Alright, if you say so. I don’t doubt the supply runners will strike gold when they go to the pharmacy. I mean, walkers don’t like cough medicine, right? [She pauses a while after saying this, realizing it actually wasn’t as funny as it was in her head so she covers it up by speaking quickly] They will, the question is when. And I’m fine without them, there are people here who know enough about vampires to help me. Seriously, you have been one of the biggest helps here and I’m eternally grateful for all the things you’ve done for me.

Their trips have been pretty bountiful so far, and they didn't exactly report a shortage of supplies the last time they raided that pharmacy. [Lips quirking a little] Not the last time I checked, no. [Nods] Hopefully it'll be soon. [Goes a little quiet for a moment, obviously touched] It's no problem at all Elena, seriously... you've done a hell of a lot for me too. In fact, I'd say you're probably the closest friend I have these days.

[Offering her a grateful smile] Thanks... Okay first off, how much do you know about 'Abbie' and why she ended up leaving Lawrence?

Okay, I don’t want to waste it if it doesn’t work, you know? Because I’m pretty sure a lot of the people here could use a sleeping pill more than me. I wish Damon or Stefan were still around camp, they’d know what to do. But I guess I gotta put on my big girl pants and figure out things on my own.

Hey, don't worry about it okay? If it has even the slightest chances of working then it's not a waste in my books, besides it shouldn't be too hard to find more of this stuff on the next run. Pharmacies tend to keep sleeping aids pretty well stocked. [Offers her a sympathetic smile] There's a chance they'll come back you know? And our gates are always open to them if they do. And in the meantime, I may not be an expert in this stuff but... I'll do my best to help where I can. Just because you might be the only vamp currently residing in Lawrence, doesn't mean you have to figure out all this stuff on your own.

[Hesitates for a moment before murmuring softly] ^Can what I say here stay between just us?

[Elena presses her lips together to form a line while she waits for Adam to find what he’s looking for, her eyes shifting around the room in the meantime] Thank you. [As he speaks, she takes a sip from the bottle and nods along to what he was saying] I don’t know if it’ll work at it, but i guess it doesn’t hurt to try. Who knows, I don’t think anyone ever took note if pills work on vampires or not.

No problem. And yeah, it's worth a shot. Worst case scenario, there's one extra item on the list for the next supply run. We already have whoever goes out next visiting the nearest pharmacy so it's not as if this'll have them going out of their way or anything. [Smiles a little at that] Probably not, and if they did? I doubt they left behind any of their notes for me to skim through.

[Waving off her apology] It's fine, seriously don't worry about it. I'm a little edgy as it is so, probably was less of what you said and more of how I'm feeling right now.

Yeah me and Becky were talking about it the other day. It's been a little dodgy for a while now, though this is the worst it's been so far... I don't think it's anything to worry about at this point though, not unless it persists. It's just worth looking into, you know?

Any ideas on what the issue with the generator is yet?

Everybody's Fool || Adam & Balthazar

Balthazar had taken to watching the goings on of the town from above again since the weather started warming up. He would leap from roof top to roof top effortlessly with a flap of his wings, scanning the ground below for anything out of sorts. Maybe he was paranoid, but with so many weird events having happened to them since establishing this town he couldn’t help wanting to prevent trouble before it happened. 

Looking towards the wall he spotted Adam. He wasn’t sure where they stood, but he didn’t have Gabriel around to goof off with and he was feeling a bit mischievous. Dropping down to the street below he walked up behind Adam and couldn’t contain the smirk that crossed his lips at the way the man whipped around. “Nice reflexes luv, but you can relax,” he winked and added “you know I’m quite friendly.”

Adam half smiled, despite himself, at Balthazar's words, his hand moving away from where it'd automatically moved to hover over his knife in some sort of instinctual defensive gesture. It was an instinct that'd been practically drilled into him at this point, between the apocalypse and his brothers and everything else inbetween, to the extent that he sometimes wondered how he'd ever felt safe wandering around without it.

"Sorry it's just... had an unexpected visitor to the camp earlier, guess it's left me a little edgy." He almost expanded on his words, admitting exactly who it was he'd run into and how pathetically useless he'd been against her that he'd not even attempted to intercede, not that it'd have done him any good if he had... But right now? He honestly just wanted to forget the whole damn thing had ever happened in the first place.

So instead he allowed himself to relax a fraction, taking one last glance up to the watch tower, and whoever it was that was currently on duty, before deciding against his original plans as he turned his back on the walls and offering, "Roadhouse? Honestly, I could use a drink right now... and I wouldn't mind the company."

He should have gone and tried to talk to other humans first but whatever… yeah about that… we’ve already had the discussion but i’ve been thinking…if they have to have your consent to possess you, they must have your permission to stay, right? Which means you can probably eject them at will. This is all in theory and I highly suggest not bringing this up to anybody. If anyone, it would be Cas.

Well, one rule of being a Winchester is that you gotta be funny.

I guess, in his defense, he probably expected Lucifer to be a lot more direct with their 'predestined final showdown', he probably figured he didn't have time to brush up his people skills before that. [Goes quiet for a moment, considering this] I guess it's possible but... I always got the sense that saying yes was kind of a permanent thing, no takesies backsies... I'll talk with Cas though, see what he says. Can't hurt to look into our options, right?

[With a slight curl of his lips] Guess your Winchester status needs to be revoked then.

[Nods] Makes sense really, especially if you were that young I mean... I know if I were in her position, I'd have wanted you to hold onto that innocence for a little bit longer. Once you know the monsters lurking under your bed could actually be real... it's never quite the same, is it?

...I'd rather not go into details but, if you ever meet someone who calls herself 'Abbie'... think twice before trusting her, okay?

And yeah, Sam and Dean are great most of the time but... they make mistakes too sometimes. [Goes quiet for a moment, flashes of Sam shooting Dean briefly skating across the surface of his mind before he forcibly pushes them back] It's definitely better if you have your own set of instincts to rely on, just in case.

[Peter snarls then stares stares at Adam for a decent amount of time, not realizing who the man was at first. Trying to find a way to communicate, he settles on a small but obvious nod of his head.]

If I recall, Adam, both the full sized models have tried, and failed, to kill me. There’s only six things in the universe that can kill me, and five of those are missing. I think my odds are pretty good, don’t you?

I wasn't saying they'd succeed, I was saying that that wouldn't stop them from trying. And honestly? I don't give a damn about your odds I just want you... gone. So can you just grab what you came here for and leave.
