I’ll be writing about the Percy Jackson universe- specifically Will Solace and the Apollo cabin. Probably also Naomi, because she’s my girl and I love her forever🫶🏻

I think Naomi Solace got famous pretty fast. Like, after her first album fast. And I think Will was pretty young- three or four- when that happened. I think Naomi would have tried her best to protect him from the public eye, maybe going as far as not telling anyone she had a son, and being able to keep up the ruse by playing Will off as one of her security guards kids. I think she would do this, not because she’s ashamed of Will, but because she knows how the media treats little kids, and she wanted to keep Will as far away from that as possible. And then Will grows up and moves back to Texas because he needs a break from camp. He has a discussion with Naomi about her telling people about him, and she lets him know that the Paparazzi is going to go absolutely feral over him (because, let’s be honest, he’s a conventionally attractive blond man and the media loves that) and he’s just like ‘lol ok’ not really believing her, because he’s just Will, he’s not anything special. And Naomi’s like ‘ok well I warned you’ and she goes public, posting a photo on Instagram or something for like, Thanksgiving or Christmas. And her fans just lose. Their. Shit. they’re all like ‘what do you mean you have a son? What do you mean he’s 18?? What do you mean he’s hot?? Is he single? Where has he been all this time? She ends up doing a documentary for like an album or something and Wills in it, and her fans are just eating it up. They’re loving it so much they start calling her ‘Mama Solace’ (because she’s a great mom and I’m dying on that hill). And the documentary is 99% Will and Naomi being chaotic and 1% tour stuff. Idk man, just Naomi and Will being the new Celebrity mom/son duo that people obsess over. Like, people are full on making 6hr deep dive videos about her songs, analyzing the lyrics in a new light, because surely there were signs in her music that they missed, right?? People are just going feral over this new information. oh and Nico makes a cameo in the documentary for like .5 seconds and no one knows who he is, but there’s speculation that he’s Wills girlfriend (girlfriend because they didn’t get a good shot of his face, and his hair is shoulder length, leading people to believe Nicos a girl). And Naomi, Will, and Nico are just sitting, scrolling on like Reddit or something, laughing at the theories.

Y’all I’m cooking up something delicious. Some Will and Drew banter for the soul! some lines:

“work in the infirmary, they said. It’ll be fun, they said” he grumbled, sipping on the steaming coffee, burning his tongue for the eighth time that morning. “Ow, shit.” He muttered, going in for another sip. “Ow!”

“how could you even say that to me? Wait?? For my one sustenance in this dark, melancholy morning? Would you tell a malnourished man to wait? A dehydrated damsel to simply cease her drinking?”

”if I have to be awake, so do you.”

Drew pulled her pillow over her head and screeched so loud, Will wouldn’t be surprised if Chiron came running- or rather, galloping.

You know what would be truly heartbreaking? A pjo AU where both Lee and Selina were the camp traitors. It doesn’t come out until after the battle of Manhattan that Lee was a traitor. Now they both have to deal with not only most of their cabins being dead, but their oldest siblings who they looked up to being traitors and helping to sell them out. Will and Drew hadn’t really been close, but after tBoM, they are inseparable. (I could get into this for a long time, but that’s not the point of the post). Years pass and camp begins to grow again. Drew and Will are still as close as ever- especially after Tartarus. they both start getting comments about how much they look like their older siblings, so they both start to avoid mirrors. One day, Will finally looks in a mirror while washing his hands in the infirmary, and he’s so taken aback by what he sees- he’s a carbon copy of Lee. He can’t move- he’s stuck looking at his brother. Drew notices that he’s not moving and comes over to check on him, seeing herself in the mirror in the process. Neither of them like mirrors anymore.

headcanon that Will wears all of Lee/ Michael’s old infirmary scrubs because it’s one of the last things he has left of them. One note and I’ll post a fic about this

I know we all love the Idea of Will who is so enamoured by Nico and is constantly talking about him to anyone who’ll listen. But have we considered Will who is still enamoured, but pushes his emotions for Nico down because he can’t afford to be distracted from his infirmary duty. Will who can’t stop moving because if he does, he’ll start thinking about Nico and fall down the rabbit hole of need and desire and think about what he wants for once. And he can’t do that, because when he cares for himself, people die. Will who never talks about what he needs, only what others need. Will who, in the depths of the night, when all the paperwork is done and he can’t bear to reorganize the storage room for the thousandth time, let’s himself slip for just a moment into thinking about the life he could have with Nico if he didn’t have so many responsibilities. Will who falls asleep, imagining it’s Nico who’s breathing he hears, not the whimpers of a patient or a dreaming demigod. Will who desperately wants, but forces himself to put his needs last, therefore pushing Nico into the back of his mind, only letting the thoughts of him slip out in moments of weakness.

On the other hand, Nico who, once he’s spent some time healing, allows himself to think about Will. Nico who daydreams about falling into Wills embrace. Nico who thinks about running his fingers though Wills hair. Nico who tries to talk to Will, who is desperately avoiding him, pushing his feelings down. Nico who watches Will from afar, needing, but thinking Will doesn’t want him in that way. Nico who yap to his friends about Will, waxing poetic about everything and anything. Nico who yearns for Will. Nico who puts himself first, knowing what he wants

Will totally let’s the little campers put bows n shit in his hair. And fun bandaids all over his body. You walk into the infirmary and his appearance is a collage of every person he’s seen that day. Doodles connecting his freckles, bows and hair clips scattered through his curls, bandaids all over his arms, etc
