so hey au where tae goes to a school for Troublemaker Kids ™ and jung’s the new nanogirl that tae has to show around and it’s just jung never shutting up and tae barely ever talking and both of them being Real Gay

“If we go back here,” Taeyeon mumbles, sticking her hand through the gap between the fence and the gate to finegle the latch open. She shoulders the gate open and tugs Junghee through it and onto the little dirt path that winds away from the library and into the little ravine behind the school. “We’ll go behind the prep dorms and wind up at the observatory.” She points lazily into the distance where they can’t see the top of the building over the rocks.

“Are we allowed to be back here?” Junghee asks as she fits the latch back into place.

“No,” Taeyeon says, and tugs Junghee forward.

“Um,” he says, a soft breath. “Hi.” Everything around him is quiet, and he’s not sure if that’s because the forest has gone silent or because all he can seem to focus on is the light flecks of glitter that speckle their golden tan cheeks. “I’m Taemin,” he says, “Can I come in? I think I’m lost.”

“Aw,” they tsk, voice light and sweet like hot chocolate. “A lost little human, how precious.”

-gwiboon purchasing a giant spinner roulette wheel thing from a yard sale for $7.25 and somehow jamming it into the trunk of their car and taking it home and setting it up in the living room and writing different pronouns on it and when they wake up in the morning they have their coffee and spin the wheel and when it stops hum’s like “well i guess i’m a hummingbird today” and goes to make an outfit to match

-smol agender teen minho liking everyone calling flames passion fire so much flame starts using flameself pronouns but then when flame starts getting older and looking back on flames life it’s that usual “what the fuck @ teenage me please stop everything” cringe aesthetic so instead of flameself pronouns minho changes to using sparkself ones instead and feels better bc sparks aren’t as big and obvious as a whole fire but still rly bright and cute and a reminder of spark’s passion :)

Jinki watches Jonghyun walk away, then turns to find Choi heading to their own car a few spots down. He guesses they’re gonna park it next to the van, now that there’s space. Turning again, he hesitates when Tae is the next person that he sees, leaning up against the front of the van, very close to where he is.

Tae looks away quickly when he catches Jinki’s eye. He stares at the ground, bottom lip between his teeth, fingers twisting with each other. Jinki grimaces, glances at the back of the van, at Choi’s car slowly putting over the asphalt. They did this on purpose. Jonghyun unlocking the doors for him was just a ruse.

Maybe he’ll ask Jonghyun or Key to set them up one time. A little friend date. Just the two of them.

“So, what’s the schedule for today?” Key asks. Jinki pauses in his eating; he glances at Jonghyun, and then at Taemin, who’s still poking at his waffles. Taemin takes another bite and swallows before setting his fork down on his napkin. Then he reaches up onto his desk to pull down his phone and bring up the doc from last night.

“Um,” he mumbles. “The posters.” He gestures behind him at the half-done wall. “Pillows and laundry. The desk drawers. All my movies and knick-knacks and shit from around the house. The videos and the notes. Wiping me from the PC. Cleaning up. About forty more panic attacks.” His weak laugh is more a soft noise of distress that has all four of them making little noises of sympathy. Choi puts their hand on Taemin’s shoulder and rubs it over his back soothingly.

“Are you really sure you’re ready for this, Taemin?” Jonghyun asks.

“No,” Taemin says quietly. Jinki watches Jonghyun’s fingers curl into his shirt, his silent intake of breath. Taemin shakes his head and rubs his palms into his eyes. “But I’ve wanted to do this since I was eighteen. Since before that. And I haven’t had a chance like this in five years. And who knows when the next one will come up. Ready or not, this has to be it.” His voice shakes as he speaks, like he hasn’t even fully convinced himself of this point.

Which, Jinki guesses, kind of is the point. He’s called them to help him move out several times before, but called all of them off not too soon after. Not enough time, he wasn’t ready physically, he wasn’t ready mentally. Jinki isn’t sure that with his anxiety he’d ever be able to feel fully ready anyway. He thinks it’s less about being ready and more about being able.

And right now, they’re definitely able to do this.
