If anyone takes after their mother, it’s Kajsa. She has the same ice powers as her mother, and sometimes harbors the same negative feelings towards them that Elsa used to. Her mother has tried to speak to her about it, but ever since she hurt one of her cousins, she’s tried to reverse her powers. Her family doesn’t know about this, since she suspects that they wouldn’t be very happy about her wishing she didn’t have powers.

 Still, Kajsa mostly keeps them under wraps and only uses them when she is 100% calm and in control. She has tried practicing and training her powers, but they seem to be stronger than she can manage. She is hoping that by coming to the palace she can be somewhere where she isn’t known solely because of her powers.

Anissa wondered if she would catch on to it all. Kajsa was brilliant, she probably already had. She was sure she won’t expect it to be a Westergaard. It was eating her up keeping this to herself. Kajsa seemed like she would understand. She chewed on the inside of her lip stuck in thought. “She had?” She did not expect Greta to be the one to end. Though the pair was always close. “I guess it all worked out for you in the end.” She smiled gesturing to her belly. When she said she stood by him she flashed a broad smile. “Me too!” Anissa spat out in excitement. “I mean, I would too.” She cleared her throat, tinting a light rose colour. 

“Yes. It was complicated and going to end anyway. He didn’t want to get married or have children, or really settle down at all. And those were things I wanted. She did me a favor.” When Anissa pointed out that things had worked out for her in the end, she laughed and nodded. “That’s true. I got everything I wanted.” And she was happier than she could have expected to be when she had broken up with Kyden. Still, she didn’t regret her relationship with him. “I don’t think you meant ‘would’.” She raised a brow at her. “I’m guessing this interest isn’t for nothing. Who is he?”

It did seem like something weird was going on last time I spoke to her.” Kajsa was fairly intuitive when it came to these things. “Yes,” she replied with a laugh. “That’s what happens during pregnancy. Thank you, I’m glad you’re happy. And I’ve already found out that I’m having twins. A boy and a girl.”

“Did she mention a relationship to you? Anything about love?” Ansten asked, maybe Anissa had gone to Kajsa for advice. Maybe Ansten too could get some advice. He needed help on understanding how to handle this. “Twins? Even better! They can be troublemakers like Aeron and I.”

“She’s been talking about it, yes.” It had seemed strange, and now it was even more so. “I had a feeling you would like that. They’re going to be a handful, I just know it.” She laughed. “If you have any advice with handling twins, don’t hesitate to share it.”

“Oh, really? Why is that?” Kajsa asked, wondering why he would need good news. Was there something he was privy to that she wasn’t? “Well, I hope this makes up for everything, because I’m pregnant,” she replied happily, her smile bright and excited.

“Just some stuff with Nissa.” He dismissed it quickly when hearing the news. A large grin displaying on his lips. “Pregnant? A little baby is growing inside of you!” He chuckled, enjoying seeing Kajsa so happy. It was good news he needed to hear. “I am so extremely happy for you.”

“I am sorry for the odd questions. I do hope to explain in time.” She had wanted Matthias’ okay before going ahead and telling anyone but it was always on the tip of her tongue. Her eyes flashed with a sense of hope when she said her next statement. “You were?” Anissa was often kept in the dark when it came to relationships. Which she never completely minded, Her parents just had wanted her to fill her mind with other things. “Did he ever try to end it? Even if his acts were questionable did you stand by them?  Forgive me for all the questions. I do not wish to bring up the past or any bad memories tied to it.”

Kajsa was certain she already knew why Anissa would ask this question, but she figured she would let her explain. “Of course. I guess you wouldn’t know since you weren’t here and I never brought him home...” She shook her head. “No, not really. Greta was the one that sort of forced the split between him and I, but it was inevitable. We wanted different things. When he did questionable things, he did them because he believed that it was the right thing to do. Usually. I stood by him.” She shrugged. “It’s fine. I moved on a long time ago.”

“I’ve always admired Tristan and your relationship. Let’s say hypothetically, he did something questionable but remained the same to you. Do you think Fredrick would have still given you both his blessing?”

“That is...a very strange and complicated question. I guess it depends on what questionable thing he hypothetically did. I mean, there was a man I was in love with before him that did non-hypothetically questionable things. I don’t think Freddie necessarily liked him, but I didn’t stop being with him because of any of that.”

“No, I do not mind at all.” Ansten stepped out of the way, guiding her into the room and gently closing his door. “Good news? I could use some of that right now.” He sat on the edge of the bed, listening attentively to what she had to say.

“I don’t think so, not now that everyone seems to be here. I don’t actually know what their plans are, whether they will be going to Greece or Arendelle.” They hadn’t really talked about it, and now Frederick realized he really should. “You met…let me guess, you happened to bump into him?” he teased. “What did you talk about, am I allowed to know?” Hopefully it went well. “There’s just been a lot going on. I’ve heard that the Westergaard family is here, but I’ve yet to run into any of them. Just be careful while you’re here. I don’t want anything happening to you or the twins, and it’s not easy keeping an eye on the entire family, even if we are all under one roof.” Of everyone, he trusted Kajsa and Jakob’s judgments the most, so he knew he could worry a little less about them, but with Kajsa being pregnant, he was bound to be overprotective. 

Kajsa chuckled to herself. “Could he handle Greece? Isn’t it so much hotter than Arendelle?” She asked teasingly. She was sure Jakob would be happy wherever Daphne and the baby were. “Oh, yes. I just happened to, very random,” she replied with a sly smile. “Sure, I suppose. We talked a lot about where he’s from, and he was explaining the whole video game thing to me.” It really did seem like a lot of things were going on. She hadn’t expected to come here and have two of the Westergaard children there. “I know, I will. I am trying to keep as low of a profile as possible.” It was hard, especially since there were so many people to see.

“Kajsa, hello, I am shocked to see you.” Ansten smiled at her, opening his arms for a hug. He was not a hugging person, but since he had arrived, he had been hugging his family much more often.

“I know, it’s a surprise,” Kajsa replied with a laugh, giving him a hug with ease. “I have some good news to spread, even better news that I have found more out. Do you mind if I come in?”

“I know, I know. It’s been difficult, to say the least, having you and Greta gone. I don’t know what I would do if Jakob left too,” Frederick confessed, scratching the back of his head. “What?” He looked at her with brows raised, unsure of how to take that. “Why do we have to talk about him?” Had something happened? Though knowing his sister, she’d found her way to Jax somehow. “I do, and I am. You remember that when you go home,” he teased. “And I will make sure to send some to Germany too, I’m sorry I haven’t written more. So many things have gone on here,” he shook his head. “It’s good that you missed some of it.”

“I hope Jakob won’t leave too soon. Do you think he might? With Daphne and Celena?” Kajsa asked, not really sure what Jakob’s plans were. She had never talked much about it with him. “Because I met him recently, silly.” She laughed. “I ran into him yesterday and we talked a bit.” Her brother had looked nervous, but there was nothing to be nervous about. “I promise I will,” she replied with a smile. “Thank you, I’ll definitely appreciate that.” She shook her head, not wanting him to feel bad about it. “I’m sure you’ve been busy here. I could have written more as well, anyway. I’ll be sure to do so now.”

“A week, that’s not terrible,” Frederick tried to hide his disappointment as his sister leaving so soon. He had missed her, but understood she needed to be home with her husband. “Oh, you’re going to use that to your advantage, and you should,” he laughed, leading her down to the dining hall. “They can make whatever kind of pasta you like, as you know. You should try to get all the food you can here that you can’t get in Germany, of course. I might even have some chocolate from home for you.” 

“I’m sure I will be back before the baby- I mean the babies are due, so we will see each other again.” Kajsa didn’t want her brother being too disappointed that she wouldn’t stay long. “Besides, before I leave we’ll have to talk about your boyfriend a little.” She had finally met DJ and was excited to bring him up to her brother. “You’re absolutely right. And if you really do have some chocolate from home then you really are the best brother in the world,” she replied with a smile.

Anissa sent a package to her cousins room. She attached a note to it reading:

I know you told me not to spoil your future kid but I went out for Celena and saw some things I had to pick up.

“Their first grandchild? Oh, how special! You must feel a little pride getting to bear their first.” There was always a little bit of dignity in being the first anything. It was not saying their next grandchild would not be as loved but, it was to be special as it was their first experience. “Please, Kajsa. It’s in my nature to spoil others child. You must let me have some of the fun.” Anissa always enjoyed spoiling the young ones in her family. It was too fun going out shopping for them. “How is Tristian with child?” She asked curiously. “I’m sure you’ll get the chance too. Do you have a due date yet?”

“Yes, their first,” Kajsa replied with a bright smile, very happy about that fact. “I’m really excited about it, and so are they. And I’m glad that it didn’t take me too long to get pregnant.” She had worried that she would keep everyone waiting and wondering, but now that she was pregnant there was no worrying. “All right, if I can’t stop you.” She was glad that Anissa was so excited about the baby and it made her feel better that so many people from her side were happy as well. “Tristan likes children, he was the eldest of his family, and he’s so excited about this. I think that I’ll be due in October, so it’s a few more months away.”
