I decided to draw Rai as a human and then an alt version where Rara is herself.
To be clear, Rainbowverse Rai remains like this transgender bisexual man and that will remain true even now. But I wanted to draw an alt version where Coloratura is herself (though still bisexual). I honestly like Rara's design and she remains one of my favorites.
I had the urge to redesign my human Spitfire because yes. And I think the new design came out better than ever. More militaristic in my honest opinion.
Not a guaranteed return of me gijinka-fying ponies. I just wanted to redesign my Soarin and add his twin sister and his cowboy partner.
Soarburn is something my mind is obsessed with even when my hyperfixation has sorta died down. MLP still remains active unlike other obsessions lmao.
Here are some details about them!
Soarin:
Soarin is Afro-American
His hair is black, dyed dark blue
He lost his forearms in the battlefield
His tattoo was made with red ink.
He was supposed to have the feathers attached to his ear, but I chose for different piercings.
He has scars on his left eye.
Yes, he is jacked.
Braeburn:
Hispanic white
He has the golden feathers by the Lakota community (aka the Buffalo tribe) as a sign that he was part of them.
He has burn scars from the trial and unrelated work incidents.
I meant for him to get blonde hair, but the blonde I chose did not fit well. Forgot to recolor his stubble beard and mustache, so now he has extra blonde facial hair XD.
High Winds:
I chose her to be redhead because yes.
Should've given her the binoculars, but decided not to do that.
First time I actually decided I am drawing a hand in a long time.

Mirror Sombra (aka "Alejandro"):
He is like a doppelganger of Solace's father, CEO of a mining company, CEO Sombra.
He is Mirror Sombra, but now his name is "Alejandro," as I call him.
He went MIA, leaving Celestia with their daughter, Light Breeze
He and Sombra are not related in EqG. They are more like doubles.
Goatee with mustache.
He is indeed Celestia's missing husband.
He wasn't a CPA student, unlike Sombra.
Nickname: Al
Alejandro is a kind and caring man and one of Star Swirl's greatest students.
Nobody knows when he disappeared, but people noticed.
He runs a charity aimed at helping human trafficking victims.
He is an altruistic and philanthropic person.
He has a great job and earns more than his wife.
Unlike Luna's ex-husband, aka Sombra, Al is still with Celestia.
Many people mistake him for Sombra (though fair, HE IS MEANT TO BE HIS MIRROR SELF), but he is not Sombra.
He loves stargazing, and he eagerly shared this hobby with Light.
Rumors claim that Alejandro disappeared during an expedition and never came back.
He is a well-mannered person who is happy to help.
He works as an auditor.
He is amazing with finances and was at the top of his class.
His money once funded CHS before he went missing.
He is a healthy girl's dad.
He is extremely supportive of her interests.
He is in his 40s
Princess Light Breeze:
Daughter of Principal Celestia and the auditor Alejandro.
Her favorite hobby is Stargazing.
She is a CHS student.
18 years old.
She is not related to Solace.
She is Aurora and Nyx's cousin, not their sister.
She always goes to the spot where she and Al spent their father-daughter time, hoping he shows up.
She was devastated to learn of her father's disappearance.
Her father went missing when she was 5, and neither Celestia nor she knew where.
She hopes that one day, her father will come back.
She will continue to hope that he returns from wherever he disappeared to and comes to the stargazing spot to explain how stars sometimes disappear.
She has an amazing voice.
She plans to look for him once she graduates.

She is not affected by magic much.
She loves to draw and sometimes spends her time creating "What-If" scenarios in which Al comes back to hug her mother and her.
She knows her mother misses him, which is why Celestia doesn't consider remarriage.
Her hope may have waned, but it's still there.
As she grew older, her reassurances changed a lot. Thirteen years of hope and prayers. At 5: "I'm sure daddy will come back!" At 10: "He must come back!" At 15: "He is going to come back!" At 18: "He will come back one day... hopefully..."
She loves her father dearly and wishes he would come back.
