huge arms trapping you in his hold, his chest presses against your back as the sunlight filters through the curtains . he stirs slightly as you squirm in his hold, gorgeous greens looking down at your messy head of hair while dean snores in the bed across from you two . sharing a bed with sam wasn't always comfortable with his 6'4 stature , especially in dirty motels with mattresses that felt like concrete , but the mornings made everything worth it .
"morning." a quiet rumble from behind you. he was never much of a deep sleeper . he plants a kiss to your temple , arms tightening around you slightly , long legs tangled with yours . he always savored these moments , no hunting , no fearing that this might be his last day on earth , just domestic peace . it gave him hope that maybe one day you two could have that white picket fence , apple pie life normal people were blessed with . although he knew it was useless , wishing for something he'd never get , so he made peace with what he had — which was holding you on a slightly moldy mattress with dried blood on his knuckles and demons he'd carry with him until death .
"morning." you reply , a quiet yawn escaping you as you turn to face him . its still early , the pitter-patter of rain falling on the windowsill and birds singing their melodies filling the room as cold wind seeps in through the cracks in the walls . a shiver runs through you before you can stop it , sam immediately pulling you face-first into the warmth of his chest . after a few minutes , his breathing evened out again , and he fell back into a peaceful sleep without a worry in the world . well, except maybe for the fact that the world was ending , but that wasn't important right now .

★stanford!sam is that quiet guy that sits in front of you in psychology class– the first thing he did was apologize for how much he was going to block the board. (He was right, his broad shoulders and towering height did in fact cover up most of the board)
★stanford!sam who makes up for it by bringing you a warm drink every morning. (First time he didn’t know if you’d like coffee or tea so he brought both and kept the one you didn’t choose)
★stanford!sam who sees you struggling to balance all the subjects and offers to tutor you. He organizes the coziest study-dates, somehow managing to make them less intimidating by preparing mock questions on flashcards, talking you through every concept with patience and genuine interest in the topics.
★stanford!sam is the designated driver every time there’s a party. Sure, he doesn’t particularly enjoy parties, nor do you ever drink too much– he just enjoys helping however he can, plus he knows how draining they can be, so he lets you doze off with your head against the window.
★stanford!sam who can’t help but be awkwardly flustered whenever you wear his Stanford hoodie to class– you have one of your own but insist his is a hundred times comfier. (Mainly because of the sheer size of it)
★stanford!sam always has a breakdown before finals even if he always, ALWAYS aces them.
★stanford!sam who has two types of handwriting– the tidy, fancy one and the rushed, scribbled one he ends up using in most of the classes. (Teachers speak too fast for him to copy every word if he doesn’t scribble down everything he won’t get it all)
★stanford!sam adds a new picture to his wall every time you hang out. He has countless polaroids of your study dates (and date-dates) along with older pictures of him and his brother– which you learned is a local mechanic called Dean– also some of a pretty blonde woman you assume is his mother, though you don’t ask because it’s a touchy subject.
