You may remember the band "Chasing the Race" (if not just look a few posts back) well I had another chance to see them again and without further ado here is a video of them playing blink 182's The Rock Show, filmed by yours truly.

Local Band Review: Chronic Abuse
When "Chronic Abuse" got up to play I really didn't know what to expect, but as soon as I heard their first song I knew they had a lot to offer, with their melodic vocals, thrashing punk riffs and driving songs. Every knew song they played opened my eyes more to the potential they clearly have. Chronic Abuse played a killer set ending with a cover of "All I want" by "A Day To Remember" They clearly have a lot of talent but they really need to record something as finding them online is difficult the only recorded show I could find of them (included in this post) is less than stellar. But I digress, great band and I can't wait ot hear more from them.
Local melodic punk band: Zero Days
Recently I have been introduced to a local melodic punk band called "Zero Days". Zero Days possess a very unique sound reminiscent of melodic hardcore bands like "Rise Against" but with a more catchy appeal to their vocals similar to bands like "Blink 182" or The "Movielife."
Zero Days are definitely one of the most energetic bands I've heard recently and I believe they have a lot of potential to grow into something incredible.
They have a few tracks for download on their Triple J unearthed page. I would highly recommend checking out them out.

Review: Prophets of Impending Doom - The Suppering
Local Adelaide ska band "Prophets of Impending Doom" recently released their EP titled "The Suppering".
Having seen this band live a couple of times, I was eager to check it out.
All the track names are references to food, so right of the bat, the listener has no idea what to expect. What they have in store is an epic collection of ska awesomeness.
Loud noises at night.
At the moment, I’m having the worse day at school. All because of some cats last night. It all started when I woke up around midnight from a loud cry. At first I thought it was a crying baby outside my window. So I started to panic and waited for another cry. But instead of a cry, I heard a moan. I then later realize it was two cats having sexual intercourse outside my window. Now because I couldn’t go back to sleep I have to suffer through a whole day of school.
"having sexual intercourse" I love delicately you put that.
Local Electronic Music
Since my main musical interest is primarily guitar based "rock", the majority of posts I make about local music will reflect that. As I want this blog to generally cover all kinds of music, I'll occasionally take a lot at something outside my specific area of interest.
Here's something a little different to shake things up.
Chatres-Pozen is a local Adelaide electronic music producer and for most of this year he's been doing something quite unique. Every month he's released a couple of songs for free on his bandcamp page(link below).
The music he makes is unapologetic for it's strangeness, but the open minded listener might find something worthwhile in giving it a listen. So by all means I urge you to give his music a listen.

Steve Jocz left Sum 41
Steve Jocz the drummer from the band Sum 41 has recently left the extremely successful punk band after a long hard 13 years with the band.
Who's gonna rap on "Fat Lip" now... :(
So at work today, I got even this. Apparently, it was a “ritual” to becoming a full member of my work. It was pure melted dark chocolate … I now have type 2 diabetes.
I am SO jealous of you right now...
Chasing The Race. This band also played on the Same night as "Doc Oc" and they did a great job of getting the crowd warmed up for the other bands. Music-wise they sound like pop-punk bands like "Blink 182" they have some tracks for download on their facebook page which I highly recommend checking out.
A couple of weeks ago, at a bar called "The Cavern" in Adelaide, I saw a band called "Doc Oc" play. They played a blend of pop punk mixed with hardcore (often call "easycore"). This band simply blew my mind and it shocked me that I had never heard of them prior. So I decided to make this blog to promote and discuss the local music scene of Adelaide.
