 Adam was in the locker room and it had been almost a week since Kim kissed him out of the blue. Well, it wasn’t like it wasn’t expected to happen. He liked her there was no lying about that, he just didn’t think she’d actually do it and go for it. However she did and Adam still couldn’t get over it. He felt like he was on cloud nine, but for her it was different and Adam could tell. He wanted so badly to talk to her about it, but knew that now wasn’t the time. The young Detective waited for her in the locker room and smiled softly when he saw her standing in front of him “Hi.” He said awkwardly, he felt like a teenage boy in love all over again “I um.. can we talk.” Adam looked at the brunette and swallowed hard “About the kiss..” He leaned his arm up against one of the lockers and looked at her “Its been a week and I kind of need to know where your head is at. You didn’t need to run off like that” 

Kim had been avoiding talking to Adam. After the kiss that she sprang on him she wasn’t sure how he was going to react. When she walked into the locker room she saw Adam and sighed. “Hi.” She started as she tried to keep walking to her locker but was stopped as he kept speaking. “Where my head is at?” She asked him. Kim hadn’t exactly thought it through when she kissed him. She just knew she liked him so she let her emotions get the best of her with that kiss. “Adam…” She started and paused. “I like you. That’s where my head is.” She shrugged.

Whatever he and Burgess had, Adam liked it and he was starting to like her, he was falling hard and fast for her but Adam didn't mind one bit. She was perfect, to him she was perfect and he'd be lying if he told her that the kiss meant nothing because it did. After everything that happened between him and his ex fiance, Adam wasn't really looking but Kim came into his life and the young officer wanted nothing more than to kiss her again. As soon as she said hi back, he blushed a little as he couldn't help at how cute she was and Adam scratched the back of his head. "This is one crazy case." He said quietly, trying not to be as awkward as he already was but then looked at her. God she was beautiful he thought to himself and took a deep breath "Yeah. I want to know what.. what you're feeling. I don't.. the kiss kind of took me by surprise." He said almost honestly and then Adam smiled softly, there it was. He knew he could pull it out of her, and Adam moved a little closer to her and whispered "I like you too." He pulled her into a hug and let his chin rest onto her head "I don't know what this is between us but I like you too, and I know you know that. I also really want to kiss you again." He said quietly and then let go of her “You maybe want to grab a drink or come over for a microwave dinner, or something like that after this case is done?”

Kevin was sitting on his desk, currently going through the files that he had gotten on Mrs. Layn and so far nothing had caught his attention. She seemed to be a pretty average woman who owned a pretty average business but he knew he had to keep digging and dig deeper. Sighing, he stood up from his desk, deciding to take a quick coffee break and headed towards the common area, where he went and grabbed a mug, pouring some coffee into it. It was going to be a long day.

This case was all over the place to say the least, but Adam knew he and his team would figure it out sooner or later. It was a big explosin and Adam hasn't done a case like this in what feels like forever, he tried to put all the pieces together and so far he had a few ideas that could've caused the offender to start the bom explosion on the first place. Sitting at his desk, he was getting lost within his thoughts and followed Atwater into the common room. "If you're making coffee, I would love you forever if you made me some too." He said joking, but was being half serious "How are you and Upton doing on these files?" He questioned, folding his arms across his chest and waited for the pot to turn on.

“Well, that was one hell of a call.” Desmond mumbled more to himself, taking off the helmet from his head as he jumped off the truck after they arrived at the firehouse. Desmond took off his coat, letting it hang on the truck’s door before walking deeper into the house, heading towards the common room. “Would you like some coffee?” He asked, turning his head to the person next to him.

Ruzek had already been at 51 asking some questions regarding the case they had just picked up. He was sitting with Kidd when Upton came along and he nodded his head "It was chaotic that's for sure, glad you guys got back alright." He said truly and then nodded his head "Yes please, coffee would be grate. I just have a few more questions for you guys, the scene was too busy to ask there, figured I'd make a pit stop here."

 Adam had known Judson for quite sometime now and it was always nice to see him at the Distric. He was sitting in the locker rooom when the other male came in and Adam looked at his friend "This case is intense, this poor lady probably had nothing to do with this. How are you holding up man?" He questioned, and then took a deep breath "Looks like we'll be here all weekend trying to figure this one out, you got any other plans?"

“there we go!” after a hell of a call, things are always put in perspective. when she’s on full fire gear and on scene, stella is sharp focused and will do anything to save whoever needs saving. but after it all worked out? you have to put it aside and what better than a good cup of coffee and cronuts? “for that alone, you owe me a whole box of cronuts. any topping, i’m not picky.”

adam watched stella jump up in excitment and he couldn't help but let out a laugh. the man looked at her and then smiled softly "cronuts aren't my favorite, but thank you. i'll but you two boxes, does that sound good?" he questioned, and took a bite of one then put it down "heard the call was pretty crazy, the scene was a shit show." he never really found himself at the firehouse, but lately hes been visiting from time to time and adam didn't mind it.

“Yeah, you’re telling me. I practically had to chug my morning coffee in the ambo on the way to the call.” Gabby chuckled, resting a hand on her hip. Their day had certainly had an adventurous start. Not one that she enjoyed in the least. Not when it came to people getting hurt. But it was an unfortunate part of the job, and they all had to keep rolling with the punches. “How ‘bout you, are you hanging in?”

Adam had been up on at the crack of dawn, not being able to sleep so he was one of the first ones to the scene. It was chaoticand hectic to say the least, but as he was at Med checking up with some of the Surgeons and Doctors that were assigned to these cases, he spoted Anotnio's sister and smiled softly "Sorry you had to chug your coffee, that's never the easiest thing to do. Coffee should always be enjoyed first thing in the morning." He said smiling, and then nodded his head "I'm doing good, just trying to understand how and why this whole damn mess started."

Adam Thomas Ruzek was born on July 16th back in 1993 to Robert Ruzek "Bob" who was a dedicated plice officer, and to Renee Ruzek (nee' Watson) who was an English teacher for the local high school. Born and raised in Canaryville, Chicago he had somewhat of a good childhood growing up. He has an older sister whom he's very close too, and when they were young his parents divorced.

The divorce had a little bit of an impact on Adam as he kept going back and forth from his mom's to his dads's, but eventually chose to live and be with his father as Adam was super close with him and his sister chose to live & be wit his mother.

He eventually formed a close realtionship with his sister but not with his mom as he realized his mom cheated on his father. Adam idolized his father growing up, and it was in his blood to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a cop as well.

Adam played baseball and basketball while growing up, he always felt like the odd one out at school as he had bright red hair that was terribly died for no reason, and the man would never admit it but he actually liked school and got really good grades. However when he graduated high school Adam went straight into the academy wanting to be just like his father. While being in the academy, he had met & fallen in love with Wendy and got engaged, however the two recently just broke up and ended things.  

He did good in the academy and it wasn't until one day that the Alvin Olinsky came to his academy trying to scope out one kid to join the unit for an undercover gig. Al’s eyes landed on Adam and hand picked Adam. He was grateful as Adam realized that Al and Hank both worked & served with his father so he felt like he had a chance. Being choppy in the beginning, Adam has learned and is learning the ropes. He’s been here for a year now.
