ā Iām deeply sorry I threw facts in your face and bruised your ego, sirā Elijah put pressure on the last word. Mr. Yeager scoffed. His gaze landed on one intrigued face to another.
ā Get out of my class. Your homework for next lesson is writing me an apology letter, a sincere oneā
ā Well I have nothing to apologize for, so thatās one assignment you can grade me zero onā.
Did Emiliaās mother feel like this at the 1994 Chanel spring runway? Elijah was a hardened soldier walking away from the battlefield, an arrow on his shoulder, but his armor otherwise in perfect condition.
And then he began thinking. Maybe it was time he gave his mother some much needed updates on his school lifeā¦
Eren cracked his knuckles and let out a deep groan. It was mid afternoon by now. The sky was a charming blend of lemonade pink and tan orange, and each cloud hung in its place, illuminated by the rays of the sun. A very watercolor painting like sky.
Eren bit the cap of his pen absentmindedly, his green eyes had a faraway look in them as he stared into the void, slowly rolling back and forth in his office chair. Memories of that morningās chemistry class played on repeat in his head like a broken record player.
Now there was only the smallest ounce of doubt left in his mind that Elijah L/N was his son.
Eren laughed softly through his nose. Then he let out a gentle snicker which soon turned into a full on cackle and then a breathless guffaw! The school building was nearly empty.
ā Oh, Elijah L/N I fucking love youā He breathed. His heart had swelled with pride when Elijah shut him down that morning. Unbeknownst to everyone in the class, Elijah was his favorite student. Not only because of the high possibility of him being Erenās long lost child, but because Eren sensed the fire in the boy. He was his fatherās son. And Eren realized that heād deeply admire the boy even if he wasnāt his son. And god he hoped Elijah was his son, heād be proud to call Elijah L/N his son.
ā Honey, how long has this been going on?ā Y/N asked her son with furrowed eyebrows, appalled at the stories he was recounting for her.
ā Like about 2 weeks I think. I had enough today and I just lashed out at himā Elijah rolled his eyes.
ā Eli, you went a bit far but I must say he deserved itā
ā Yeah he did heās a straight up bullyā
ā He sounds like a nightmare! Whyād the principal ever employ someone like him?ā
ā Thatās my question exactly!ā
ā We have no time to waste. Whatās his name and email address?ā
ā Okay, let me get my laptop so I can tell you his email address. But his nameās Mr. Yeager. Eren Yeagerā.
Y/Nās world stopped moving dead in its tracks. Time stopped flying and everything was a stormy gray blur. All at once, Elijahās concerned questionnaire became white noise and there was an excruciating ringing in Y/Nās head. Dazed, the woman fell on the sofa, unblinking with twitching lips. āPlease donāt let this be who I think it is. Please let it be another Eren Yeager. Someone pudgy and balding. Not that Eren. Not him again. God, I beg thee to forever keep our paths unalignedā was the mantra Y/N repeated in her head.
ā Mom, youāre being weird! Why are you acting like this?ā Elijah loudly questioned his mother.
ā Honey, get mommy a glass of waterā Y/N croaked, unable to keep her voice calm.
āOkay, Iām pouring you a glass of waterā Elijah said as he turned the water tap on.
ā Now, will you please tell me whatās gotten into you?ā
ā Your teacher, Mr. Yeager. How old is he?ā
ā Last time I checked, heās 32. Why?ā
He was 18 when Y/N had tested positive for her pregnancy test, and 14 years had passed since thenā¦
Still! He could be another young teacher. āQuit overthinking, Y/N L/Nā Y/N scolded herself.
ā Oh, I see. Well, forward me his email address, Elijah. Weāll meet him after school tomorrowā.
Y/Nās slender fingers shook like there was an earthquake as she typed the mail. Her heart beat out of her chest with every letter that appeared on the screen, and her breathing was erratic. Rapidly, her fingers flew from one letter to another, and at last, the mail was finished being written:
This is Y/N L/N writing. This mail is regarding my child, Elijah L/N, and his performance in your chemistry lessons.
According to Elijah, you havenāt been treating him as cordially or as fairly as his other peers.
I wish to have a chat with you and Elijah about this tomorrow afternoon after the school day is over so that we may get to the bottom of this situation and resolve whatever problems need to be resolved.
Eren admired his bare physique in the mirror of his bathroom casually. It was a long day and he had arrived home from the gym. Next, he took a relaxing shower and ate leftover dinner and watched whatever dumb teen drama was on TV. They were so stupid and bad they were actually kind of good and enjoyable. Attractive actresses too, nothing to mind.
Now he was brushing his teeth and softly bopping his head to the rap on his Spotify playlist. The phone dinged and vibrated. Eren peeked down at his phone and saw that it was a Gmail notification from his peripheral vision.
As his back hit the comfortable white mattress of his bed, he whipped out his phone from the pocket of his black sweatpants to open Gmail.
The first line of the mail made his heart soar and he was on cloud 9.
This is Y/N L/N writing. This mail is regarding my child, Elijah L/N, and his performance in your chemistry lessonsā Eren read aloud. Though his voice was mellow, the excitement in it was evident.
ā Eren fuckin Yeager, youāre the best schemer in the whole worldā He clapped his hands.
ā Christ, mom, itās just school not a galaā Elijah whined impatiently as he watched Y/N apply her makeup carefully at her vanity table. She decided to go for a natural glam look. If this was really her bonehead ex, she would make him feel all the regret on this green earth today.
ā Nearly done, Eliā Y/N muttered as she studied the lipsticks in front of her. Mauve brought out her eyes, maroon red was very classic, burgundy was the edgiest. She settled on a sheer, slightly shimmery nadeshiko pink lipgloss at the end, and meticulously applied 2 coats of the gloss.
Elijah dramatically cleared his throat, an action Y/N ignored to pick her perfume. A more seductive Victoriaās Secret body mist, or a subtle yet sweet flowery Jo Malone? Victoriaās Secret it is. They were renowned for bottling up every sensual, confident mood in their intricately designed bottles after all.
ā Letās go, Eliā Y/N called to Elijah as she gawked at her own reflection. Her best little black dress and her tallest rhinestone studded stilettos.
