oh blackstone, how i have longed for you. and now you’re finally here, and i love you just as much as i knew i would
And because we dont have the ridiculously awesome armour stand book they have on java (damn them!) i have a couple of add-ons to try some armour stand stuff. i made my own texture pack to take the base plate off, then theres Place Me and then i use a command block to make them invisible sometimes.
You can just make out in the last picture, the guy on the boat is throwing the other guy a fish
And the first pic is my proudest moment (i mean...) a lovely little bonsai tree
And this massive thing, with all that prismarine and dark prismarine and quartz - again, all done in survival, that took about a month to build, all to house, wait for it.....
a squid farm.
This is the start of my new area. I got inspired by bdoubleo100 (i wish i was that good! and as good as scar at landscaping too! but anyway)
I also tried diagonal building for the first time. i’m pretty pleased with it. This was also the first time (again thanks to bdubs) that i tried interiors. They’re not great, but better than nothing!
The rounded square is a stable, the long building is the gate house, then the other diagonal is the inn, then a couple of houses.
Basalt works really well for the base of buildings by the way. Oh yeah, I had to place that in creative, because in survival it becomes a ghost block and doesnt really exist.
Here’s the palace and temples. Everything in this world was done in survival by the way. I go into creative to fly up and look at stuff but thats it.
The palace is made with concrete powder, so every time i make a change, i have to replace lots of wall (which happened a lot). Now the crimson blocks are out, i’m going to have a look at changing the acacia for crimson.
i guess i should show my new world (well, not new to me, but new to you). it started off as (i think its called) stronghold village (something like that) from the new world picker thing.
The first thing i did was make the hill and the big tree. Right from the start there was going to be a huge cave system under the tree. As you can see from the last pic, its still just a massive hole. most of which was dug pre beacon by the way! I was waiting till the nether update so i can use the new stuff to make caves look cooler. So i guess i’ll be on it soon.
Then i made the village around the tree. I went for a Japanese type look because it looks cool and havent done it before. i’ve never been one for doing villages and towns so wanted to have a go. i think i’ll go back and fix some stuff up but i’m quite pleased with it.
In pic 3 you can just make out a big wall. That surrounds quite a large area that contains a big palace/mansion thing, with two identical temples (i’ll show in next post) and at the moment, all the trees i need for building and not much else.
WHAT ARE YOU
WHY ARE YOU
*featuring my nifty new armour
being a tourist on the tntree
it’s even more majestic in person. even though the armourstands all immediately fell to the ground. (i’m so annoyed we cant implement that book on bedrock!)
H-how did you convert it to bedrock?
Mcc chest I think it's called. You just make a new world and use that program to convert it
so i downloaded the hermitcraft 6 world and converted it to bedrock (armourstands are broken booo), wento to iskalls desert town and look at the size of that bunny! the white one isnt a baby, its a normal rabbit.
why is that rabbit so massive!?
I've been taking a break from this world
waiting for the new slabs and stairs so I can make my cave under the big stump.
and now I have them.
and I love them.
sooooo much
i did all the small trees on the island using setblock and fortunately I realised that I could use fill to do the big tree. phew! I still had to do it 4 times because there were too many blocks to do at once.
but yeah, this big ole tree is looking a lot lot better. get those bark blocks in bedrock Mojang!
SOOOOOOOOO much better!
but it is going to take about 5 years to do the other island
Well
turns out we DO have bark blocks on bedrock, they’re just hidden.
So i’ll be venturing into creative mode to turn all the relevant logs into bark blocks with setblock. I might be some time
meet the parrots
I also changed my mind about the lake in the middle. Now theres going to be a massive old hollow tree stump with the lake inside it. and some bits poking out the side as you can see. I’m about 3/4 of the way around the lake, so it’ll be enclosed soon.
I really wish we had bark blocks on bedrock.
And i’m trying (and struggling) to learn how to do addons so I can have some butterflies flitting around my little forest. and maybe some kodama’s. that would be cool
