Knowing me knowing you
Stacey followed Adam toward the car and let him be the one to open the door. He already had it open before she had the chance to imagine that someone had rigged the car with explosives and it would blow them to kingdom come the moment the door clicked.
It wasn’t a stupid thought. She had seen worse.
The car didn’t explode. “Anything stirring your memory?” She asked, hanging back unsure of what to do right now. This was all kinds of awkward for her. Especially the part where Adam didn’t know her, or know what they had shared.
Adam rifled through the glove box, and frowned. "Nothing." He finally said. "Apparently I rented the car in Denver, Colorado. Makes sense since my licence is from the area. And I drove it here..."
He sat in the driver's seat staring out the windshield for a few long moments before he turned his head towards Stacey. "When we were together, did we live in Denver?" He had no idea if he had moved at some point or if he had stayed where he had been since before the break up.
