WIP of my favorite little ¾ machine, Storm Bolt. It’s interesting to work on the Iron Hooves, as their extremely limited palette and iconography makes for quite the challenge to make them really pop. Her hind legs not rendered here because there’d be something added in the foreground a little later on. 

This whole lineart exercise is going a little off the rails at this point, but I hope I’ll be able to tie it all together. Doing the background is going to be a challenge; as I’ve never been really good at it, compounded farther by almost 3 years of dust on me artisifying bits. But at least the lineart turned out somewhat serviceable, eh? :)

Chaos ponies are pretty fun to work with. Once you push past a certain boundary when dealing with such a fluffy subject matter, it can feel pretty liberating just doing whatever you want with the canvas at that point. I think I might have some fun with this new addition to the roster.  Perhaps she’ll need some friends. >:D

When an Empress’ Filly meets an Iron Hoof, age old rivalries arise.  --- Just trying to do some lineart on an unfamiliar pen tablet, in the dead of night . Turned out a lot better than I expected. :D

So i just got a tumblr like i said before. Its nice to finally say hello to you officially. Plan on posting stuff soon. I do have one question do the Daughters of Luna/Black Legionaries use the nightmare night symbol or the old Eye of the Horus for their legion icon? Just wondering.

DunderBlust made a comment on a picture I made a while back, which I found really cute. I wanted to make a response to it, but I kinda procrastinated for quite a while.

I kept going back to it occasionally, going through a few iterations, but I kept getting sidetracked and started sketching other things. Because of this, there are quite a few .psd files named “Dunderblast” in my computer now, each containing a variety of different works, but ultimately having this sketch in the bottom most layer.

I’m weird that way. :P

Yet another Azure Taffy update. :)

These pieces are very crude, but it represents my exploration on scaling everything I need within the Warhammer 40k universe.

The lengths I go to portray little pastel ponies properly in a grimdark future worries me sometimes.

I made this chart in August 2015, mostly to nail down the scale for the various Imperial troops in Warhammer 40′000.

On that note, I'm not saying say I am responsible for GW’s decision to release the new “truescale” Primaris Marines. ;)

Another unfinished piece I did right around the time I made this. You’ll notice some older armour designs and the whole exploration of the chain-horn idea. Heck, even the Hogz had their own version of a helmet-mounted Choppa!

This was a pretty fun idea, that even through the darkness of the 41st Millennium, Equestrians are still trying their darndest to reform even the most brutal creatures they encounter. Friendship truly is magic. :)
