HELLO
NB is a terrible person with terrible opinions, but what does that have to do with Kol? It's not like they're going to bring back Daniel Sharman and have him be Kol's host body again. As much as I would personally be in favor of that for multiple reasons. Having already used the recast and reverted it makes it unlikely to happen again though. Besides, Legacies is not platforming NB merely by having him on. Kol isn't a mouthpiece for his bad takes.
I totally get where you're coming from, but I also have the opinion that NB has a whole lot to do with Kol. Acting is an artform, and art is a form of self-expression: in any artform ( acting, writing, painting, singing, etc ) I don't personally think that you can separate the artist from the art, not really. But I think this is particularly salient in the case of NB because he's a D-list celebrity at best; he doesn't do much at all in the industry currently. So any time a major network like the CW decides to bring him back, even for a moment, that's putting his name and his face back out there. It might not be a huge and permanent platform, but I bet that there were at least a few people who saw the episode last night, remembered that he existed, and went to his social medias to check what was up with him.
Honestly, I only made my post because it's information that I'm aware isn't widely known. It's one of those things where I've told people in the tvdu and they go "how did I not know any of this before now??" I figured since I did know and since his tag and such was about to be relevant again for like three days, I'l dump the info back in his tag so people could be aware that he hasn't just had hot takes: he's been actively hateful, you know?
Iām not sure if this is the night that Nathaniel Buzolic is supposed to be back on Legacies, but hereās a reminder that he has outright stated that islamophobia is a part ofĀ ābeing a good christian,ā is an outspoken zionist, is currently peddling a trip to israel where people donāt have to be vaccinated, has said that if someone gets pregnant from r//e or i//est that thatāsĀ āgodās way of making the situation better,ā and has advocated for biblical gender roles in all situations.Ā
no hate but do you really think it'd be ok if percy was like blonde or something
No hate felt! Okay, honestly, I genuinely don't think it matters at all. It's not integral to the plot in any way at all, not even tangentially. Percy is described as having the same hair color as his father, but it isn't ultra-important to the plot in any way at all. It's not how he's identified as a child of Poseidon, for example. It's just an atmospheric note provided by RR as a way to immerse you in the world. But since the show is a visual medium, those descriptors really don't matter at all. We will either see the actors by our own eyes, or descriptive captions will provide a new description. By and large, it means less than nothing to the plot. So would I be okay with him not having dark hair? Sure! I'd be okay with him having no hair at all if the actor had the right chops for Percy.
Okay so the actor for the new Percy Jackson was just announced and one of my FB friends said āthey better dye his hair or someoneās gonna dieā and Iām just like??? Honestly? Does it matter? Does it really matter that much? IDK, I feel weird about making this kid sign on to a possible like 5 years of dying his hair or wearing wigs, through his entire teenage life essentially, for an acting gig. I felt the same way when people complained about Alexandra not having Annabethās described blonde hair. Because at the end of the day, does it matter? These physical descriptors were provided, but they do not have any real bearing on the plot. The new actor for Percy naturally has a medium golden-brown hair color: idk if theyāre planning on dying it, but if they donāt does it actually matter? Ā
I'm slightly stressed <3
alright, if ANY of you punks start bullying a THIRTEEN YEAR OLD KID for doing a job on a fictional series itās On Sight
I still canāt believe they canceled JATP and Nick is going to be possessed foreverĀ and weāre not going to know the exact situation going on with the boys and weāre not going to get answers of did Dahlia orchestrate all of this and thatās why dahlias were everywhereĀ and weāre not going to find out if Willy got out alright and weāre not going to find out how Trevobby is handling his full nervous breakdown and āĀ
