I just read a fic by "INeedaBurnerAccountOkay" and I loved it. I'm making my way through their fics as we speak, and honestly, they've all been really good up until now. Anthony Crowley is a workaholic who left London 25 years ago and never looked back. Until he - somehow - finds himself as the new middle-aged bachelor in a dating show that he doesn’t really have any interest in taking part in. For one, there’s the problem of the female suitors - not great for a man who’s always gravitated more towards men. And then there’s the adorable, white-haired man who’s supposed to be his handler, but who makes him feel more than any of the women combined …

Aziraphale has been back for a year. Heaven was … not what he expected, and it only took him three years to realise it. Three years in which he had no contact with Crowley. Three years in which he really had time to realise how much he missed him. How much he cherished him. Loved him. Wanted him.

He’d felt the ghost of Crowley’s lips against his every day since leaving, and when he finally made his way back, he knew it wouldn’t be possible to return to that exact moment. He knew he needed to work to regain his trust. His affection.

He hadn’t known how long it would take though, and how utterly distant the demon would seem.
