Yes. That's one of the best reasons to end a friendship.

Whenever I find out that one of my friends supports Trump, I wonder what the hell it is about me that could make someone like both me and Trump. I wonder what I need to change to stop attracting the worst of humanity.

I like to see the good in people. I don't expect my friends to be perfect or to agree with me about everything. But anyone who still supports Trump is a monster. Anyone who "agrees to disagree" is an enabler. Trump supporters need to see that being a monster has consequences. By continuing to maintain a friendship with a Trump supporter, you're showing them that they can be openly cruel and still live a comfortable life. Anyone who supports Trump deserves to suffer from loneliness, and if you have an opportunity to contribute to their loneliness, you have a duty to do it.

In case anyone wonders what the Japanese is saying

I just learned about this recently from a Viking reenactor! Indigo dye isn't blue until it oxidizes, so when you dye with indigo your cloth or thread doesn't come out of the water blue, it comes out and then reacts with the oxygen in the air and seems to spontaneously turn blue in front of your eyes. It's a really cool process to witness.
