Constance: hey, fuck you. it was probably the best day of his life
Constance: how??
Adam: i'm sure it was
Adam: i can be very intimidating when i want to be, and i'll beat him senseless with my cane
chacelangdon:
“—Hey, just a heads up, it’s almost last call. Can I get you another drink?” he questioned, tapping his fingers against the counter. “Maybe get you a cab?”
“Don’t worry, Langdon. I’ve got this guy an uber waiting outside. He’s had far too much.” Adam smirked and lifted the sloppy drinker from his stool. “Want to help me get this joker outside?”
constancelavalle:
“Right? I thought taking yoga would get rid of post-sex cramps, but no dice.” Okay, so, she was really just trying to be able to get one (or both, ideally) of her legs behind her head for no good reason other than thinking it would be cool to do – but she had figured working on being more flexible would go hand in hand with getting in shape. “Eh, well, I’m still undecided on the whole ‘next time’ thing, but I’ll get back to you on it,” she said through a chuckle, wrinkling her nose though she knew he couldn’t see the expression. “You don’t have to,” she murmured, a little unsure of what to say that wouldn’t come out insensitive, because that was her specialty. “I’ll show you where the bedroom is and you can just… lead us there, or something. I’m going to grab a bottle of water. Want anything?” Not waiting for the answer, she pushed out of his arms, ambling to her feet and grabbing her sweater off the floor on the way to the kitchen.
“I’ll do yoga with you next time. Though full disclosure, it may just be an excuse for me to watch you stretch.” Adam wiggled his eye brows at her with a grin. Burying his face in her neck, he tightened his grip on her. “I’d hoped after that you would really want there to be a next time. But my hopes may be too high.” He bit down on the skin of her neck and laughed quietly. As she pushed out of his arms, he let out a quiet whimper and looked up, watching her go. “I’m kind of hungry.”
constancelavalle:
“I’ve tried that. They don’t let you just buy them.” Constance frowned, remembering arguing with the game operator when she was teen about needing the giant pink bear and being pissed he wouldn’t let her simply pay for it. “I definitely wouldn’t mind not experiencing another Canadian winter. Growing up in New Orleans did not prepare me for this.” She pressed her lips in a tight line, thinking about how cold it was outside, thoroughly displeased with the frigid temperature. “I’d be pretty pathetic for still hanging out with you if I hated it, wouldn’t I?”
Adam returned her frown, wondering why carnival workers had to be that uptight. If he did find a winter carnival, he’d either have to get lucky or seriously bribe a game attendant. “I grew up in Vancouver, we didn’t get this cold either. Then I spent ten years in Libya and Afghanistan, not much snow in that part of the world.” He flashed a smile and waved for another drink. Lifting it once it was delivered, he took a long sip. “How was growing up in New Orleans?” He couldn’t help but want to know more about her. “True, and how could you resist?”

Constance: in that case, maybe you can take a picture of my next classy nude for me
Constance: i paid my neighbor to do the cello one and now he gets this pained look whenever he sees me
Constance: it's starting to get really weird
Adam: please, let me do it from now on
Adam: save that poor bastard from torture
Adam: I could get him to knock it off
jakebennett:
Jake looked over at him with a smirk. “You only like her, no one else so naturally, she’s your girl. Simple math there Bauer.” He shot a tease his way along with a goofy grin. “It means what it means. I guess I don’t plan on looking for a while, that’s all.” He admitted, his statement true, but just missing a few details.
“Simple math.” Adam repeated, returning his best friend’s smirk. “Okay, well if you’re going to avoid talking to me, I am gonna put on some entertainment.” He teased and reached over for the remote. “Tell me why you don’t plan on looking? Don’t tell me you’re going celibate on me. I don’t think I could survive that.”
madeline-thorpe:
“Alright, you’ve been sitting here for almost an hour. Are you here to just keep that seat warm or are you actually going to order something?”
“Please stop teasing, I’m aware I haven’t done any actual work tonight, but my leg hurts. Take pity on me.”
jakebennett:
Jake made a clicking noise with his tongue while giving a short wave which was his playful way of saying you’re welcome. He then reached for another beer, cracking it open, and enjoying a long sip. “We’re young at heart.” He said with a smirk. “Maybe you should talk to your girl about that. If she’s open to it down the road, at least that option will still be there with her.” Jake patted his friend on the shoulder, hoping that his action would act as reassurance. Adam was one of the good guys and he deserved the best, eventually everything will fall in place for him. Jake was certain of that. At his next question, he cleared his throat and scratched the back of his neck. “Not exactly.” Jake mumbled, taking another swig to avoid answering the question any further.
Adam let out a low laugh at the gesture and let his head rest against the back of the couch, completely at ease. “My girl.” He scoffed, though it was lighthearted. At some point he would have to because he would be lying if he said he didn’t desperately want to know. He let out a breath and folded his arms over his chest as their conversation continued. “Not exactly? And what does that mean, Bennett?”

Sienna: and you think I'm going to ruin that? How rude big brother.
Sienna: Nope. I hate carnivals, you know that. I always feel like the rides are going to collapse.
Sienna: we are not going on a double date.
Adam: you might scare her off, we're not together or anything like that - I don't even know if she wants that
Adam: good thing i'm not taking YOU to the carnival
Adam: i didn't mean a double date, you just reminded me I want to go paintballing

Constance: well, see, if the picture was too much, i couldn't possibly torture you by giving you a show in person
Adam: it's the good kind of torture
Adam: :)
constancelavalle:
“Hmm, well… I was awful at them,” she responded with a laugh, “which means, if we go to a carnival, you’re going to be responsible for winning me all the teddy bears I want.” She tilted her head to the side, grinning, and let out a snort. “Oh, definitely. Let’s go for it. We can retire in the Bahamas once the restaurant takes off.” When he leaned forward, she pushed up on her toes to meet him halfway, smiling against his lips. “You’re right. That’s pretty much all I need to have a good time.”
“I don’t think I have any problem with that. And if all else fails, I’ll buy you the biggest one they’ve got.” The smug smile was almost unbearable with how happy that made him. Adam laughed quietly with her, imagining it despite the ridiculousness of the idea. “Retiring to the Bahamas is a nice idea. Get away from the cold again.” He pretended to shiver, pulling her closer because of it. “I’m glad you admit it. I’d be a little sad if you never had a good time with me.”
constancelavalle:

“Stupid cramps.” He cursed under his breath, though loud enough that she would hear. Adam wrapped his arms tighter around her waist as she settled back against him, closing his eyes as the sated feeling flowed over his body. “I’m hoping there’s going to be a next time, and they always say confidence is key.” His fingers tapped lightly against her stomach in response to her own little light touches. “I did really like you doing all the work. It was a great view.” He admitted with a low chuckle, tightening his grip as if she would move away from him because of that. “I don’t like to bring attention to my leg.” It was probably the most straight forward and honest he had been with her, but now that he’d said it, he didn’t regret it. “It’s a weakness I don’t want to acknowledge.” But it was getting worse despite all the doctor’s efforts to reverse the damage.
jakebennett:
“I’m in the mood for whatever you want.” Jake expressed with a nod. He would eat anything that was put in front of him. “Yeah I know. She deserves to have that perfect family, but I don’t know if I want that. At least not right now.” Ever since he was little, he always lived for adventure. Whenever he pictured his life, it never involved a house in the suburbs with a wife and 2.5 kids. “You really really like this girl then?” For Adam to say something like that made it clear that it was serious.
“Burgers and fries it is! Thanks for agreeing, babe.” Adam grinned and pulled out his phone, quickly ordering some food to be delivered. He used this app way too much. His head leaned back on the couch as he let his phone drop back on his lap, listening to Jake talk. “We’re still young. Ish.” He snickered and shrugged his shoulders. “I think I do, I mean I don’t know what I want, but at the same time I want to know that things are open for that, y’know? I don’t know what to do.” He let out a breath and closed his eyes. “Does this mean we’re going out on the hunt for some hot tail for you?”

Sienna: you're boring
Sienna: carnivals... interesting idea. I'm taking Holly to lazer quest, or rollerblading, or paintball. I haven't decided yet.
Adam: nope, i just want to savor whatever i have with her
Adam: yeah, any help?
Adam: paintball for sure. wait i wanna do that

“Mhm. And were you one of those kids who was unfairly amazing at them, winning all the prizes?” She stepped closer when he tightened his arm around her, effectively eliminating any space between them, her smile bright as she looked up at him. “That’s such a beautiful business model. I seriously love whoever came up with it.” She shrugged her shoulders, humming through her closed lips. “Since it’s winter, I doubt that’s going to happen. Unless you want to wait a few months for our date.”
“Mm maybe.” He answered, trying his best to look as innocent as possible. He’d always been an athletic kid and may have used that to his advantage. Adam laughed quietly at her love of the business plan. “Maybe we open a restaurant like that. Make millions.” He smirked widely and leaned forward to kiss her briefly as she hummed. “I don’t want to wait. I’ll figure out something good. If anything, you’ve got me so where can you go wrong?”
