Shay’s ears drooped. “I’m…so sorry. That’s horrible. I hate people who steal from others and people who hunt for sport.” she growled, “But at least you managed to save someone.” When the puppy put his paws on her leg, she giggled and ruffled his head fur. “So cute. I’ve been meaning to ask, where are you headed?”

Bjorn sighed as he thought about his pack. "I don't know where... when I was young, I made a friend. They're why I know words at all. She... ran away, I don't know why. So I've been looking for her. It's the closest I have left to a pack now." The pup ran circles around the man for a moment before giving its best pup howl.

Shay gazed at him curiously. “Where did you originally com-” she was about to ask when she saw the tiny wolf pop out. She froze and at first thought about hissing at the dog but he was so tiny, so…cute.

“Aww! Is that your companion? He is adorable!” she exclaimed, rushing over to give the wolf pats on the head.

Bjorn jumped slightly as she reacted to his wolf friend. Instinctually he turned away and got defensive, but he relaxed himself. With a sigh he pulled the pup out. “Sorry I… Yes, I was raised by a pack of wolves and… this little guy is all I have left of that pack… so I get a little protective of him.” The pup sniffed Shay curiously.

The cat girl blinked at him. “You were raised by wolves?” she repeated with a tilt of her head. She could see it, him having beastly characteristics and all. She giggled a bit as the puppy sniffed her then turned back to Bjorn. “What happened to the rest of your pack if I may ask?”

Bjorn looked at the pup sadly for a moment. "They... most of them were killed by city people... only one survived and ran away, so I protected Lucian... I made this pouch from his mom's pelt to hide him from people threats." The pup jumped up, putting its paws on Shay's legs and gave a little bark, his tail wagging.

Zeus watched and rolled his eyes. "Well I wasn't actually going to get in but alright..." he chuckled before walking further into the water, not worried about what he was wearing.

"I am a great many things, funny is usually not one of those things though." He finished his wine before rolling up his pants and walking out into the water.

"I'm guessing humble and modest are two of those things." She finished off her wine and taking off her heels and went in the water. She closed her eyes and the ocean began to dance around her. A soft happy smile formed on her face.

Zeus shook his head "one doesn't need to be humble or modest when they're as amazing as I am." He watched with a small smile as the water danced around her. "I don't know about you but I'm tempted to go for a swim right now."

Zeus finished up his meal and got up to join her. The sun was setting, turning the sky orange. "You know, I always preferred night to daytime. Something about the silence, it's relaxing for me."

"I like how the ocean looks at night. It's like diving into the sky." She said softly. She gazed up at Zeus with a small smile, "thank you for joining me for dinner."

Zeus looked down at her and thought for a moment before looking back out over the ocean. "All I did was provide my awe inspiring presence, you did all the work."

Shay tilted her head at him when the thief came along. She glared at them as they ran off, hissing a little. “Thieves. I hate them.” she growled then turned to Bjorn. “It’s not you. This place can be notorious about bandits. If you want, I can help you get to your next destination if it isn’t far. You’re new here after all and I know the area like the back of my hand!”

Bjorn scratched his head “I uh… don’t really have a destination… I live in the forest. I was just hoping an old friend of mine might be here.” He smiled “what about you, what brought you here?”

The cat girl’s ears drooped. “I…actually live here. I’m able to fight off the bandits should they prowl though. It isn’t the prettiest place, but it is home.” she replied, “I’ve never seen a forest before. As you probably could tell upon coming here, the whole area is surrounded by desert.”

"Always?" Bjorn looked out over the desert and sighed. "Yes... it certainly is a big change to the scenery I'm accustomed to..."

Bjorn got lost in thought staring out over the desert. As he did so, something seemed to move inside the pouch that the thief had tried to take earlier. A moment later, a tiny wolf pup's head popped out of the pouch and started sniffing the air.

Zeus watched the waves and cocked and eyebrow once more. "Interesting... I'm becoming more and more thankful that I asked you to a drink today." He looked at her again. "And as for who said you were my dear, I did. And I think it's only fair I get to decide that after so nobly letting you win despite you trying to give me the win." He winked before continuing to eat.

She laughed warmly, "oh is that so? You've known me less then a day Zeus. What if I said I dont think you should call me dear so early? And who said I allowed you to win? Can you read minds as well?" She asked with mischief in her smile.

He shrugged and looked away teasingly. "you could say it, it wouldn't change anything though..." he scoffed "I don't need to be a mind reader to see that you were too good to accidentally leave yourself open like that..."

Zeus grinned as he noticed her turn red. "So have you always been able to feel other's emotions?" He took a sip of his wine before going in for his first bite.

"Since I can remember, yes." The food was seasoned well and juicy. She was a pretty good cook. "Have you always been able to warm beverages on the go?"

Zeus choked slightly as she asked her question. "I... I'm sorry what?" He set down his fork and held up his hand, a small fireball forming in his palm. "If this is what you're referring to, yes. I've been able to do this for as long as I can remember." He paused for a minute. "Burned my parents house down as I child. By accident of course."

"It was me trying to make a joke since you warmed up my beverage for me." She said with a soft laugh and watched him. She tilted her head softly. "Kind of ironic that we have opposite powers." She then began to eat her meal as well.

Zeus shrugged before something clicked in his mind. "Opposite powers?" He raised an eyebrow and eyed her curiously. "My dear are you hiding something from me?"

Open starter

It was beginning to become night deep in the heart of a forest, wolves could be heard howling, calling to each other. This forest was said to have some sort of guardian in it, but nobody could ever get a good enough look to see what it was...

Sigyn looked up at her. "Where you from Clara?" One of the wolves went over and sniffed Clara curiously.
