Hagert Ranch (Hangmans Ranch)
New to my new condo in my new town starting my new job I was eager to meet new friends. The area is newly developed outside a big city that was consuming many small farms and ranches, one ranch stood firm - Hagert Ranch also know as 'Hangman's Ranch'. The story goes that more than a couple dozen men have been hanged at the ranch mostly cattle ruslers.
Early one morning I was working out at our condos gym and saw three other young guys one with unusual red marks on the side of his neck. The other was smaller cute guy but loud and talkative. I tried to avoid it but I was embarrassed that I was caught staring at the third guy. He had a great body (great abs) and square jaw. Under his chin was tight as a drum with a cute adamsapple and awesome smile-very handsome. Once as I was caught staring he looked directly at me and smiled. I turned red and nodded back then I left and went into the sauna to avoid more embarrassment. Not long after he came in with a towel around his waist. He smiled and said "hi, I was hoping you were in here ". I smiled back and said "Hey, I'm sorry you caught me staring at you".
He replied : "you're cute so it's OK. I'm Cody".
We shook hands "I'm Adam"
He had what looked like a snowball in his hand and he was rubbing it on his body.
He shows me "coconut oil, It's good for your skin let me show you."
He reached and just started rubbing the ball on my left shoulder and arm. Then with his hand wet with the melted oil he sensually rubbed it on my neck and collarbone. His thumb rolled over my adamsapple a couple of times. I saw him tent his towel - as did I. After a couple of minutes he pointed out how much more you sweat on the side that had the oil. He then oiled my other side again with extra attention to my neck, shoulders and collarbone.
We stayed a while and talked for as long as I could tolerate the heat. Though not a big guy I liked how he talked, direct and confident. He was comfortable in his skin and though he had a right to be pretentious with a body like his he was humble and mild mannered. Veins in his neck buldged as we tolerated the heat and I found myself staring again. Finally I had to get out of the heat hoping that we would meet again.
Running around town I grabbed a bite to eat at a nearby cafe. A cute teenage guy sat near and ordered his meal. I started a simple chat and asked him about various places around town. He asked where I lived. I told him near Hagert Ranch. He laughed "you mean Hangmans Ranch". I asked what he meant. He told me of stories of guys that have been hanged there over the years "it's like it's cursed there. Now they hang each other like a game. Every once in a while you will see someone that works there with red marks on their neck ". This made me think of the guy in the gym with the similar marks on his neck.
A week later back in the condo's gym I see Cody and the same two guys with him. I said hi and asked Cody if he was going to the sauna after. He said he was and we planned to chat there. I was in there for a few minutes when he walked in fully naked. He had a small container of coconut oil in his hand.
I said: "I brought my own this time."
He took the ball from my hand and sat behind me. He started rubbing it on my shoulders and arms and back. With the melted oil he pulled my head back and rubbed my throat. He was talking about something as he worked the oil into my skin making me gag a couple of times. His hands were rough and strong from obvious manual labor on the ranch. I asked him what kind of work he was into.
"I'm a hand over at the Hagert Ranch." His hands slowed while still around my neck. I said "I could tell you work with your hands."
He put his hands on my shoulders and said "sorry they are so rough."
I said "No, they feel good on my skin. You want me to rub it on you?"
He climbed down to my level and said "that would be awesome I never had it rubbed on me before."
I got up on the bench behind him and did it exactly how he did with me, when I got to his neck he tilted his head back ready for a massage. I was a little reluctant as I had his throat in my hand I didn't know how fragile a guys throat was. I started out easy then stronger, it didn't seem to matter to him -I was so hard, I could feel him humming with my finger tips, I almost lost it when I felt his throat rumble through my fingers as he swallowed. His neck and shoulders were like an amusement park for my hands.
I told him "it would feel better if my hands were rough like yours”. He had two parallel bulging veins on the side of his neck that I often thought of in bed and finally I got a chance to feel them on my finger tips. Then I turned his head slightly to the side that exposed the muscle connected to the collar bone (mastoid) rhythmically pulling it and making his head rock.
Then like in many of my worst nightmares his friends came in and sat opposite from us. Both of us naked and hard but they seemed completely oblivious to it. I don't know what they were talking about but it was a little intense. I remember hearing one say "Sean's neck is awesome it would be awesome to see him go for a ride". I grabbed my towel and sat back on the lower level. Cody didn't cover himself as he made it clear to them to keep the subject to themselves. We both lost the feeling and relaxed in the heat. I did noticed the red lines on his buddies long neck had cleared but couldn't find a way to bring it up.
Meeting in the sauna was becoming a common occurrence for us. Cody often rinsed in the shower and came into the sauna naked so I always tried to beat him in - he always made a great entrance. This one occasion he came in and stood in front of me and began to oil me up. He got his hands around my neck and said "your neck is the perfect size for my hands". He slowly squeezed until I gasped and gagged and started to reach. I actually started to shake a bit and my vision blurred. When I got fully conscious he was holding me steady to prevent me from falling. He laughed and was fully erect,
I noticed I was too. He said "I'm glad we both enjoy the same thing".
I told him "I have been meaning to ask you about the rumor about the Ranch”. He interrupted and said "I would love to tell you but it's kinda dangerous for me to talk about it" - I didn't ask again.
On one occasion his buddies came in the sauna and told Cody that "Scott is here”. Cody looked surprised and said "He came alone?"
Cody wrapped his towel around his waist and they all rushed out. I peeked out and saw them talking to two guys in serious conversation. After about 10 minutes Cody came back in the sauna. He said "sorry, just a very delicate conversation".
His buddies came in talking to each other. Cody joined their conversation "OK, if he shows up at 3:00 then we will know."
His friend Trever, a cute small guy you wouldn't expect to see working on a ranch says "will they allow Sean to watch?"
Cody gave him a look that says - ‘shut up’. Then Trevor says to the other friend louder than he thought "so if he gets all the way to the ranch do we hang him anyway?"
Cody slams his hand on the bench. Trevor realizes that I heard him. Cody orders them both out. Through the window I see Trevor cover his face in fear. Cody returned alone.
"OK, you heard too much. Let's go have a beer and I can explain."
We showered and changed and went to a local pub. We got a table in the corner and ordered a couple of beers. Cody's face got serious and he looked me intensely in the eye and his veins bulging.
"I been wanting to tell you about this anyway, I hope I don't scare you off."
I said " I don't scare easily."
He took a drink of his beer then got comfortable in his seat.
"The tall guy you saw in the shower room was caught along with his cousin and little brother topping over one of the cows on the ranch. The cow broke a few ribs and we had to put it down. The ranch will lose about $2,500 over the year from loss of milk production. And these cow’s meat don’t sell like beef you find at a market or restaurant. We won't do anything to his little brother because he's under 18 but his birthday is in six months. We know his cousin so he can be held responsible if we catch him. But this is the second time Scott has done this. So we will make him a deal that he knows the ranch is known for - Hanging."
I tried not as to look as shocked as I felt.
We both reached for our beers to let thought sink in.
He continued : "of course he won't hang to death, max 30 seconds, no one has died on the ranch in over 30 years."
I had a feeling of relief and drank my beer. I said "so if he shows up he will hang?"
"Well, he can say no up until his hands are tied behind his back, after that he will hang. We call it ‘Going for a Ride’ and I know he doesn't have $2,500."
He said "I'm the facilitator, it's my job to broker the deal. The guy he was with, Sean, he and I grew up together since 1st grade. Sean and I were both offered to join the ranch five years ago. He didn't want to join but he knows what goes on there."
By this time we needed another beer.
After the waitress brought our beer I asked him "if he chooses to be hanged then his brother and cousin are off the hook?"
"Yes, but he has to be hanged in a noose.”
“What other way is there to be hanged?” I asked
“It’s called the ‘Russian Tie’, the rope is wrapped around your neck twice and a knot tied above your adamsapple. It’s safer and you can hang longer since most of your body weight is on the back of your neck, the noose is much more aggressive and torturous. This is a one time deal If he says no before his hands are tied then we will take him back and give him two days grace. After that his cousin and little brother are fair game, well when his brother turns 18, I would enjoy hanging that little shit."
I asked how many deals like this he brokered.
"This is the first time externally from the ranch."
He said : “I know this is all new and strange to you but I’ve been gauging you and think you might just enjoy what I enjoy, would you want to come to watch? You can stay with me for the weekend on the ranch”." The thought of watching a hot guy hang made me reposition in my seat from getting hard which was surprising to me.
I said "I don't want you to get in trouble by bringing me but if it's OK then - Sure ."
He said " The rules are very strict and talking about the ranch is like talking about 'fight club'. On Friday a crew will pick up Scott by the market if he decides to show up. Sean will probably join him to witness."
Cody seemed happy and relieved that I would want to watch.
"See, I told you I don't scare easily."
He smiled and said "I will pick you up about noon Friday and give you a tour of the ranch. We drank more beer and talked about various subjects but my mind kept coming back to watching someone go for a 'Ride'.
On Friday it was already hot by noon. Cody was right on time to pick me up. Cody seemed distracted as we drove. I asked if it was still OK for me to watch. He said "oh, yeah not a problem. I talked to Sean, he says Scott plans on being there at 3:00”.
I asked “Sean and Scott are close friends, he’s ok watching him hang?”
“Sean has seen guys hang before so he knows what to expect.”
Sean was really... Ah never mind, it's a long story." It made me wonder what was up with him and Sean.
We got to the ranch and after I put my bag in his room he showed me around. The house was like a huge hacienda. Big pool and a hot tub that could fit 20 people. The regular cowboys that worked on the ranch stayed mostly out in the fields and a big boarding house for them. Inside there was a main room that was set up what looked like a court room. Cody said there will be a mini trial for Scott. Some of the rooms had monitors playing hangings from movies and television and pictures of guys being hanged. Then he took me to the barn where Scott would go for a ride. In the middle of the was a beam about 18 feet up with an eye-bolt drilled in. A tractor was parked near by and a three step utility stool with a small platform-step. Cody took me to it and said "climb up there." I Don't know why but I did, it was just three steps high so I couldn't see anything different. Then he said "imagine now that you are up there with your hands tied behind your back and that your feet won't reach the ground". Then I realized what it was for, the look on my face must have been comical. He laughed as I speedily stepped down. He said "more than a few started their ride from there.” He took me over to the back of the barn and what looked like the bars of a jail. The inside was a small room they called 'the box', a small waiting room. He said “this is where they will take you and have you change and check your vitals.”
We heard that Sean and Scott have arrived and joined everyone in the main room. Three guys sat at a big table and about 15 guys sat at various couches and chairs. Then they brought in Sean and Scott and one of the guys at the tables started the hearing. He asked
"Scott, are you here at your own free will". - "YES”
"You acknowledge and take responsibility for causing more than $2,500 in damage to the Hagert Ranch?"-"Yes"
" Do you understand that by accepting the sentence you will be hanged by your neck as described to you in the video that was previously shown to you?” - “Yes”
By accepting the sentence of this tribunal all costs and accountability will be nullified so long as you comply entirely" - "Yes "
"This offer is a one time offer and you have up until your hands are tied to say 'No' to the process” -"Yes I understand."
The three confered with each other. After three minutes the chairman began : “We concur that you Scott having turned yourself in and have accepted responsibility for your actions have determined that you are sentenced to hang from your neck for 20 seconds of a maximum 30 second sentence to be executed at exactly 5:00 pm without appeal. We are adjourned “
Sean put his hand on his shoulder and said “You can do 20 seconds easy.”
Everyone stood up as they took Scott away. My heart was racing and I looked at Cody. "So what happens now?"
Cody :"He will sign the transcripts and other legal documents then they will let him use the bathroom. Then he will stay in the 'box',"
Cody and I went to the bar and got a strong drink. After they put Scott in the 'Box’ Cody took me over and introduced me to him I shook his hand through his cell bars : “sorry I have to meet you like this.” I said. Scott : “maybe we can have a beer sometime there will be lots to talk about.”
Then Cody asked Scott if he was OK, Scott was red and sweating but otherwise seemed OK. Sean asked Cody what would happen if Scott objected at this time. Cody explained that they would take them back and the deal would be voided. If there was another deal it would require two hangings of those responsible.
Sean : "So his cousin or his little brother?"
Cody :"unless there's is a substitute" Cody pulled on Sean's collar.
Sean turned red and turned his head away - I thought that was a nice option.
At 4:30 from the other side of the box two guys went in and asked one last time "are you still willing to proceed?” - Scott said "yes"
They had Scott remove his shirt and did a mini medical exam. Then they gave him a 5 minute "contemplation period." That's when Cody went to Sean and took him to the side. Sean had a strange look as Cody talked. Sean face turned red and his arms crossed. He nodded a couple of times before Cody walked away from him.
Then things started to happen. They let Sean into the box with Scott as they bind his hands, this was the point of no return. They could see from the box as they threaded the rope through the eye-bolt in the beam. They losely attached it to the hitch on the tracker. They positioned the three step stool offset from the dangling noose. A stand-in got up on the platform of the stool and they put the noose around his neck. They took up the slack in the rope and made a mark on the rope next to the hitch. I would have volunteerd to be the stand-in. Guys started coming into the barn to get a good spot to watch the hanging. Hot and humid most were shirtless. I took off my shirt and noticed I was the only one without a farmers tan. With everyone lined up they brought Scott out and led him to the stool. Sean came and stood by Cody and me. Cody told him "if you interrupt or interfear at all we will have to hang you too".
Sean looked at Cody "I know the rules".
They got Scott up on the platform of the stool. The hangman wore a hood and a leather kilt and stood on a bale of hay as he took the noose and put it over Scotts head. An official read the warrant imposing the punishment of hanging for 20 seconds. Scott stood up there, sweat rolling down his chest and abs with ridgged defience. The hangman adjusted the noose above his adamsaplle and made it snug. Scott’s abs betrayed his calm demeanor.Just one minute to go they pulled the bail of hay away from in front of the stool. At exactly 5:00 the hangman tugged on the rope and Scott’s body slowly fell forward. You could hear as the rope stretched and a little grunt as his full body weight was held by the noose. His feet were just inches from the ground each time he passed and one of his boots went flying. His abs tight and head tilted to the side as he strangled in the noose. His body slowly spun around giving everyone a good view of his body as it struggled and twisted. His hands clenched behind his back as the noose tightened. Just before the time was up his body went limp. Four guys got into position to catch his wet body as they lowered him down. I think I may have held my breath the entire time he hanged. They quickly loosened the noose and cut it off the long rope leaving the noose loose around his neck. I didn't know it at the time but peeling the rope off his neck later helps prevent deeper marks. They put his limp body on a gurney and took him inside the house for recovery followed by Sean and Cody.
Not knowing anyone else I grabbed a a stiff drink like the others and just strolled around trying to comprehend that I just saw someone hang. Trevor came and stood next to me : "what did you think of the hanging?"
He asked "so are you going to join us here at the ranch?"
I asked "what does that entail?"
He said "oh, I thought Cody talked to you about it already. I better keep quiet next time I get caught talking about the ranch I will be hanged like Scott with a noose." I asked him if any of the guys here have been hanged before.
"Yes, all of us. Not with a noose".
Then he realized that again he said too much.
He said "I hope you join."
My curiosity was maxed out.
Cody returned with a drink and said “Scott is going to be alright. A little bruising and a prominent red line across his throat that will disappear before tomorrow, He should be out here in a soon."
I asked Cody if any of the guys here have been hanged.
Cody : "all of them, part of initiation. But not with a noose. It's a 20 second ride with the Russian Tie. Want to see the video of my hanging!"
Trevor follows us in, Cody finds the video in the library of CDs. We stood in front of the big screen making his hanging look near life size. They got him up on the platform and tied the rope around his neck. They tugged on the rope pulling him off the stool. His head pulled back as the rope slowly squeezed. One of his boots also flying off as his body swong. It wasn’t as intense as Scott’s hanging but he was still hanging by his neck.
Trevor : "This method is safer and more tolerable and recovery is quicker. The noose is much more aggressive and is for guys that violate the rules."
I asked Trevor if I could see his hanging, Trevor smiled "sure"
Cody popped it in. In the video Trevor looked scared but it was so hot watching his cute body going for a ride. It was different in that they pulled him up off the ground. His feet searching for the ground and every muscle in his small body tensed. For 30 seconds trevor strangled off the ground. I thanked Trevor for letting me watch his hanging and he said “I hope you join us”.
Then Cody asked me to go join him in the hot tub. We grabbed a drink then over to the pool and hot tub. Cody dropped his shorts on the floor he was fully erect which caused a sympatatic response. He walked into the hot tub and he seemed in a playful mood. He pushed me on to a seat. He rubbed my legs and looked up at me. "I'm glad you weren't scared off, I'm getting to enjoy having you around."
I put my hands on his neck "I always enjoyed playing with your adamsaplle". I played with it then wrapped my hands around his neck and gently squeezed.
"How tight does it get when you hang?” as I squeezed. I relaxed my grip and he said "it's intense, much more than you could ever squeeze with your hands."
With my hands still around his throat he said "Don't be scared what I'm going to ask you. " I took a deep breath "OK"
I felt him swallow in my hands "Let me hang you."
My hands tighten around his neck he gagged as he said “Then you can come whenever there's a hanging or if we just want to get together here."
I squeezed his neck tight.
"When would this happen?"
Cody gurguled "tonight, 10:00 pm"
"So less than 4 hours from now?" I let go of his neck leaving nice marks on his neck.
Cody cleared his throat "I know it's short notice but you have seen what it is like and I know you don't scare easily."
I said "I have been choked out a couple of times but this is a whole new level."
Cody:"We would be at a whole new level. You are already here and with Monday a holiday you will recover with time to spare. You don't have to say yes, just don't say no. But like Scott, once your hands are tied behind your back you will be hanged."
I was so hard at the thought of being hanged, by not saying no it was understood that I was considering it. How bad could it be if all those guys have been hanged before?
Being hard as he rubs me makes deciding difficult. What am I getting myself into.
He let them make the announcement for a 10:00PM hanging.
Trevor came back in "I was hoping you would join."
I said "I don't know what I'm getting into but it's exciting."
I went back and put on my shorts. When I came out two guys asked me to join them at the big table. They explained everything and showed me a short video before having me sign a release form and a confidentiality agreement.
"This doesn't commit you to anything you will be asked 20 minutes before 10:00 if you’re still in agreement after that they will tie your hands behind your back and you Will be hanged.
They brought in Cody and explained that they have a lottery once a year, after I joined I would have one year that my name would not be in the lottery. After that it would be possible to hang from a noose if choosen - Unless you could bring in a new recruit.
Cody : “In full disclosure I was selectsd by the lottery and if you choose to continue I won't have to hang in the noose."
I asked:"so all along you were trying to recruit me to avoid the noose?"
Cody "I hope you don't see it that way. I really wanted you to join so we can spend more time together but I have been trying to find someone so that I can avoid the noose.”
Suddenly I felt uncomfortable, I finished signing the papers and asked Trevor to join me for a drink. We went to the bar and ordered a couple of shots. After the shots I asked him “when I saw the video of your hanging you seemed really scared and confused." Trevor said "when I joined the rules were different and loose. Back then they would get you drunk and have you sign some papers. Next thing I knew my hands were tied behind my back and I had a rope around my neck. They pulled my off the ground and I hanged for 30 seconds. The guy that brought me left six months later"." I asked "you didn't know before you got here that they planned on hanging you?"
Trevor :"Well, I heard guys have been hanged but I didn't think anyone would want to see me hang. He just wanted to avoid the noose for himself and left in six months. Now I am glad I joined but it was scary at the time."
I said :"So I would be saving Cody from the noose. If I decide not to hang when will they hang Cody?"
Trevor :"He had two months to find a recruit so on the last Friday of the month at 10:00 pm. To be honest when he first met you that is what he wanted but later he said that you were too nice a guy and he didn't want you to have to choose. We told him that he could have both and he should let you decide. I know that if you choose not to be hanged he will be OK with it."
We went back to where Cody and now Scott and Sean were.
Cody :"Yes, I will be hanged in the noose if you don't join but mostly I will miss not having you around."
The thought of saving Cody from the noose made it even more erotic.
Sean asked me :"Did they talk you into joining?" He looked at my neck :"your neck will be able to take it you should go for it"." He gently squeezed my shoulder then the side of my neck.
That surprised me, I thought Sean was against it. He looked at Cody with a strange smile. I asked Sean "if they hang me at 10:00 will you stay and watch?"
Sean looked at Scott, Scott nodded.
I think that is when I decide to join.
Just an hour now before my scheduled hanging. Two guy said they had to escort me to the 'Box'.
I went with them and sat in the cell wondering "what I was getting myself into, who in their right mind lets someone hang them?" Cody and trevor came to the bars to see if I was ok. More guys coming to meet the new 'recruit'. I pictured each of them with a noose around their neck. And once a member you can watch the video of their hanging. I can't wait to hear their stories of how they got recruited.
I could see them threading the rope through the eye-bolt in the beam and setting the steps. The bale of hay for Cody to stands on.
I asked Cody "Am I the first guy you have hanged?"
Cody :”Yes, but I have practiced putting the rope around other guys necks to be ready for this."
Then two guys came into the cell. I striped to my boxers and they gave me an exam. Didn't take much to pass just blood pressure and heart rate and feel my neck for any abnormalities. I looked out through the bars and saw the noose dangling. They had me strip and put on loose fitting gym shorts. With 20 minutes to go they came in and asked if I was still in agreement. I nodded yes and they tied my hands behind my back. I felt myself get hard and in the gym shorts it was obvious. He said "don't be embarrassed it happens to all of us."
I knew there was no going back now. Everyone grabs a beer or drink of choice and get a good place around the noose to watch. It was still hot and sweat was building on my body and I feel myself breathing fast and deep. I thought I would be more embarrassed to be obviously aroused in front of everyone but now it didn't seem to matter.
Two muscled guys come to escort me to the my hanging. By now sweat is rolling down my chest and abs. As I pass by Scott I look at the red line on his neck. Lots of jeering and laughter as I pass by the onlookers. Cody standing next to the steps wearing the Hangmans Hood and leather kilt looked so hot on him. As I passed Trevor he says "going to be OK, it will be over quick."
They get me up the three steps and Cody stands on the bail of hay in front of me. They pull the noose over to Cody and unties it. With three minutes to go he put the rope around my neck twice and let's it sit on my shoulders. This gives me a chance to look at those below enjoying the view and music. I look down and realize that my feet won't reach the ground but I don't have any feeling of regret. One minute before Cody adjust the rope around my neck above my adamsapple. He makes it snug and tells me "thanks for saving me from the noose, I owe you." That made me feel as if I was going to hang for a worthy cause. He gets down and the bail is remove from in front of me. I swallow hard and hurt my adamsapple. I see Trevor and he smiles at me, Sean has a slight smile and obvious buldg. I feel my pulse on the rope and fell a gentle tug as they take up the slack.
It pulls my head back slightly that I can no longer look down. I heard a drum roll and when it stopped I feel the rope pull me forward with nothing to stop me. As my feet leave the platform the rope tightens and my body flies through the air. I hear myself grunt then just the sounds of the guys cheering and music blaring. I can only see the beam above and the rope holding me. Swinging and slowly spinning I try to gasp for air. The rope squeezed my neck so incredibly tight. My body struggles as it swings. I remember thinking “I’m hanging by my neck!” After the initial shock the pressure seemed to dissipate and a feeling of euphoria set in and slowly go limp to conserve energy. The rope no longer felt like it was squeezing my neck though I could not get a breath. I had no sense of time but it felt much longer than 20 seconds. Then I feel hands all over my body as they bring me down. The rope is loosen but I make no effort to take a breath. I feel myself relax as they carry me in to recovery. I slowly wake with both Cody and Sean over me. I try to talk but nothing comes out. They pat my body with towels as I lie feeling my legs and feet twitching. I gag as I try to swallow. Cody checks my neck “no major bruises but it will be red for a while. We will get you to sit up in a few minutes.” My hands still tied behind me I can only move slightly. Still in a slight euphoric state I can’t tell if I am still hard and I can’t lift my head to look but I can see that Sean still is. He smiles when he sees me looking. They sit me up and untie my hands then I realize that I’m still hard.
Cody : “we can go to the showers and I can help you with that.” They help me to my feet and slowly get in the shower with both Sean and Cody removing the gym shorts and theirs. I close my eye and enjoy them rubbing my body with soap. I feel around not really knowing who I was touching as I feel them talking turns stroking and rubbing. We synchronize and all get off at the same time.
They help me dry off and get my shorts on. We go back into the barn where it is a party atmosphere. Guys line up to greet me and welcome me to the secret society, Trevor smiles and says he wanted to join us in the shower. I told him in a rough voice “that may happen soon.” I look at the rope that I was hanged with still dangling from the beam. I wonder if I will ever hang from there again and who will be next.
