themagnuxbane:
magnus had been putting some books away when he came across a red leather book, it looked like a journal, and decided not to open it. he set it off to the side next to his register and waited to see if someone claimed it. he heard his door open, and saw a red headed girl ask about it. he held it up ❝is this it my dear?❞
once he held the journal up, lily let out the breath she didn’t realize she was holding. “yes.” graciously, she took the book from the other’s hands and opened it before flipping through the pages to make sure everything was in order. “merlin, this is such a relief, thank you.” after deeming everything to be in order, lily closed the book and shoved it in her bag. once the bag was shut she looked up at the man who found it with small smile. “where did you find it?”
piinkmilkshakes:
“HMM, a red book ??” thinking about it for a moment. petite hands pressed against her lips as a thoughtful expression danced on her features. “i haven’t—- i’m sorry about that !!”
“oh, it’s alright! i just -- i haven’t the foggiest where i could’ve put it. how high do you think the chances of it walking off are?”
lily surveyed the mess she created in search of this damn journal, a frustrated huff leaving her lips. “i need all the help i can get,” she admitted with a laugh. “i’ve turned this entire area upside down and i’m going bonkers.” she paused and looked up at the stranger with a smile. “i’m lily, by the way.”
iniimitablc:
“a journal? no, but i can help you look for it if you want. “ tina offers a friendly smile. she knows how dear and secret the contents of her own journal are and she wouldn’t want anyone’s innermost thoughts to fall into the wrong hands. “what’s in the journal? erotic friend fiction? “
“yes, thank you! it would be great if you could. i know i had it right...here,” she gestured vaguely to the corner hermit hole area she was currently stationed at, strewn with text books and papers galore, “but i just can’t seem to remember where i left it.” at the girl’s next statement she paused in confusion. “erotic friend fiction? i’m not quite sure what that is.”
mcrcki:
“i don’t see why not, and if they ask, you could always say when it happened in your own age. i’m sure they’d accept that.” leia offered again, with a smile of her own, but nodded at the question. “yes.” it was normal for leia, to meet people of different worlds, different places. but then again, being thrown into another world without knowing, that was far from normal. “well i was born on polis massa, but i grew up on alderaan. although my current home is on coruscant.”
“thank you. it’s refreshing to have an outside opinion once in awhile.” lily liked to think herself...decent at astronomy, but her eyebrows furrowed as the other began listing off places she’s never heard of. “alderaan...” she repeated. it sounded familiar, but she had no clue where she’s heard the name. “i’ve heard of that before. is it by the milky way?”
coffeeiiisms:
“impregnated me ?? y’know—– just guy things ??”
“and keying his car is all you want to do? that’s generous.”
troubledgilbert:
“And is that a good thing or a bad thing?”
“definitely good. it feels a bit like...normalcy, if that makes any sense. when we were in school my friends and i would find a day to get together there before the start of the year and just talk like we haven’t seen each other in years.” and she was telling all of this to a complete stranger. since the war back home started, she found herself remembering these moments more often than ever. deep down she knew that if they ever did relive them, it would be a long time from now, but she always kept hope that it would happen. and that bar, with the way people were appearing...maybe it would happen sooner than she thought. she chuckled awkwardly, “sorry. just brings back a lot of memories. do you have anywhere like that?”
mcrcki:
“we kissed, yeah. it’s not a big deal, it was bound to happen sooner or later.” marlene was trying to play it off, to make it seem like it truly was not a big deal, but she had been buzzing ever since it happened. it was like she had taken the best potions all brewed into one and she couldn’t stop smiling. it was about bloody time that it happened, and she couldn’t wait any longer to tell lily.
“now that’s rubbish and we both know it. you’ve fancied him for ages, this is huge!” and if it took any longer potter would’ve won their bet (not that he would even know.) it was probably best not to mention that right now. lily didn’t think it was possible to be any happier. after watching the back and forth between the two for years, it felt almost like how she imagined a proud mother would. “how did it happen?! tell me everything!”
teethandclxws:
Maia couldn’t help but chuckle - not so much laughing at the girl, laughing more at the situation. “No problem,” she answered, hands on her hips as she looked over the young woman’s work. “And trust me, none of this is normal - it’s understandable for you to miss out on that kinda thing.”
“if only i could convince myself that.” a thankful smile graced her lips as she extended a hand to the other. “i’m lily. you seem like you’ve been here awhile.”
thatdammedelusivepimpernel:
“That does make sense” he replied with a nod. “Although, apparently some of what I was carrying was worth a lot. Probably easier to just buy a business”.
lily pursed her lips in thought. “you’re right, that would be easier. but perhaps you should consider investing it? i don’t know how much you came with, and frankly it’s not my place to ask. but it never hurts to have a little more. especially under these circumstances.”
errvticisms:
Roy paused, running a hand through his hair as he thought about it. “Richard Grayson,” he replied. Sure, it was an in joke, but he still thought it was funny. “Or hey, if you’re worried, you can put down my name. Roy Harper. I’ll be your fake reference.”
lily was definitely missing something. she’d have to remember to ask about it later. but for the time being, she jotted down the second name he mentioned. “lily evans,” she introduced with a smile once she finished writing. “you seem a bit young to be a boss, so..colleague? and thank you for the help. it really does mean a lot.”
intothedarkncss:
“damn, that’s almost as old as my whole family, but then again, we are witches that use spells in order to not age.”
“weird, i’ve never heard of an anti aging spell. every older wizard i know looks about as ancient as merlin himself.
stcfansalvatcre:
Stefan nodded. He understood. She sounded honest enough and the more people who had the chance to help others, he was inclined to help her. “I wanted to be a doctor. It was a childhood dream. The ability of saving lives and making people feel better sounded good to me. But then, I realized I was scared of blood. It’s a phobia I have no control of. So I couldn’t continue with my dream.” He explained, “But you can. Especially if you want to help those affected by the mist. That’s something to be supportive of.”
lily rested her chin in her hand, angling herself towards him as he spoke. all her life was spent chasing her dreams - as her younger years went, whatever those dreams happened to be that week. like a game of leap frog, always hopping from one goal to the next. a world where she wouldn’t be able to do that? completely unimaginable. and from what he was saying, he seemed to miss it as well. one he was done speaking she bit the inside of her lip in thought, her eyes on the application in front of her as she let his words fully sink in. “letting go and finding a new way is sometimes just as hard as pushing forward,” lily finally commented after a moment, looking back up at him. the corners of her lips turn upwards. while she couldn’t relate to that particular scenario, she did understand where he was coming from. “did you make the right choice?” there was no malice or judgement in her voice, the question came from pure curiosity. a beat later she realized exactly what it was she asked. then the guilt crept in. “merlin, sorry, that’s absolutely none of my business. you don’t have to answer that.”

what was the last book you read?
“the journals of susanne moodie by margaret atwood. what it is basically is a compilation of journals written by ‘susanne moodie’ starting when she immigrated to canada in 1832 and ending with her sort of critiquing the twentieth century in 1969 long after her death. it’s actually really interesting because they’re not written like journal entries, but poems. which really makes you think about how everything in life flows into something else, even though we may not see it like that.” lily paused, her lips in a thin line. “i’m rambling again, aren’t i? just tell me to shut up. please.”
do you enjoy singing? what kind of songs?
“i think everyone likes singing. at least a little. i think a better question would be am i any good at it?” she laughed. “which is a no, i’m definitely not. marlene would say otherwise but i think she just wants to break it to me lightly, which is rubbish. as for songs, i really like more upbeat songs. songs that just...makes you want to dance and just let go of everything.”
say three things that make you happy
“wow, only three? uh.. my family is definitely number one, including my cat. next would be...lemon tart cake. and lastly is uh...merlin, this is harder than i thought. i don’t know. rocky horror, i suppose?” lily paused for a moment, thinking over her answers. “yeah, let’s just stick with those for now.”
“you haven’t seen a --” of course lily lost her journal. she was exploring the town with it and the next she was turning the world upside down searching for it. she knew she had it not too long ago! “it’s a red leather book. there's a clasp on the front and the bottom right corner is chewed up a bit. you haven’t seen it, have you?”
LILY EVANS → I used to tell her she ought to have been in my House. Very cheeky answers I used to get back too.
