where. the coolsville community center who. dusk morgan & anyone [0/4]
ever since it was revealed that her little sister had never returned home one week prior, dusk hasn't been able to sleep soundly through the night. in fact, it seems every day that abby has remained missing, dusk's dreams have become even more dark and disturbing.
if you asked her about it, or why she was wearing sunglasses inside during the morning hours, she'd brush you off with some lie about being hungover. because there is no way in hell she'd offer up the information that she's become a partial insomniac due to reoccurring, guilt ridden, dreams.
parking the newly gifted car in an open spot, she grabbed her bag and headed inside the community center. not bothering to lock the doors. it's not like she bought the car herself, and up until a week ago she was pretty certain petty theft was even too hardcore for coolsville.
she was thankful to see she was the first to arrive once she entered the community center. it gave her some time to settle her thoughts. she'd never done anything like this before, and she was certain everyone would be looking at her to at least get it started, considering it was her sister that was missing. considering she essentially asked them all to come by putting up posters around town with this time, date and location.
hearing the door open, dusk realized she was no longer alone. pushing her sunglasses up on her forehead, the brunette tried to seem confident as she greeted them. "hey, thanks for coming." she chewed on the inside of her cheek as she said, "i think we can wait for a few more people to show up before getting started." getting started? what was this, an AA meeting?
addy had been debating since she heard about the meeting about if she was going to go there or not. surely people wouldn't expect her to be there and it wasn't like anyone really liked her, right? but then, addison really wanted to be a better person, to do better. and if she stood any chance of getting people on her side of the mayoral elections, then she thought this might be a good start.
so she went to the community centre. she hovered outside a moment. it was a new feeling - the indecision. usually, she would be so sure of herself. she had never really had a choice in the matter. to get by in the life that was written for her, she needed to be decisive.
she felt awkward - like she didn't belong there. really, it was probably because she didn't. she didn't know abigail very well. she'd only seen her in passing at some family event or other. she wasn't the kind of person to do something like this out of the kindness of her own heart ... and yet here she was.
the sense of awkwardness only grew as addy stepped into the room to realise that it was just her and dusk there. there was no backing down now. "hey." she nodded. her arms crossed over her chest, the only outward sign of how she was feeling. "probably makes sense. two of us aren't exactly going to make much of a difference, are we?" she raised an eyebrow.
she coughed awkwardly as she saw in one of the seats that had been laid out. she had thought that if she wasn't hovering awkwardly in the corner then it might ease her anxiety. "how're you holding up?" she asked, more wanting to break the silence between then than to actually ask how she was feeling.
