"Why d—" And once again, she was interrupted, this time by a kiss though she defintely isn’t complaining about that, no-siree. Her heart did little somersaults as she felt his lips on hers. She couldn’t help but smile happily into the kiss, though her lips were moving awkwardly against his. This was,after all, the first time she got kissed.

This wasn't exactly Aeron's first kiss, but with Tally it was different. She was just a good friend of his when she was supposed to be a rival--his enemy--and yet here he was, kissing her. How long he was kissing her, he didn't know, but when he eventually ran out of breath, he pulled away. His face lingered there in front of hers for a moment, before actually pulling himself completely away from her, getting up on his knees before standing up. Clearing his throat and rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, he offered a hand down to Tally to help her up.

Tally let out a surprised sound when Aeron leaned down to press their lips. It was all too sudden, and she swore her heart stopped for a moment. Her face was red as a tomato when he pulled away moments later, her eyes wide with shock. It was a surprise to her that he still didn’t let go, that he was still hovering above her. It seemed like hours had passed by —though it was probably just minutes — before she finally spoke up. “Aeron,” She said in a soft whisper.

"Tally," he said back, just as quietly, at a loss for words. And at a loss to do anything else, Aeron kissed her again, this time his hands moving up into hers, lacing their fingers together. Letting go of one of her hands, he cupped her cheek, bringing her face up closer to his, kissing her more. Why he didn't pull away or why he continued to kiss her, he didn't know.

"Oh, I can shoot you, Sourwolf."

"Sourwolf is a definitely good nickname," She shrugged and stuck out her tongue, "Also, I am definitely not the worst Aer— I mean Sourwolf. It’s the plain tr—" She couldn’t continue her sentence, though. Of course, how could she, when someone she were supposed to kill months ago grabbed her wrist, pinned her to the ground, and was currently hovering over her. Suddenly there was a weird feeling in her stomach and that was probably because their faces were so close, but it was still a weird feeling. "Uh…"

"You can't shoot a wolf," he said quietly, as if he were saying a warning, or a threat.

His face was so close to hers; Aeron felt almost literally frozen, staring into her eyes like that. But before he knew it, he was pressing his lips to hers, kissing her, just barely tasting the chocolate cake on her mouth. It was only after a few more seconds that he pulled away, his eyes wide after realizing what he just did. Though he still didn't move away, he still didn't let go of her wrists. He continued to look down at her, his mind trying to process what just happened.

"At least it’s better than Aerie." Tally commented, with a shrug of her shoulders. "If we continue that topic of conversation, I swear I will hunt you down and shoot you through the eye."

She grinned, “Stop being a sourwolf, Aerie.” Tally chuckled, “Ooh, sourwolf! I’ve got a new nickname for you!” She said in her singsong voice. “Also, my bow is in my room, so all I can do now is poke you.” She shrugged, before continuing to poke him.

"Whatever you say, Tallulah," he said. "And you would have to aim through your own eyes if you wanted to shoot mine. I doubt you could though." He smirked.

"Ha ha, punny," he commented, glaring at her. "It's terrible--you're terrible." Aeron was caught between batting her hands away with one hand and poking her back with the other. If someone were to see them, they'd just look like children fighting over the last slice of cake. Which was somewhat true. And Aeron could only tolerate so much. "Okay, stop it--Tally--enough!" As soon as she poked his ticklish spot, he grabbed her wrists and by instinct, pinned her to the ground. He was hovering above her, looking down at her.

"Nope!" She grinned, "You’re Aerie to me and forever will be," She buried her head in her hands with a shake of her head. "Nonononono, that sounds so disturbing. I don’t even want to know what my parents and uncles and aunts are… doing."

She lifted her face from her hands, a grin back on her face. Tally shook her head, “Bad idea to poke me back!” She said, in a battle cry-ish way, poking him back with both her index fingers.

"It's a stupid name," he said. "What if I called you 'Tallulah' in return?" When she buried her face in his hands, Aeron's grin widened. "But we could just keep talking about that since it bothers you so much," he said. 

Aeron tried to back away as she began to poke him again, but seeing how his attempts at defending himself failed, he decided to just fight back. "I thought you were going to shoot me," he said. "Not poke me!"

"Owwie!" She rubbed her arm, pouting at him. "Aerie, Aerie!" She giggled, a teasing smile on her lips. "I have twelve uncles, fifty something cousins, whose names I don’t even remember. Yeah, it’s a pretty big family. Oh my god, please don’t talk about that, please don’t."

"Hm, where should I shoot you?" She asked, scooting over to sit next to him. "In the head," She poked his head lightly. "In the chest—" another light poke at his chest, "Or in the stomach?"

"Stop it," he growled, though he wasn't really that angry; he was more amused than mad. He couldn't help but grin afterwards. "Why? Makes you uncomfortable? Don't worry, it makes me want to throw up, too. No offense, though."

Aeron glared at her as she poked him, one of his eyes twitching. "Stop," he said, batting her hand away. "How would you liked it if I poked you?" And there, he began poking her wherever he could--her face, her arm, her side, her chest, her stomach...

"See? Meanie," she reached over to poke him on the side. "But cake! Oh Aerie, that’s adorable. You and wolves." She said in a teasing voice, obviously not believing his title. "Oh? At least you’re — what? — third in line? I’m fifty-something in line. My father’s the youngest of thirteen sons, you know." She shrugs, not really caring about royal ranking at all. She’s still royalty, after all, so why should ranking matter?

"Oh, please." She rolled her eyes. "You want me to shoot you right now?"

He slapped her hand away when she poked him. "Please stop calling me that," he muttered. "And it's not 'adorable'." Aeron smirked. "Fifty-something? Must be a huge family. Your dad and your uncles must either be real ladies'-men, or just really busy." He couldn't help but laugh. 

"I'd like to see you try," he said, looking over at her with a smirk. "I dare you."

"Let it go, Aeron," She smiled, lying down on the floor of the ballroom. "My dad would be very proud of me, mind you. At least one of his offspring was a queen of something. An alliance? Maybe not, I’m no heir to the throne, unfortunately." She said plainly, reaching her hands upward as if she were reaching for the stars. "Hm, try me, Arendelle."

"Let it go," he said, mocking her voice again in a more distorted-like way. He smirked. "Queen of Immaturity and Cake," he said. "Yeah, that's something to be proud of. Whereas I, the King of Wolves, have a more impressive title." He laughed and waved the whole thing off as if it was stupid. "Oh well, I'm not the heir either. Dear older brother Fredrick is." Disgust and jealousy was plain on his face but he was quick to conceal those emotions.

Aeron glanced over at her, and copied her, reaching for the ceiling as well. "You couldn't hit me even if I was right in front of you," he said.

"Oh please, I am definitely not the meanie," She stuck out her tongue. "Hm, okay, fine!" She raised her hands in surrender, "Fine, fine, you can have as much cake as you want for… hm, I don’t know, a week? While you were gone, I took over the cake monarchy, my dad would be so proud." She smiled brightly. "Tally, dearie, not Tallulah. I still know how to use a bow and arrow, I can shoot you."

"You slapped my hand earlier," he said, rolling his eyes as she stuck her tongue out at him. Aeron smirked, shaking his head. "Cake monarchy? Some queen you'd be. Yeah, I bet your dad would be proud of your selfishness. Not sharing with the poor, starving Arendelle... Would you agree to an alliance?" A small laugh escaped him. He looked up at her, an eyebrow raised in disbelief. "And really? How many tries would it take?"

"No, I’m not," She shook her head. "Oh, please, you’re the one constantly take my cake," She shrugged, "You’re the meanie, so yeah." Tally pouted, "Aww, you poor dear," She said in mock sympathy, reaching out to pat Aeron on the shoulder. "I understand these are dark times for you."

"Yes you are," he replied immediately. Aeron looked up at her, an eyebrow raised. "It's because you have had enough while I was gone! Give me a chance to catch up." He narrowed his eyes at her, shrugging her hand away. "Yeah yeah, I don't need your pity, Tallulah," he said, mocking her voice. He turned away to finish up his cake.

Tally shrugged, crossing her arms and sticking her tongue at him. “Please, I’m not that bad,” She shrugged again and slapped Aeron’s hand when he took her slice of cake. “Mine!” She frowned, taking the cake back. “Oh please, you’d know it was me.” She raised a brow, “Hm? And why is that?”

"Yes you are," he replied flatly without hesitating. "Ow!" he exclaimed as she slapped his hand. "And you say I'm mean." He rubbed his hand and turned away, getting another slice for himself. "The only way I can tell it was you is if you were the only person eating all the cake as if there will never be cake again in this world." He took a bite before looking over at her. "Imagine all the pranks I could've pulled!" he exclaimed as if it was obvious.

It’s not funny at all, you’re just being mean. And proud of what exactly? You don’t really have any effect on people, unless that effect is that of a 21 year old man-child who eats cake more than anything else.

You like the touchy-feely stuff and you know it.

I have a mean sense of humor that could offend people half of the time. So? And well, have you met that 17-year-old woman-child whose number one goal in life is to eat more cake than me?

And no, not when the touchy-feely stuff is all cold and stuff.

Tally stuck out her tongue, “You’re such a meanie,” She frowned, taking it a small piece of cake and throwing it at him. “Hm, you were? Mind you, I wasn’t always at the cake table. Someone asked me to dance so hah! Anyways, I am offended you didn’t come to visit your dear friend Tally at the cakes table.

Aeron just shrugged carelessly, picking up the piece of cake she threw at him and eating it. "Well, I feel sorry for that person," he muttered, finishing up his cake before taking Tally's again. "And well, it was hard to actually visit you if I didn't know what you looked like because of the masks we were all wearing." He tilted his head to the side. "And you know, I'm a bit ashamed of myself that I didn't take advantage of that moment."

That’s not funny. You don’t even like Acadia like that, do you? You definitely don’t. I don’t even think she likes you at all. I brought you up once, and she practically shut off completely.

Aeron, You’re making it really hard to be happy you’re back.

It's funny if you think about it from our perspective. And heck no, I don't, no offense to her. And well, the effect I have on people. Maybe I should be proud of it.

And good. I'd rather avoid all the touchy-feely stuff, too.

"Oh, shut up." Tallulah rolled her eyes, finally raking another bite of her slice of cake. "I’m just in need of cake," She frowned, sitting down cross-legged on the floor of the empty ballroom. "Still my cake," She muttered, taking another bite. "Sooo… were you at the masquerade ball?" She asked, trying to change the subject.

"And your vocabulary increases! It's like seeing you mature in front of my very eyes." He pretended to wipe away tears, even sniffing a bit. "They grow up so fast..." He rolled his eyes before returning to eating his cake. "Yeah, I was," he said, accepting the change of subject. His mouth was full and he didn't look up at her. "And I assume you were there, too. For the cake."

I still don’t understand how me kissing a boy is such a big deal. And even though Ansten is theoretically pregnant, he’s still doing better in the love department than you are. I wonder why that is.

I understand what you’re saying, I just don’t understand why you’re saying it. Are you mocking me or do you actually agree?

Because it's you kissing a boy, especially one that everyone pretty much dislikes. And I don't know, maybe Acadia chose the wrong twin. 

Would you accept "both" as an answer?

"Hey!" She protested when Aeron took her other slice. "My cake, my cake!" She exclaimed, flailing her arms around. "Fine, fine," She said, finally calming down to take another slice of cakes, glaring at Aeron just in case he wanted to take her cake. "My cake."

"Wow, don't you have such a wide vocabulary," he commented sarcastically, holding out her cake away from her and eating it once she turned around to get another slice.
