The original of this song is AMAZING. The remix? PHENOMENAL. I don't even have words for this. Put on your damn dancing shoes. :)

OH. And for those of you who are unfamiliar with Ratatat. This was the first jam of theirs that I ever heard. I was hooked instantly. They also do a fantastic remix of Missy Elliot's "Hot".
Okay, okay. Sorry I was MIA for a bit there. But I'm here with something extra special.... Ratatat vs. Dre. Ratatat are amazing. Every ratatat mashup or remix I hear makes me do my awesome scrunched up, "this is so rad" face. hahahah. :P This song doesn't fail at amazing me. And who doesn't love Dre's next episode?!!! ;)
This Young Empires jam is perfect for today's sunny awesome weather (yeah! it's 25C outside here in Hamilton)! Makes me wanna throw my arms up in the air and jump around. The flutey sounds are pretty fantastic. Damn, now I'm craving a pina colada, and a dance partner. ;D
I'm not the hugest Mike Posner fan, but this remix makes me wanna rock the hot shit head toss, and go out dancing all night! Hey Champ always blow me away with their remixes. What an amazing group. They're not only a band but djs and producers too. Seems to be the way music is these days. Much respect to the triple threats.
Note: Sorry Willow, but I coined the term hot shit head toss in 2005, so I refuse to call it "whipping my hair back and forth". :)
Miami Horror. I just stumbled upon this group the other day on YouTube. I am so glad I did! Related videos might be the best thing YouTube has ever done :) I can feel this being one of my top spring jams. Todays forecast: sunny with a chance of eargasmic sounds from the one and only Miami Horror.
Another rad mashup from The Hood Internet. This is my pump up song lately. The song I drink my Hutchy High-Fives to, before hittin' the bars on friday nights! How can you not shake your booty to this song?!!!! At about 1:30 in the song, is when the fist starts pumpin' and it's officially party time!
NOTE: A HUTCHY HIGH FIVE CONSISTS OF:
- THREE OLIVES BUBBLEGUM VODKA - MONSTER ENERGY DRINK
(make one. you won't be disappointed.)
The Hood Internet. They never cease to amaze me. If you know me, you know I have an insane love of mashups, and well…. THI are pretty much the current kings of mashing! They find a way to make terrible songs sound good, or make me not even remember how the original goes. 90% of the time, the THI version of a song is 100% better than the original. Those are good stats, and well this is one of those times. I’m a Wiz fan, for sure. But Wiz x Phantogram = eargasm. Makes me wanna light one up and chill the eff out! :) THANKS HOOD INTERNET xo
First post for this blog! :) Obviously a perfect pick, Cool Kids with Hey Champ!
The Cool Kids, which I remember most from their banger Black Mags, hit us with some smooth rhymes to the funkiness of Hey Champ in this slick tune. Totally an unexpected group duet but I'm actually so pleased with it. Grab a beer, check it out and get your groove on. Summer here we come! Funk/Indie Meets Hip hop/Rap? Killer. #hipsterheaven
