Somebody’s not a fan of Dinotopia. James Gurney’s art is amazing. 

He modeled for that last one himself, which is just great.

I still reccomend Color And Light: A Guide For The Realist Painter and Imaginative Realism: How To Paint What Doesn’t Exist as the single two most helpful art books I’ve ever read. He’s a painter but his instruction is applicable to all Media, including Digital.
