The Issue of Pleasure (Part 2)

Well, it has been several weeks since I first posted about my sexual experiences as a recently circumcised man. As some of you may remember, I basically stated that masturbation had changed: stroking was less pleasurable, but the orgasms felt more intense. Today I will update you with my experiences penetrating and receiving oral sex since the surgery. I will admit that receiving oral sex as an uncircumcised man could be a delicate issue at times. What do I mean by that? Well, the experience of getting sucked could be either incredibly pleasurable or overly sensitive and hard to handle. It really depended on whether that friendly mouth had any previous experience with uncircumcised men. Aggressive blowjobs, which are often a favorite of many circumcised men, were an ordeal to me. Post-surgery oral sex is more consistent. My penis is not as sensitive anymore, so I can now enjoy a very aggressive and fast blowjob. Initially, I was quite disappointed with the change. Now, however, I get to enjoy very sloppy and fast oral action. I will miss the long sensitive blowjobs of the past. That said, I am eager to push my limits when it comes to aggressive oral sex. Penetration, in general, has remained more similar to how it was in the past. The level of sensitivity is a bit lower. Endurance, on the other hand, has increased. I am proud to report that I can be a less selfish lover in bed these days: I can pound longer than I did before.

The Issue of Pleasure

Recently, I have received a barrage of questions regarding how pleasurable orgasms are after a circumcision. Some readers were particularly concerned because my circumcision seems to be relatively “low.” That means that most of my inner foreskin, the sensitive preputial mucosa, was removed during the surgery. Well, I will share my limited experience with post-surgery orgasms so far.

Masturbation before the surgery was quite easy. It required of no lubricant, I usually produced quite a bit of pre-cum, and my foreskin glided without issues. One thing I noticed with age was that often the act of masturbating was as pleasurable if not more enjoyable than the actual orgasm associated with ejaculation. What do I mean by that? Stroking my uncircumcised penis produced a texture of different sensations that continued throughout masturbation. Eventually the stroking would culminate with the inevitable release. However, the final orgasm sometimes was somewhat underwhelming compared to the previous stroking. There were times when there was an enjoyable great build up that culminated with a disappointing orgasm. That actually encouraged me to avoid ejaculation as much as possible.

Pre-surgery masturbation had some unexpected perks. The most important one was that a foreskin could be used to trap or capture semen to avoid a mess. In other words, ballooning the semen inside the foreskin after ejaculation. Naturally, that is no longer an option. While in the past I trapped the semen and then went to the bathroom to clean myself, now I need to have tissue or a rag ready for my orgasm.

Post-surgery masturbation has been easier than I predicted. During the recovery, I used to joke that I was going to need a big bottle of lube to pleasure myself. Turns out I was left with enough loose skin to stroke myself to orgasm without the need of lube.

So, how are orgasms since the surgery? Well, I am not complaining! While the stroking during masturbation does not cause the same complex type of sensations it did before, the resulting climax feels more intense than it did in the past. There is more of a sense of build-up. It really feels like an explosion of pleasure. It may be the case that the orgasm feels very powerful only because the stroking does not produce the same sensory stimulation it did before, but I sure enjoy the payoff when I finish.

Will I miss the pleasurable stroking of my uncircumcised days? Yes. But what I have now is also very enjoyable.

The Worst Part of Recovery

One of the most common questions I receive is: What has been the worst part of my recovery? People assume that pain, discomfort, and hypersensitivity would be at the top of my post-surgery grievances. In all honesty, I expected those issues to make my life uncomfortable for a few weeks. My main problem, however, did not involve my genitals at all.

Gastritis has been a side-effect of the surgery. Yes, I am aware that circumcisions do not cause the inflammation or irritation of the stomach’s lining. Anti-inflammation drugs prescribed after a circumcision, however, can have quite an impact on your stomach. The combination of the drugs, my tendency to drink plenty of black coffee, and my love for spicy foods resulted in tremendous pain. I have read about men waking up at night because of a rogue erection that pulls the stitches. Well, I guess I am special. My terrible nights were all associated with stomach pains that forced me off my bed.

Fortunately, my story has had a happy ending (so far). The generic drug that limits the production of gastric juices is quite cheap down in Mexico. Trust me, I am very glad about that!

So, how about the recovery?

In general, we have the assumption that the recovery period following a circumcision can be particularly challenging. I shared that expectation. After all, I I thought about delaying my surgery until later in the year when I had enough time to “rest.” As silly as this may sound, I was worried the recovery period would disrupt my usual physical exercise routine, and I pondered having it done when I knew I would be visiting a city where I would not have access to a gym. My actual experience, however, has been surprisingly positive. I do not know whether the laser technique has made a difference when it comes to the relative lack of pain. The only day I felt significant discomfort was the day following the surgery. If anything, the most painful part was when the doctor’s assistant took away the bandage wrapping my penis. Nonetheless, I managed to walk all around a university campus for the rest of the day.

The most painful aspect of recovery during the first week had to do with “positioning” the penis pointing upwards. The doctor had instructed me to wear tight underwear and to keep on a tape that would keep my penis as upward pointing as possible during that first week. The tape turned out to be a formidable enemy to my genitals. It turns out that the tape could really cut into the base of my penis whenever my penis shifted around. On the other hand, the doctor’s recommendation to wear tight underwear was particularly helpful. Adjusted briefs made minimized any movement that could have caused discomfort.  

I will not deny that my glans was sensitive for the first two weeks. Yet, the level of sensitivity did not bother me as long as I wore tight underwear that kept “everything” in its right place. By week two, I had forgotten I was recently circumcised. I could not even feel it.

So, how about erections? I have certainly worked to avoid getting any of them. However, they naturally occur at night and early in the morning. One advantage of laser circumcision is that there are not stitches. The cut is cauterized. That meant that erections were never truly painful in the way other patients describe online. Late night/early morning erections were noticeable uncomfortable for the first ten days, but I have not noticed such discomfort since then. In any case, I did dare to allow myself to get fully erect. I don’t want to disrupt the healing process. Iwon’t really get to test how circumcision affected my erections for another two weeks.

The Technique

I decided to get a laser circumcision, which is uncommon outside Asia. My urologist learned the technique from Korean urologists some years ago. The purported advantages of a laser circumcision is that they are less painful, don’t require stitches, and result in a neater scar. Given my inherent ability to get the ugliest scars in the world, this technique got my attention. I wanted to avoid a botched scar worthy of Dr. Frankenstein’s work. So, how was my experience with the surgery? Well, it was very good. It was a quick procedure. It was also relatively painless. I only felt 2 or 3 stings towards the end of the surgery. Also, I did not see any of the action because I was given dark glasses to protect my eyes from the laser beam. The one thing I could notice was the smell of burning skin.  Would I recommend a laser circumcision? Absolutely! It was worth the extra $200 USD. I will pay that to avoid stitches or any terrible scarring.

Getting Circumcised at 30...
