Biography below the cut
Addison Rose McDaniel was born on February 16th of 1989 just two minutes after her sister Hadley. The twins were born at 35 weeks and were both immediately placed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit until they were cleared to go home a few weeks later. While the older twin Hadley thrived quickly, Addison was found to have a heart condition, Congenital Heart Disease and Patent Ductus Arteriosus, which required her to have four heart surgeries before the age of three. Addison grew up with a long list of things she wasn’t allowed to do and sports she was never allowed to play. She watched her two brothers and her sister get to do all the things she never did and as Addi got older, the protective eye of her parents only caused her to grow to be rebellious. As a child, Addi found her love of art young and used it as a way to channel her emotions into something she could understand.
In her teenage years, Addison was constantly sneaking out of the house and getting into trouble. She ditched school often to smoke weed with her boyfriend of the week and talked back to any adult who told her what to do. The only person in her life who was always safe from her sass was her twin sister, Hadley. Despite being incredibly different, the two have always been best friends. When someone would tease Hadley, Addi was always there to defend her, physically usually but threats worked okay too. Addison barely graduated and once she was finished with high school she immediately took off to attend the University of Florida to pursue a degree in art. Her parents never supported her in that, begging her to choose something that could offer her a real career but Addison didn’t ever need anyone’s approval and she lived her life by her own standards.
She got her first tattoo at 18 years old and immediately fell in love, eventually filling up both arms with tattoos and deciding to learn to skill herself. A few years later she moved back home after a falling out with her boyfriend that she’d been living with and ended up working at a local tattoo parlor. These days Addison is just as much of a loose canon as she was back then but she’d earned herself a name as a great artist in town and people are regularly coming back to her for more ink. She loves her job and her friends and her family, but Addi marches to the beat of her own drum and doesn’t tend to fit into people’s idea of what a southern belle should be like.
