What if Eridians have their own theme parks or some similar entertainment and after Rocky and Grace arrive on Erid, theme rides or activities for kids are created because the pair is so popular?

Imagine Rocky walking home to Adrian one day and passing a bunch of kids, each in their xenonite ball, playing "Rocky in Hail Mary" which is basically an obstacle course, you need to roll your ball and make sure you don't bump into anything, otherwise you get lower score.

(Adrian would love the idea and nag Rocky for his own xenonite ball, even if there are way better forms of protectice suits now, because it just looks so fun!)

And also. All Eridian schools would now include calculations of time differences on Erid and Earth, and also the most unpopular example for both students and the savior duo - "if Rocky makes four xenonite chain links in twenty Earth minutes with four moulds and Grace provides a new mould every two hours, how long will it take for them to make enough links for a chain that reaches Adrian atmosphere?"

Nothing to see here, just a random thought about Rocky getting used to Grace cracking his knuckles and joints when stretching during their journey to Erid and only being mildly disturbed that something so fleshy and leaky can produce a crunching sound (also the lecture on human skeletons probably scarred Rocky for life).

But then they arrive on Erid, Grace gets his biodome, all is going well, but then Grace leans his head to the side, stretches and...

CRUNCH!

The biodome control room dissolves into high-pitched panic. Did the alien savior just get damaged? Did the structural support holding his round head bone snap?! Is he in pain, urgent question??

But Grace just yawns and continues working on the human thinking machine. Amaze. But also scary.

The most respected Eridian specialist on humans is called - Rocky, of course. Not only because he spent way more time with the alien than anyone else, but also because he would go on a rampage if something happened to his friend.

Rocky reviews the recording of the crunch and assures the scientists that it's fine, this is the good crunch, not a bad crunch.

Eridians can't really stare, but it certainly feels like it.

"What is good crunch, question? And how does Rocky know the difference from the bad crunch?"

Rocky thinks for a moment. Then he raises his claw - stupid human gestures, he will never get rid of this one - and gets his xenonite suit.

That is how Grace spends the next two hours demonstrating good crunches and cracks, bad crunches, neutral crunches and very concerning crunches to a fascinated and slightly nauseated group of Eridian scientists. Rocky is directing him, of course, but when Grace starts explaining that he can't produce indefinite crunches in all his joints, that most of them rely on gas bubbles releasing from the joints, Rocky promptly concludes the session, claiming "humans design is flawed, no more gas bubbles today".

Grace only learns weeks later that his joints drove the whole science division to gambling. They apparently bet on the upcoming crunch and its nature.

Of course, Rocky is banned from participating as the lead human crunchologist, a title he never wanted but still got.

After getting dragged by Dustin to see Project Hail Mary, Steve comes back home a teary, emotional mess. Eddie keeps asking what this is about, did something happen with his parents or Dustin, was it really just the movie? "Come on, Stevie, talk to me about what's happening in that incredibly hairy head?"

Steve gets all teary-eyed again, hugs Eddie tightly. He whispers something, Eddie thinks it's something serious, but then he hears it.

"Would you still love me if I was a blind five-legged rock spider and you had to wait for me for decades before I came home?"

The answer is yes, of course, but what the hell was that. The next day, Eddie sneaks out to watch the movie, even though sci-fi isn't always his thing, but he needs to understand, damn it!

Steve is washing the dishes when Eddie arrives home, quieter than usual. Before Steve can turn around, Eddie hugs him from behind like an octopus, squeezing his waist and sniffling into Steve's shoulder.

And Steve gets worried for a second, sure, but then he hears Eddie whisper "yeah, Stevie, I'd be your Adrian."

What if Eddie and Steve's relationship gets revealed in the stupidest way possible?

Around April's fools day, the party is trying to outdo each other in practical jokes. Of course, Steve is frequently their target.

The party is wrapping up their latest Hellfire game at Steve's house, and the host just sat down to help Eddie brainstorm some physical aspects of their combat, because this jock has a lot to say about how much force you need to use to break someone's bones, imagine that.

Mike fakes dropping his wallet and climbs under the table. Tying someone's shoelaces together might be old, but still classic. Steve is in the middle of explaining how the direction of blunt weapon swing affects the user's grip, he won't see it coming-

Both Steve and Eddie freeze when Mike's head thuds against the massive table.

"Steve," he says and he sounds more mortified than in pain, "why are you wearing Eddie's custom made Hellfire socks?!"

And before either of them can respond, Erica just rolls her eyes and announces: "that's what you do with your boyfriend, dumbass. Wear each other's clothes. Not that you'd know, but if you keep hitting your head on that table, you might figure it out one day. Maybe he'll paint you a picture or something."

Will grows beet red and everyone promptly drops the subject (except for Dustin, but that's Dustin). As far as shocking news go, it could have gone way worse.

During the next Hellfire Club meeting, Steve notices Will staring at him. As he returns his gaze, Will grins and inconspicuously lifts his pants, just an inch to show Steve a pair of socks that unmistakably belong to Mike.

Thank you to @strawberryspence for tossing me back into soulmates AUs with a question to the Angstflayer Council!

Universe with soulmates AU that is absolutely unreliable and difficult to spot. The soulmates share something, but it can be absolutely anything, and they only figure out that they're soulmates once they identify the common thing. After that happens, a tiny golden text appears around their ring finger with whatever that thing is.

The soulmate culture/belief is a bit of a joke at this point, because it can be so random, some people had their first kiss in the same spot ("first kiss in a KFC parking lot"), some have the same shaped birthmark in different places ("mug-shaped birthmark", of course Wayne has that one with Scott), some share a random noise that they hate ("hates the sound of opening cans")...the list goes on and on and most people decide to just disregard the forever hunt for similarities. Dating apps also tried to cash in on this, but with the options being almost limitless, the whole business failed. So if soulmates find each other, it is a happy accident and nothing else.

Enter Steve Harrington and Eddie Munson around season 4, they don't like each other much, bicker a lot, fight over Dustin's attention and have the usual "the bully jock" and "the freaky dealer" reasons for not liking each other.

One day, Hellfire takes longer than usual and Dustin has a family dinner with his mom and Steve, because Claudia really, really likes Steve and he can't say no. Steve waits for thirty mins before losing his patience, he barges in and announces that Dustin has to pack now, they're already late. Eddie and others start arguing that this is the best part, that Steve can't possibly understand, that he's spoiling everything-

And then Steve says the sentence that seals his fate.

"Deal with it, Munson. We're sharing the custody and now it's my turn."

As he finishes the last word, he already knows something is very wrong. The dark room gets illuminated by a golden light from his and Eddie's hands, slender letters forming on their fingers.

It's the quietest the Hellfire Club has ever been.

Eddie stares at his ring finger, with "shares unofficial adoptive son" now faintly glowing under his rings. "Fuck me," he says.

Steve gives him a deadpan look and shoves Dustin's backpack in his lap to start packing. "Haven't you heard me?" he says. "I and our son have dinner plans. But if it's an invitation, I'm free from ten or so."

(and yes, they get together, maybe not so fast, but whenever Dustin bitches at Steve and Eddie being touchy and gentle with each other, they both get to stare at him and tell him "and whose fault is that?!")

Here's a thought about Eddie learning about weighted blankets, he really wants one for his fidgeting and anxiety, but he's not sure if it would help and he doesn't want to waste all that money if it doesn't.

He makes the mistake of casually mentioning this to his now friend Steve Harrington, being bat bite buddies and all, and Steve just tells him "let's test it then". They go to Eddie's bedroom, Steve throws all of Eddie's wardrobe on top of him and his blanket, but Eddie keeps complaining it's still too light. And look, Steve didn't survive Vecna to be defeated by a theoretical weigted blanket, so he shrugs and lies on top of Eddie, his blanket and the pile of clothes.

Eddie's voice is muffled, but Steve can make out his words - "almost perfect."

He removes half of the sock drawer from Eddie's face and asks: "OK, what's missing?"

Eddie looks him straight in the eyes and says: "You under the blanket with me."

Steve is silent for a moment, but he raises his hand and absentmindedly plays with Eddie's hair. "Really?"

Eddie nods, then adds: "Just to assure you. I'm not saying that only because those blankets are stupid expensive."

Chuckling, Steve finally rests his hand on Eddie's cheek. "You should know that having a boyfriend is even more expensive."

Eddie laughs as Steve finally removes the whole wardrobe from the bed and joins him under the blanket. "Yeah, but I survived the end of the world, you know. It's only right if I treat myself to a jock boyfriend."

"Smart choice."

This is it, thinks Eddie. This is the absolute worst part about dating a jock.

He could handle the once-a-year hiking trip where he loses both his lungs and dignity. He got used to Steve leaving their bed at ungodly hours for his morning run, which were coincidentally Eddie's two least favorite words combined. He quietly suffered when Wayne and Steve sat themselves in front of their TV and yelled at the tiny people in colorful outfits. All of that he could handle.

But now Steve is leaning over his latest campaign notes, gets that adorable frown that always appears when trying to read Eddie's handwriting and says "what the hell are you feeding them?!"

Eddie can't see what's wrong - they are in a calmer part of the campaign, he has the grateful townspeople load the party's bags with sweet pastries, apple pies and whatnot. He thought it would be cute.

But Steve talks about horrible and foreign concepts of balanced nutrition, sugar crash, and energy levels, fights for introducing healthy snacks in the campaign and reminds Eddie on the "sugar rush Henderson" episode he'd rather both forget and tease Dustin with forever. "Just because you eat like a raccon who found Willy Wonka's trash doesn't mean the kids should too!", he says and then he dives into the numerous issues of exploring dungeons and fighting without any proper fibre or protein content, "that's so irresponsible Eddie, there's no sunlight there, they need the vitamins!"

And Eddie loves Steve, he really does, but it's difficult to feel the love when it's 5 AM and he's still trying to calculate the daily calorie and nutrient intake of an active middle-aged dwarf.
