I’m inclined to say a warm bath because it just allows him to relax and usually he’s somewhere safe and homey. He often ends up dozing off there too.

Rough, but happy.

I mean Aloys is like,,,, Aloys? Since I’ve bever really thought about him as not an adult, the question would be more “what was he like as a child” probably fghjk Anyhow, he’s a responsible adult that gives off the impression of lifting the weight of the world on his shoulder and gets very vocal about what he believes in.

Do they take criticism well?

Kind of. He’s going to get slightly annoyed and pissy but he will digest it well in the long term and try to verify it’s valid criticism. If it is, then he’ll start working on it.

Have they ever jumped out of a plane?

No, since, well, planes didn’t exist at the time.

His friends in general.

Yes and he's terrible at it. Sam tried teaching him the basics but... yeah. Camilla might have been salvageable, Aloys is just a lost cause.

What most people would find funny probably? I’m not knowledgeable on what good humour is :’)

He’s going to grab a weapon, though just in last resort, and his first reaction is going to be to try knocking them out or scaring them away.

Sam. It’s one of the things that led him to realise he was in love.

Shooting (in general) and trailing people.

He kinda perpetually have a :| face when he’s not actively smiling.

Yeah! He wasn’t exactly good at it by any means until Sam moved in because he mostly ended up cooking up the fastest, easiest meal he could because of time constraints, but the day he found out they were terrible at cooking and would just forget to eat if he didn’t remind them, he started actively looking for ways to cook food and progressively got better.

Sam there too! Julia and her antics bring a smile to his face a lot too.

Most likely Sam because half of his nightmares are about them dying because he's too late to do anything. They’re also pretty used to it after a while and get pretty good at helping him calm down.

His revolver. It’s the one thing he has to defend himself in most fights.

Yeah! Especially his nieces and nephews.

He has Sam, yeah. He definitely has considered the possibility of just eloping with them at some point.

Honestly? Aloys himself doesn't know.

Wilhelm. He has a killer sense of humour when he stops with the dad jokes.

Never. Aloys is rather careful with drinking for plenty of reasons and he stops as soon as he gets tipsy.

Seeing someone faceplant. It’s just really funny to him. Also watching his niece go around and ramble in gibberish while he pretends they’re having a serious conversation.

He’d both love and hate them because Sam probably would find a way to break one and accidently put the glowing liquid everywhere in the flat.

What is something that is simple, but always makes them smile?

Family reunions. Like, just the fact that he’s with family.

Night.

Not that I know of but like… maybe one day I’ll change my mind and he’ll be.

None. Assuming Aloys would be a modern day character, he wouldn’t even like cars.

He kinda like those mildly creepy German kid stories, like Struwwelpeter.

Not Sam.

Not exactly because he’s this mildly imposing guy that doesn’t exactly smile to strangers, but, once you’ve gone past that, he’s actually pretty chill.

He’s tried shorter and longer hair along with no beard and a longer beard. He found out he prefers it either short or non existent.

Well it’s not exactly a case of “always” wanted to do, but Aloys really wishes he could just go around and be openly himself, but he’s scared of the backlash and the problems it might cause.

Aloys doesn't own a singular picture of himself.

He has an imposing aura no matter what he tries to do about it so I’d say that aura.

A little. He’s discreet about it though.

Not particularly, though he isn't a slow learner either.

Nope! He’s not really the kind to think of/want to participate in a contest.

Aloys would want to be home with Sam and his entire family. He’s a family guy in general.

His half is generally clean but Sam's tend to be messy, so despite Aloys' general non-messiness... his bedroom is still messy because of his partner.

If they could have an extinct animal for a pet, what would they have?

I’m really not knowledgeable about extinct animals so my brain jumped to “A Dodo” :’) Honestly I’m not quite sure but he’d probably like some canine breed.

If I wanted to draw them, what would be distinct physical features that I would have to know to draw them correctly?

He,,, muscly? Also, though it’s not exactly a physical feature, you’d better make sure he’s not wearing anything too obviously expensive because he doesn’t have the funds for it and the few expensive outfits he has are reserved specifically for occasions where he needs them in particular since he can’t risk scrapping because replacing them would be too costy.

What is their favourite breed of dog?

Honestly any big breed.

Do they live with anyone? If so, who?

He lives with Sam!

Where is their dream vacation?

Anywhere around the mediteranean. It’s warm, it’s beautiful both in Europe and Africa and, especially if it’s in South France, it’s going to make Sam happy so that’s like a bonus point.

He's fluent in Yiddish, German and English and knows a bit of French and Occitan thanks to exposure to it from Sam.

No because he doesn't have time to take care of it.

Not so far. He avoids it as best as he can, which so far has been a successful operation.

Somewhat. Aloys isn't generally talkative but he knows how to handle people and talks so...

Nope! It would make him too identifiable.

Aloys works in a factory during the day and as a hitman during the night.

In 1895, there were 80 cars in all of the United-States. Aloys died in 1898 if I remember properly. I'm honestly not even sure he ever saw like, an actual automobile :") He does know how to drive chariots and horse carriages though.

Do they get stressed out easily?

Not exactly, unless someone's in immediate danger, he's chill with most things. He's also very good at dealing with stress so it's hard to be certain.

Did they ever dye their hair before? If so, to what colour? Did they like it?

Nope! Hair dye didn't exist yet as far as my knowledge goes and Aloys wouldn't dye it anyways out of religious beliefs.

His night job consists of killing people. I'll let you guess.

He never got any schooling past the most basic stuff.

A lot. Aloys often wins because of his training, but it wasn't always like that and without Johann he would have lost most fights as a kid.

I kind of want to say Purim because from what I've seen it seems to be a generally happy holiday and happy celebrations are amongst Aloys' favourites, but I'm not really knowledgeable on jewish traditions, especially with my currently limited researches, so take the "because it's something joyful" part with a grain of salt dnsnnss

If they could have one wish, what would they wish for?

Honestly just the ability to get rid of capitalism at will because he considers it’s a system that’s just plain terrible for most people and causes more harm than anything else.

Do they wants kids? If they already have kids, do they want more?

On one hand, he does like kids and would love to have some. On the other, he's worried about how his work could impact the kid's life and he wants to avoid them the struggles he had to face, growing up in a poor environment. He'll 100% raise an orphan if asked to though.

Nope! He agreed with Sam that the troubles they regularly ended up in more than made up for the ones a pet would cause.

Neither! He’s fully human and no magician so...

Loose, since it isn't too long. He's tried slicking it back before but he didn't exactly like it.

Aloys has a terrible sense of beat so he gave up music long ago.

Well in his entire life it was about dying, because frankly, even if he knew he was walking head first into it when he went to get Sam out, he was still terrified. Beside, the burning pain of Sam's venom and their panicked tears didn't really help in comforting him in anyways.

Queer! Don’t ask him to define more or he’ll probably have a panic attack.

Do they have a best friend? If so, who, and what makes them their best friend?

His best friend was his older brother, Johann, and no one afterwards ever really came as close to Aloys as Johann did.

Have they ever been in a romantic relationship?

Only once where he loved the other back and it was with Sam. Prior to this, Aloys was mostly just unsure of how love felt so he just went along.

What does their relationship with their family look like? Are they close? Distant? Ect.

Aloys used to be really close with them, but ended up taking his distance after he came out. He still had a good relationship with his youngest siblings though and he absolutely loves his family.
