    It would have been no skin off Beerus’ nose to reveal his true nature and reprimand Salza’s brash statements, had he anything less than an overall positive set of experiences with Salza; Even a God owed respect where respect was due, and his friend deserved That much. In a sense, Beerus was experiencing choice paralysis-- he was asked for truth, but would the weight of reality be too heavy a burden to place upon another? Why, what exactly is stopping him now from telling another lie, but the ill-defined ‘respect’ all lifeforms owed to one another?

    He was backed into an invisible corner by his own independent decisions, and had no comrades at his side with whom he could share a bit of mirth, and make light of such a situation.

    Standing over the infirm Brench, the Destroyer’s expression became dour, after a fashion; Beerus’ mien was seldom describable as Oppressive, but his stern, yet unaffected gaze’s slow examination of Salza’s body language, tail nearly dropped to the floor, would readily qualify for such a descriptor.
